Chapter 62 Two Happy Events at Changde Middle School

Chapter 62 Two Happy Events at Changde Middle School

At 9:35, familiar music sounded on the campus radio. The second class had just ended.

Like all his classmates, Tang Su quickly put on his school uniform, wore his school badge, and then went to the playground to gather.

After the second class every day, it is time for physical exercises, a total of twenty-five minutes. They only have five minutes to gather and then ten minutes to do exercises.

In less than three minutes, the originally empty playground was suddenly crowded with people.

Tang Su also quickly arrived at the playground. She stood in the team belonging to Class 5 of Grade 1. The team was arranged according to height, and the back was basically filled with boys. Since Tang Su was one of the taller girls in the class, she was arranged in the middle.

Each class lined up in a row, and there were 60 rows in total on the playground.

Changde currently has a total of 3,305 students and 375 teachers. It is the third highest senior high school in Hai City in terms of the number of teachers and students.

At 9:40, the music ended, and all the classes lined up in neat and uniform formations. All the students wore school uniforms, and at first glance it looked like a blue ocean.

The students stopped talking and waited for the radio to sound again and play the music for the break.

But the strange thing was that just when everyone was ready, the music did not start, but a voice that everyone was familiar with sounded: "Dear students of Changde, good morning. Because there is an important announcement, today's physical exercises are cancelled.") One of the vice principals of Changde, Principal Xiao Qingxiao, who is in charge of learning, walked onto the stage in front of the playground with a microphone.

Principal Xiao was holding two sheets of what looked like A4 paper in his hands, as if he was preparing for a speech.

In the team, Tang Su sighed. She hated listening to the leader's nonsense the most. It was a waste of time. She might as well do some exercises. She either slept or studied every day. She had no time to exercise. The exercises during class breaks were very precious to her.

Principal Xiao looked at the paper in his hand, coughed twice, then smiled and said:

"Next, I want to announce two happy events to you all. For our Changde Middle School, these two events are big news events that can be reported."

"First of all, we have another group of students who have successfully passed the independent enrollment examinations of several prestigious universities. Among them, 17 students who passed the independent enrollment examination of Qinghua University and received a score reduction of B or above, 21 students who received a score reduction of B or above from Jingzhou University, and another 45 students who passed the independent enrollment examinations of prestigious universities such as Jingke, Beihua, and Nanli, and also received corresponding score reduction admission preferences."

"We applaud and congratulate these students who have achieved good results in the independent enrollment examination."

There was a burst of warm applause on the playground, especially in the left area where the senior students were located. The applause was the loudest, and some students even whistled excitedly.

Tang Su's expression was indifferent. This had nothing to do with her. It wasn't her who passed the exam and got the admission score reduction. Why should she be excited?

Besides, Changde is a famous school in Shanghai and one of the top senior high schools in the country. It is normal to get such results. It is not the only class that has people pass such an exam.

Principal Xiao smiled as if his wife had given birth to another child.

He picked up the microphone again, and this time his tone was even more excited than before.

"There is another good news for you all, which is about this year's International Mathematical Olympiad."

As soon as Principal Xiao said this, thunderous applause broke out again from the audience. This time, the loudest applause came from the second year students.
