The group of people who had followed Mo Shuwan all the way looked excitedly at the stone gate and involuntarily took two more steps forward.
It's finally here...
Mo Shuwan narrowed her eyes and slowly continued to knock on the stone door with the door knocker. Standing in front of this door, she had a premonition that she would have to push it open herself. At first, she tried knocking on the door knocker twice, but nothing special happened, which made her even more emboldened.
The crisp knocking sound echoed in the darkness, but the stone door remained closed, causing the people waiting in the dark to become restless. They moved closer to Mo Shuwan.
Mo Shuwan's lips curled slightly. She shifted her posture slightly, turning sideways to face the group of people moving towards her in the darkness. She wasn't impatient and continued to slowly pull the door knocker until the group was only seven or eight meters away from her. Then, she suddenly threw out a card and rushed over as fast as she could.
The binding card perfectly trapped a person in place. Mo Shuwan rushed over and pinned the person to the ground. Listening to the rapidly receding footsteps around her, she pressed her silver bow against the neck of the person who was staring at her in terror and said with a smile, "You've been following me all this way, haven't you? You want me to push open that door?"
"@##¥%@"
A string of notes she couldn't understand entered her ears. Mo Shuwan didn't speak again. She carefully examined the person she was holding down and basically confirmed that this guy was a native of this world, but not human.
Looking at the other's two long, pointed ears, Mo Shuwan raised an eyebrow. "An elf?" She paused, then added, "A dark elf?"
Seeing the stunned expression on the other person's face, she finally confirmed one fact: this indigenous person, who spoke an unknown language, could understand her. It didn't matter that she couldn't understand him, as long as he could.
Mo Shuwan shifted to a more comfortable position, pressing the silver bow against the other's neck, and said in a deep voice, "I have a few questions to ask you. If you can tell me the truth, I won't hurt you, understand?"
"#¥%%¥"
Mo Shuwan nodded. "Good that you understand. The first question is, was it you who made me appear here? If yes, nod; if no, shake your head. I'll give you ten seconds to think about it."
After the last note faded, Mo Shuwan began the countdown. She seemed relaxed, but her attention was not entirely on the captured aboriginal. There were at least four aboriginals who had escaped earlier, and if they hadn't acted so hastily, she wouldn't have been able to find a weakness and capture them.
These indigenous people are incredibly good at hiding. She was extremely vigilant the whole way here, but she didn't notice anyone else around her at all.
She glanced down at the time. "Time's up. Now you need to tell me the answer to the question I just asked."
After staring at Mo Shuwan for a moment, the indigenous man shook his head and then nodded. He said, "Another race brought you here. We only found you along the way."
Mo Shuwan was somewhat surprised, "So you can speak our language... What do you mean by 'another race'? What are their goals, and what are yours?"
"Let me go first, then I'll tell you."
"You go first."
Mo Shuwan stood her ground, and the aboriginal frowned, seemingly hesitating for a moment before saying, "We have no ill intentions... otherwise you would have died many times over along the way."
What the other person said was true. Mo Shuwan nodded in agreement with the second half of his statement. She thought for a moment and was about to ask other questions when she suddenly heard a very faint sound of wind. She grabbed the aboriginal on the ground and tried to dodge to the side, but it was too late. The large net had already covered her.
Mo Shuwan reacted instantly and tried to tear open the net, but the net was made of some unknown material. Wherever it touched her, the protective shield of the talisman was rapidly dissolving, and the natives behind her had already escaped the moment she was trapped.
With nowhere to escape, Mo Shuwan had no choice but to replenish her defensive talismans. The footsteps around her grew louder and louder, and gradually, pairs of feet appeared in her sight. Upon closer inspection, she found that they were the same size as the footprints she had encountered in the cave earlier.
Among these indigenous people, the tallest one was ushered to the front. He stood in front of Mo Shuwan and asked in a deep voice, "What race are you, and why are you able to extract the power of the dark origin?"
The origin of darkness?
Mo Shuwan pursed her lips and remained silent, quickly thinking of a solution.
Thud—
“If you are willing to extract the power of the dark origin for us, we can release you.” As soon as the native’s voice faded, a dying dark creature was strangely stuffed into the net in front of Mo Shuwan.
Mo Shuwan narrowed her eyes as she looked at the dark creature pushed in front of her. The source of darkness referred to those black crystals?
"Why should I help you? Is this how you ask for help?" As she spoke, Mo Shuwan used her silver bow to push against the large net above her head, temporarily abandoning the idea of simply and roughly breaking through the net to escape.
“We also want peace, but you have captured our people.”
Mo Shuwan spent more than ten minutes communicating with these natives, but failed to extract any valuable information from them. Annoyed that she refused to help extract the Dark Source, the natives took her away. For the next half hour, everything within Mo Shuwan's sight was dark, and even the lighting prop card on her shoulder could not help her see her surroundings.
Mo Shuwan, who was being dragged along in the net, was not idle. While the natives were carrying her, she carefully considered the series of things she had encountered since arriving in this dark world. In the end, she could not find any common ground among these things, so she could only helplessly put down the extra thoughts in her mind for the time being. She silently added a few more defensive talismans to herself and did not resist, letting the natives pull her forward.
