Chapter 35 proposes a division of the family.

A threat, this is a blatant threat!

Seeing Zhiyin's extremely irritating smile, the uncle gritted his teeth and finally revealed a forced smile, his voice sounding like it was being squeezed out from between his teeth, "Mother, give her the silver!"

His voice was cold, and his gaze at Zhiyin was like that of a venomous snake, yet Zhiyin showed no fear whatsoever.

Seeing her grandmother hand the key to her grandfather and whisper something in his ear, she smiled gently and said, "Then thank you very much, Uncle!"

Her voice was filled with schadenfreude and glee, which her uncle found extremely offensive. He wished he could skin her alive so she could never laugh again.

"Zhiyin, have you thought this through? Are you sure you want to completely break ties with us? You're going to stay in this family from now on! Are you really going to be so ruthless?"

Grandfather held the heavy silver in his hand, still unwilling to let go easily, and wanted to struggle a few more times.

"Thank you, Grandfather, but you need not worry about these matters."

Zhiyin, however, took the silver from his hand with a grin. Seeing her grandfather's reluctant expression, she didn't want to let go and simply snatched it away with a smile.

Despite the murderous looks on everyone's faces, he slowly began to count.

"How petty! Do you think we'd shortchange you? Counting? Do you really think we're as heartless as you are?"

Grandmother felt heartbroken and annoyed watching Zhiyin slowly count the money. She tried to hold back, but couldn't help giving Zhiyin a dirty look, wanting to upset her.

Zhiyin, however, didn't care at all. After seeing that there was no problem with the money, she looked at her relatives who looked at her like snakes and beasts and clapped her hands with a smile without any mercy. "Now that the money has been returned, let's talk about the next thing!"

Upon hearing that there was more to it, Grandmother's eyes widened immediately. "What else do you want to do? You'd better not push your luck! Otherwise, we're not without ways to deal with you! We might as well fight to the death!"

Even her grandfather and uncles all stared at Zhiyin with unfriendly eyes, thinking that she was just making trouble for no reason.

"Hey everyone, don't get agitated! It's nothing serious. It's just that since things have gotten this bad, why don't we split up?"

Unlike their excited reactions, Zhiyin remained remarkably calm. Despite discussing such a significant matter as dividing the family property, she spoke of it as casually as eating or drinking.

"Separate the family?"

Upon hearing this, the grandmother and the others all changed their expressions, each with a different opinion.

Grandfather and eldest uncle only thought about it for a moment before immediately agreeing.

But Grandmother and Aunt exchanged a glance and immediately objected firmly, "No! We're not dead, why should we divide the family property?"

"This brat, are you trying to embarrass us in the village? You're doing it on purpose, aren't you?"

Grandmother was so excited that she almost leaned half her body off the bed, baring her teeth and claws as if to hit Zhiyin. But before she could hit him, the force was too great, pulling on her buttocks. She was so shocked by the sharp pain that she screamed.

After carefully tumbling back onto the bed, she started groaning and moaning, muttering angrily, "Anyway, I disagree!!"

"Yes, yes, I disagree too!"

The eldest aunt quickly chimed in, joking, "If the family splits up, wouldn't she be the one suffering the most?"

Wouldn't she end up like Yao Yulin before, busy from morning till night, running around like crazy?

Of course, most importantly, she had already made arrangements with her grandmother to find an opportunity to marry off that little slut, Zhiyin.

If the family splits up, won't they be unable to control her anymore?

How can I achieve my goal then?

The money given away cannot be given away for nothing; we must find another way to squeeze every last drop out of our confidants and get the money back!

Moreover, if the family were to split up, wouldn't they have to share the money with Zhiyin and the others?

She'd be stupid to agree!

As she thought about it, her eyes were full of calculation.

"Tsk... I'm not discussing this with you, I'm informing you!!"

"I've decided to divide this family property. Whether you agree or not, it's not up to you to decide!"

Zhiyin sneered. Did they really think she was asking for their opinions?

How ridiculous!

"Bah! You think we can't make the decisions? We're your elders, why can't we?"

"You little brat, do you think you can make decisions? Call your mother out here! Let's see if she dares to break up the marriage! Let's see if she has any shame left!"

Grandmother spat angrily and shouted repeatedly into the inner room, "Yao Yulin, get out here! Are you just going to watch your daughter make a fool of herself like this?"

"How can you do this to my son? How heartbroken he would be if he knew that you separated the family after his body was barely cold?"

Grandmother was also extremely unwilling. After all, once the family was divided, how could she exploit Yao Yulin? How could she marry Zhiyin and Zhihua off to rich men to make money when they grew up? How could she earn money for her own Fu'er to get a wife and go to school?

Yao Yulin, who was inside the house, had already heard the commotion outside and calmly walked out.

Looking at these so-called relatives, she felt an unprecedented sense of peace in her heart.

She knew that Zhiyin's choice was right. If they continued to stay in this family, they would only be slaves for the rest of their lives, with no chance of ever getting ahead. They probably wouldn't even be able to concentrate on their studies or painting.

Thinking of this, the reluctance in her eyes disappeared. Before her grandmother could speak, she said coldly, word by word, "What Yinyin wants to do is what we, her mother and I, want to do! We will listen to her."

"Moreover, we not only want to separate the family, we also want to sever all ties with our relatives!"

When Yao Yulin said this, her voice was firm and resolute, and her eyes were full of determination and resolve, showing no sign of backing down.

Clearly, she was heartbroken by this family and no longer wanted anything to do with them.

Of course, she did think a little more. Separating the family was just a separation. If Yinyin and the others became successful in the future, their grandmother and others could still make demands on them as relatives and use filial piety to pressure them.

This will inevitably affect her painting to some extent, and she doesn't want to see that day come.

Now that things have escalated to this point, there's no room for maneuver.

If you're going to break it off, then break it off cleanly!

Upon hearing this, the entire room fell silent.

Grandmother, grandfather, uncle, and aunt all stared at Yao Yulin in disbelief, unable to believe that the usually docile girl would utter such rebellious words.

Sever ties!

This is a very serious matter! Once the relationship is severed and a letter of severance is written, then on the surface, there will truly be no further connection.

Unless there's something extremely serious, no one will write about it.

"What? You want to sever ties with your family? You shameless woman, how dare you?"
