Chapter 7: If you won't let me eat, then nobody should eat!

He let it go in one ear and out the other, pretending not to hear it, and continued to do as he pleased.

When they saw the large, plump, and fragrant stewed chicken on the table, which looked so delicious it made their mouths water, their eyes lit up instantly.

"Wow, this chicken looks delicious."

She nodded, praising him, and even exaggeratedly licked her lips.

Zhihua's eyes were practically glued to her muscles as she carefully and yearnedly licked her lips.

The gaze directed at the muscles was terrifyingly intense.

"Damn it, didn't you hear me? There's no food for you!"

Grandmother was almost furious. Seeing that her friend was even commenting on it, she became even angrier. "You brat! Fu'er suffered today. This was to nourish my precious grandson. How dare you eat it? I'm being lenient by not holding you accountable!"

She threatened him fiercely, "If you dare to eat it, I'll make you regret it!"

Zhiyin still acted as if she didn't exist, and without any politeness, stood up and put a chicken leg into Yao Yulin's bowl. "Mother, you haven't had meat in a long time, have you? Today we can finally eat our fill!"

Her tone was beaming, and her eyes were full of joy and happiness.

She was genuinely happy! After all, the chicken was home-raised, plump, tender, and fresh.

Moreover, she felt happy just seeing the unhappy, resentful, and disgusted faces of the other people at the table, as if they had eaten shit.

However, the next second, the grandmother stood up with a ferocious expression and slapped Zhiyin's hand that was holding the chicken leg.

Unfortunately, Zhiyin reacted quickly and dodged, causing her somewhat plump body to stumble and nearly crash onto the table.

It was only thanks to my grandfather's quick reflexes that it didn't crash.

"Hehe, Mom, let's eat chicken..."

Zhiyin glanced at her grandmother and grandfather, whose faces were ashen, then chuckled and placed the entire pot of chicken in front of her.

Grandmother instantly exploded, and Aunt, who rushed over upon hearing the news, also flew into a rage, yelling at Zhiyin, "You damned brat, what are you trying to do?"

"That's my Fu'er's food! How dare you steal his things? Have you no shame?"

Zhifu was sitting next to Zhiyin when he saw that Zhiyin had put all his favorite chicken into her bowl. He immediately became furious and started punching and kicking Zhiyin.

Zhiyin glanced at him disdainfully, sneered, and without any restraint, kicked him away hard.

"Looks like he still doesn't learn his lesson! It's okay, I have experience dealing with naughty kids. If one beating isn't enough, I'll just give him a few more."

Despite his young age, Zhifu, probably due to his upbringing, is full of foul language in this corrupt environment. He used to beat and scold the original owner and others, and he also loved to tease and bully Zhihua.

Zhihua could only passively endure it each time, after all, Zhifu was the family's precious treasure, and every time she complained, Zhihua was the one who suffered in the end.

"Oh, my son..."

Auntie had already picked up a broom, ready to give Zhiyin a good beating, but then she saw her precious son being bullied.

Without thinking, she threw the broom aside and anxiously helped him up to comfort him.

Grandparents and uncles also forgot to eat, they were so distressed, and rushed over to check on Zhifu's condition.

Chaos erupted at the scene, with everyone circling around Zhifu.

Seeing this, Zhiyin curled her lips and felt happy to be at ease. While watching this farce, she ate the chicken in front of her mouth and found it even more delicious!

"Eat, Mom!"

Seeing Yao Yulin's worried expression, she quickly gestured for her to eat.

He then looked at Zhihua and saw her eyes sparkling, as if she were eating some exquisite delicacy, wolfing down the meat in her hand with oil dripping from the corners of her mouth. Only then did he smile with satisfaction.

"Get out...get the hell out of here, you jinx! You and your mother are both here to bring bad luck to us!"

"Damn it, how did our family ever get involved with a good-for-nothing like you? Is there no justice in this world?"

Grandmother was so angry that she tried to push Zhiyin, but Zhiyin quickly lifted the pot and dodged to the side.

She even gave her a deliberately reproachful look, "Oh dear, my dear grandmother, what are you saying? I just saw that my cousin has a bit of osteoporosis, so I loosened up his muscles and bones. He should be thanking me!"

"Do you want me to help you too?"

Zhiyin winked at her playfully, her face full of innocence.

"you…"

Grandmother was furious and angrily picked up the shovel from the ground and chased after Zhiyin.

"Alright, stop fooling around... Do you want to eat or not?"

Just then, Grandfather finally gave Zhiyin a dark and unfriendly look, and slammed his hand on the table.

He was, after all, the head of the family and still held considerable authority, so no one dared to make a move.

Grandmother also shut up awkwardly and obediently sat down at the table, but her eyes were still glaring fiercely at Zhiyin.

The uncle and aunt could only accept their bad luck, glared at Zhiyin, and then went to scoop rice again.

Despite the unfriendly stares from everyone, Zhiyin remained unperturbed, continuing to do as she pleased, even appearing extremely happy as she picked up food for herself.

"Mom, have this piece..."

"good"

"Choo choo choo..."

An invisible tension rose at the table. Whenever Zhiyin tried to pick up a piece of food, her grandmother or aunt would quickly press her chopsticks down with their own.

Seeing that Zhiyin was stunned, they thought they had finally gained the upper hand and that she had finally admitted defeat, so they couldn't help but laugh happily.

"You brat, you think you can mess with me? You're still standing there!"
