123 Gap
◎Fingers◎
The next day came in a flash.
It was a rare occasion that all four main actors were present for today's shoot. During makeup time, Qi Qiuxue made an excuse to go to the dressing room next door to check on Xia Jian's condition.
He still had that dazed look on his face, his eyes seemed a little vague, and he was still wearing the same eye mask from last night. The pattern on the mask had become blurry after a night, and it looked gray and dirty, like a ball of fog that couldn't be dissolved.
"Brother Xia, are you going to do an eye mask look today?" Qi Qiuxue casually grabbed a makeup artist and asked her doubts as a greeting.
"No," the girl she was holding shook her head. "It wasn't originally made like this, but Brother Xia said he hurt his eye last night, and the eye patch is to cover it up, so it can't be removed."
"We reported this to Director Xiao. It's possible, but the one he was wearing was awfully dirty. We suggested getting a replacement, but he refused. We had no choice but to talk to Director Xiao again." The girl sighed, her tone filled with resignation. "Director Xiao said we should just keep it that way and that we could fix it later."
"Thank you for your hard work." Qi Qiuxue patted the little girl's shoulder gently after hearing this.
About an hour later, the filming began.
After a few days of adjustment, Wen Yun has returned to her normal state. The director quickly reshot some details before and after the summoning ceremony, and no strange things happened again.
Then everyone took a short break. During this time, Gu Shitang and Wen Yun were still the same, without any communication. Xia Jian continued to chant in the corner, and his lip movements were still the same ones he had repeated in the elevator last night.

Qi Qiuxue finished retouching the makeup for other actors, and when she looked over again, she found that Xia Jian had a lot of cold sweat on his temples, perhaps because of nervousness or physical discomfort. The makeup artist responsible for retouching his makeup was not finished yet, so Qi Qiuxue took the initiative to step forward and lend a hand.
"Let me touch up your makeup." Qi Qiuxue spread the tools in her hand in front of Xia Jian.
Xia Jian ignored her words, perhaps because he didn't want her to know the content of the spell, so he restrained his chanting. Qi Qiuxue took out a foundation brush, dipped it in the prepared liquid foundation and applied it on his face. When the makeup brush swept across his right cheek, he could clearly feel that the touch of a piece of skin was different from other places.
Qi Qiuxue raised her hand and touched the skin.
——Under that piece of skin, there is a round, hard object.

The next scene is set in a campus. Compared to the overall horror and thriller atmosphere of the film, this plot is the opening of the film and the most relaxing and enjoyable scene in the entire film.
The play is introduced by an immersive drama performance. Through the wonderful acting of Gu Shitang and Xia Jian, the identities of the two protagonists are introduced to the audience, leading to the subsequent plot.
The lighting team quickly adjusted the lighting on the set, and the whole place suddenly became bright, bright and warm. The two leading actors stood on the stage, giving people an inexplicable illusion that this was not a horror movie, but rather an idol film.
With the sound of "action", Gu Shitang quickly got into the role. The role she played was a princess of a certain kingdom, lively, kind and helpful. One time, by chance, she met a prince in distress while she was out for a trip. Gu Shitang couldn't bear to see him so miserable, so she extended a helping hand to him.
The camera focuses on Gu Shitang and follows her as she moves across the stage. Gu Shitang's steps are as agile as a bird, happy and free, with beauty all over her body. She greets butterflies and strokes the branches of trees. She peels off the flowers and plants beside her and walks deeper into the world along the path under her feet.
Until at the end of the road, a figure was found hidden among the dense flowers and plants. The down-and-out prince played by Xia Jian was lying on the ground, dying.
Gu Shitang squatted down and tentatively patted his back: "Are you okay?"
No one answered.
So Gu Shitang turned his body over with force to check if he had any vital signs. Xia Jian's face was covered with mud and blood, and his appearance was almost invisible. In order to identify his identity, Gu Shitang took out a handkerchief and wiped the stains on his face.
Li Yiqing focused the camera on Gu Shitang's face as required. Her beauty, worry and concern were magnified on the monitor, but as she was wiping, she frowned very abruptly.
"Cut!" The director quickly called a halt, thinking Gu Shitang had made a mistake. "What happened?"
"His face!" Gu Shitang pointed at Xia Jian lying on the ground with a look of horror, and led everyone to look.
"My face? What happened to my face?!" Xia Jian quickly opened his eyes after hearing this, stood up and picked up the mirror from the assistant's hand, and looked at himself in the mirror in panic. He found that a round wound had appeared on his right cheek at some point, like a ripe fruit that suddenly burst, but what flowed out was not flesh, but blood and pus.
What's going on? There was nothing here just ten minutes ago!
"Are you allergic to something?!"
"Where's Doctor Li? Come and see what's going on?!" Someone started calling the doctor in the group again.
"Why is there another emergency..." Someone around seemed to be complaining about something.
Xia Jian stared at herself in the mirror dizzily. She could no longer hear or make out what others were saying. She just felt dizzy and her back was cold.
"Ajiemolu, Vikebuye."
"Ajiemolu, Vikebuye."

Xia Jian's filming ended early. Dr. Li gave him simple treatment, prescribed some medicine, and asked him to go back and rest.
After Xia Jian left, the director's face was obviously very ugly. I don't know if he was upset that the filming was forced to be interrupted again or if he was worried about something else. This unhappiness continued until a supporting role made a mistake for the third time, and then he finally exploded.
The director got very angry and scolded everyone on the set. Then he paused the filming and ran outside the set to smoke a cigarette.
No one dared to get close to him except Qi Qiuxue.
She signaled with her eyes to Li Yiqing and Su Wen to keep a close eye on the movements on the set, while she quietly followed the director's footsteps, hiding in the dark and observing his every move. She saw the director smoke a whole cigarette in annoyance, and then forced himself to take a few deep breaths to calm himself down. After that, he took out his cell phone and made a call.
He intentionally lowered his voice so that Qi Qiuxue couldn't hear everything he said, but she could vaguely infer that he seemed to be repeating what had happened to Xia Jian not long ago, and questioning the person on the other end of the phone.
"Why doesn't it seem to work this time? Something else happened!"
The volume of this sentence was a little loud, but it happened to reach Qi Qiuxue's ears completely.
What doesn't work, the spell?
It seems that the person on the other end of the phone might be some kind of immortal. Qi Qiuxue deduced from this where Xia Jian went yesterday. He probably went to meet a certain immortal under the director's introduction, trying to get the other party's help to solve this dilemma.
But what does "this time" mean? If this isn't the first time they've used the spell, how many times before? Under what circumstances? And by whom?

Are there so many ghosts that need to be suppressed?

Today's return trip is very early.
The three of them ate together in the room, took a short rest, and night fell.
They have always been concerned about Xia Jian's affairs. During this period, they went to the floor where the actors lived several times, but Xia Jian always hid in the room and did not come out, and remained indifferent even when someone knocked on the door.
He seemed to be in a state of emotional collapse, refusing to see or trust anyone, not even his assistant. Twice when Qi Qiuxue went downstairs, she noticed his assistant knocking on the door outside, begging Xia Jian to eat a little, but all he got in return was a repeated angry shout to "get out."
Before I knew it, it was already late at night.
Before going to bed, Qi Qiuxue decided to go downstairs again to try her luck. Li Yiqing was in poor condition and had a fever again. She covered her with a quilt and forced her not to come with her, saying that she would just take a look and be back.
But it was this time, by chance, that she actually met Xia Jian.
Probably because he was extremely hungry, Xia Jian got a box lunch from somewhere and prepared to go back to his room to eat.
Qi Qiuxue saw him walking in the long and narrow corridor with unsteady steps. He looked decadent and thin, like a ghost wandering outside at midnight. Before he returned to his room, Qi Qiuxue called him.
"Hmm?" Xia Jian turned his head unconsciously.
Qi Qiuxue noticed that he had covered the damaged area on his face with gauze, and even clumsily drew a talisman on it. It was obvious that the talisman was drawn there haphazardly, and both the brushwork and the direction were wrong. At most, it could only bring peace of mind.
Obviously, this approach doesn't work at all.
Qi Qiuxue discovered that there was another large gap under his left cheek, with a lot of blood and pus flowing there, but Xia Jian seemed not to have noticed it and did not have time to deal with it.
And deep in the gap, in the center, there was a flesh-colored spherical object, just like the one Qi Qiuxue touched when she was putting on makeup in the morning.
"What's wrong?" Xia Jian asked in a trance.
"Nothing." Qi Qiuxue shook her head and put on a false smile, "Just saying hello."
"Oh." Xia Jian nodded, stopped talking, turned around and was about to leave.
But before he left, the flesh-colored sphere in the center of the wound moved first, and like a tentacle, it gradually spread outward.
Qi Qiuxue frowned, and suddenly realized that the thing connected to the back of the sphere seemed very long.
It's like a small piece of finger, connected to the fingertip.
