Chapter 3 Calling a Doctor

Even though she hated Zhiyin to death, the grandmother dared not make any rash moves, fearing that Zhiyin would go mad and harm her precious grandson.

She quickly forced a smile that she thought was very kind, but was actually quite ugly. "Yinyin, be good, put down your cousin. We can talk about it slowly. You child, your grandfather almost hit you with his cane by accident. How can you hold a grudge like that?"

Zhiyin's eyes were full of sarcasm, and she gave a slight smile. "Grandmother, hasn't anyone told you that your smile is really ugly?"

Grandmother's expression changed drastically in an instant. She found those words extremely offensive. Her eyes were full of malice. Although she wanted to teach her confidante a lesson, she didn't dare to.

She forced a strained, awkward expression that looked like she was about to cry, and scolded, "What nonsense are you talking about, child?"

Seeing that her beloved grandson was disobedient and hearing his pitiful cries, she was extremely anxious.

He immediately looked at Yao Yulin, "Daughter-in-law, why don't you quickly persuade Yinyin? Her behavior is not good. If people find out that she disrespects her elders and bullies her younger siblings, she won't be able to get married in the future, and her reputation will be ruined."

Although she tried her best to make her voice sound kind, Yao Yulin could still detect the threat in it.

Seeing the ugly and hateful expressions on her aunt's and grandmother's faces, she felt a sense of satisfaction, but considering that they were a widow and her child and still needed to rely on them, and that it was indeed bad for Yinyin's reputation, she opened her mouth to plead for them.

However, Zhiyin spoke first, "I can let Zhifu go, but you must find me a doctor, right now!!"

Her voice was full of assertiveness.

Zhiyin knew that the current situation was very unfavorable to them. The grandmothers already disliked them, and if they were to let Zhifu go so easily, it would be disastrous.

Judging from how much Zhifu is pampered, the next thing they'll be facing is a beating from their uncle's family. They'll definitely beat them to a pulp.

Moreover, she still has a fever, but she's just putting on a brave face. She's at her last gasp, and she doesn't want to have to be reincarnated again right after transmigrating.

"Okay, okay, okay."

Upon hearing this, the eldest aunt's eyes lit up instantly, and she immediately kicked her daughter, Zhi Zhaodi, hard. "You brat, what are you looking at? Haven't you been hoping your brother would get beaten up? Hurry up and find a doctor!"

Her eyes were devoid of warmth, and her movements were unusually rough; it was impossible to tell that Zhi Zhaodi was her daughter.

However, Zhi Zhaodi only nodded obsequiously, but the moment she turned around, her eyes were filled with hidden malice and jealousy as she looked at Zhiyin.

It's all her fault! She had to cause trouble and made me go out in the dead of winter. Damn it!

She thought her glance was subtle, but Zhiyin still caught her malicious look. She couldn't help but frown, searched her memory, and finally understood what was going on.

It turns out that Zhi Zhaodi had hated and even envied Zhiyin since childhood, just because they were both the eldest daughters in their families, both 15 years old, and both grandmothers favored boys over girls.

However, the difference is that her mother disliked her because she was a girl and would beat and scold her at the drop of a hat. Although the original owner was not favored by her grandparents, her parents loved her and Zhihua very much and always gave them the best things.

Therefore, out of jealousy, she harbored resentment towards the original owner and frequently caused trouble for her, both openly and secretly.

In the past, whenever the original owner's father earned money, he would always secretly save some or quietly buy snacks for the original owner.

However, after Zhi Zhaodi found out by chance, she went to her grandmother to complain, and from then on, her father could no longer improve their meals.

The confidante felt speechless and ridiculous. This kind of person is sick and has a dark mind. Instead of blaming the truly hateful person, she vents all her anger on the same victim, just because she thinks the victim should be worse off than her.

"Yinyin, can you put your cousin down now?"

Aunt asked cautiously.

"No, we have to wait until your daughter comes back before we can release it."

Zhiyin is not stupid. Given the nature of her aunt's family, if Zhifu were released now, they would definitely not find her any doctor.

Because they would think it's a waste of money.

The only thing I can do is beat her up and then let them fend for themselves.

Even worse, some people simply kick them out of their homes in the dead of winter.

As she thought about it, Zhiyin's eyes grew even darker.

His dark pupils swept over everyone present, finally settling on his grandmother's distorted and ugly face.

According to the laws of the Great Chu Dynasty, the original owner's father's pension was to be divided equally among his parents, wife, and children, so their share had to be returned.

Besides, she didn't want to continue toiling away for this cold, impersonal home...

I must get out of this family as soon as possible and lead them to a happy life.

With her photographic memory, countless pieces of relevant knowledge, and business experience, she believed she could provide a better life for the original owner's mother and sister on her own.

She didn't want to live such a poor life.

However, none of this is urgent...

We need to take it slow; after all, the most important thing right now is to get our health back.

Otherwise, if it really burns out, then it would be a huge loss.

For some reason, everyone couldn't help but shiver under her gaze.

Yao Yulin touched Zhiyin's cheek again with concern, her eyes full of heartache. She suspected that her child had been driven crazy.

Otherwise, how could they possibly do such a heinous thing?

Thinking about it, I couldn't help but let out a heavy sigh.

It's all her fault, it's all her fault for being such an incompetent mother.

If only the child's father were still alive, the three of them wouldn't have been bullied so badly.

At least with her husband around, her grandmother's family wouldn't be so blatant.

well.

The younger sister, Zhihua, blinked her bright, sparkling eyes, which were almost curved into crescent shapes, and looked at Zhiyin with admiration.

Then he looked at his grandmothers.

Wow, my sister is really amazing! She actually scared these old hags like that.

She really wanted to help her sister too!

"Come on, Mom, let's draw, then we'll go inside and warm ourselves by the fire!"

Zhiyin felt an excruciating headache and was really about to collapse. She glanced at her grandmothers' unfriendly eyes, but didn't care. She simply grabbed Zhifu and dragged him into the main room.

Although the grandmothers wanted to stop them, they were afraid that their precious grandson would be beaten again, so they could only let Zhiyin and the others go in.

As soon as Zhiyin entered, he was greeted by a broom.

She smiled faintly, and without hesitation, she blocked Zhifu in front of her again.

The broom hit Zhifu's face instantly.

Zhifu immediately let out a heart-wrenching scream.

Hearing Zhifu's screams, the grandfather panicked, "Fu'er..."

Then he glared angrily at Zhiyin, "You bastard, how could you treat your cousin like this?"

"Tsk... Is Grandpa getting dementia from old age? What does that have to do with me? Didn't you hit him?"

Zhiyin smiled and pushed her grandfather, who was sitting in a wheelchair, aside, while she invited Yao Yulin and her sister to sit by the stove to warm themselves.

Seeing that her aunt and the others were about to come in, Zhiyin suddenly stepped forward and kicked the door shut.
