Chapter 118 The Terrified Uncle Huang

I pressed the call button, "Hey, Brother Yin."

"Changming, where are you?" Zhang Guangyin's anxious voice came from the phone.

"What's up at the Grand Temple?" I asked.

"Then hurry back, it's almost six o'clock. The boss and Uncle Huang are already waiting for you here," Zhang Guangyin said urgently on the phone.

I glanced at my watch and was surprised to find it was already 5:45. I told Zhang Guangyin I understood and then rode my electric scooter toward the courier station.

I thought I was just taking a nap under the big tree, but I didn't expect to sleep for three or four hours.

I went back to the courier station, parked my car, and hurried into the office.

Sure enough, Huang Haitao and Uncle Huang were already waiting there.

"Hehe, Changming, you're back." Huang Haitao nodded and smiled when he saw me.

"Okay, boss, shall we set off now?" I didn't know how long Huang Haitao and the others had been waiting for me here, so I asked directly.

"Brother Changming, is there anything else you need to prepare? If not, let's set off now." Uncle Huang stood up from his chair and asked me.

"That's all, we can set off now," I replied, shaking my head.

"Let's go then." Huang Haitao stood up and walked towards the door.

I followed Huang Haitao out of the office, got into his Toyota Crown, and Huang Haitao started the car and drove out of the courier station.

On the road.

Uncle Huang glanced at me and asked, "Young Brother Changming, you haven't had dinner yet, have you?"

"Not yet." I nodded truthfully.

“We haven’t eaten either. When we get to the county town, I’ll treat you to a meal,” Uncle Huang said.

"Okay," I replied, leaning back in my seat and quietly watching the scenery outside the car window.

After returning to the county town, Uncle Huang took Huang Haitao and me to a hotel for dinner, and then we headed to his home.

When we arrived at Uncle Huang's house, it was already past nine o'clock at night. Looking at the three-story villa in front of me, I finally understood what Zhang Guangyin meant by that sentence: He's fucking rich.

The villa faces south and has a large open space in front of it. Although the area is newly developed, it is in a good location, and the roads have been paved and streetlights have been installed. There are also several houses under construction around it.

"Changming, have you figured out anything?" Uncle Huang asked, standing behind me.

I shook my head, since I'm not a feng shui expert, but I felt that the villa looked eerie, though I didn't say it aloud.

If there's something unclean about it, I can try to fix it; if it's not unclean, then there's nothing I can do.

"Then let's go in first."

Uncle Huang walked over, opened the villa gate, went inside first, and turned on all the lights in the villa.

I followed them inside and saw how lavishly decorated the villa was. I wondered how much money it must have cost. The world of the rich is truly beyond the comprehension of the poor.

Uncle Huang lived on the first floor. He showed me around the villa, but I didn't find anything.

After returning to the hall and sitting down again, Uncle Huang looked at me and asked, "Brother Changming, have you noticed anything amiss?"

"No." I shook my head. Apart from feeling a bit of yin energy, I didn't notice anything unusual.

"So what should we do now?"

I saw a hint of disappointment flash across Uncle Huang's face, but I didn't pay it any mind and said softly, "Now we can only wait."

"Um... Changming, I need to go back and check on my daughter's homework. Uncle Huang, I'll leave things here with you." Huang Haitao patted my shoulder and said softly.

"Boss, if you have something to do, you can go back first. If there really is anything dirty, I'll take care of it."

"Okay." Huang Haitao nodded, then went out and drove away in his car.

Only Uncle Huang and I were left in the villa.

Uncle Huang stood up from the sofa opposite me and sat down next to me, saying, "Changming, then I'll have to trouble you tonight."

"Uncle Huang, when do you usually see or hear about those strange things?" I suddenly asked.

Uncle Huang thought for a moment and whispered in my ear, "It's usually after 10 p.m.

I checked my watch; it was exactly 9:45 p.m. Since I couldn't see anything for the time being, I could only wait until 10 p.m. to take another look.

"Uncle Huang, if you're tired, go and rest. I'll stay here and watch over you, don't worry," I said softly, looking at Uncle Huang who seemed a little restless.

"No need, no need, I'm not sleepy yet," Uncle Huang said, handing me a cigarette while lighting one for himself.

And so, neither of us spoke, we just quietly smoked. After I finished one, Uncle Huang gave me another. I had no choice but to keep smoking since I was bored anyway.

Just as I stubbed out my second cigarette, the lights in the villa suddenly flickered.

Just then, with a creak, the villa's door was blown open by a gust of cold wind.

"That brat Huang, he didn't even close the door properly when he left," Uncle Huang spat, and was about to go over and close the door.

I quickly reached out to stop him and whispered, "Don't go over there."

"Young Master Changming, what's going on?" Uncle Huang asked, puzzled.

"He's here," I said softly.

"Who's here?" Uncle Huang glanced in the direction of the gate and asked, puzzled.

"Didn't you see him? A skinny old man?" I asked back.

"No, there isn't." Uncle Huang glanced towards the gate again, then seemed to remember something, his expression changed drastically, and he exclaimed in surprise, "You mean a thin old man?"

"Mm." I nodded gently.

"It's him, I...I saw him in my dream, where is he now?" Uncle Huang asked in a trembling voice, his whole body shaking.

"We've already entered the hall," I replied. Seeing that Uncle Huang was pale and trembling all over, I was afraid he would have a serious illness from fright, so I quickly patted his shoulder and comforted him, "Don't worry, I'm here, nothing will happen."

"Brother Changming, please hurry and drive him away," Uncle Huang said, trembling as he hid behind me.

“Even if you chase him away, he’ll come back.” I said casually.

"Then... what should we do?" Uncle Huang asked, trembling.

"Don't worry, this skinny old man doesn't look like a vicious or dirty thing," I said, patting Uncle Huang on the shoulder to comfort him.

After hearing my words, Uncle Huang sat up straight again, glanced timidly in the direction of the door, and then pointed at the rocking chair with a look of horror, trembling as he asked, "Brother Changming, is that filthy thing sitting in the rocking chair right now?"

"You can see now too?" I glanced at Uncle Huang and asked curiously.

"I can't see it, but I saw the rocking chair moving, just like before," Uncle Huang said with a look of horror.
