Chapter 309 The Newly Born Race

Repairing the world's core?

Mo Shuwan, who was about to resist, paused for a moment, then silently lowered her hand from the bowstring. If she wasn't mistaken... she might soon find out the real reason for the changes that had occurred in this world.

However, thinking about her African heritage, Mo Shuwan couldn't help but feel uneasy, hoping that nothing unexpected would happen along the way.

As she followed the indigenous people rushing toward the passage in front of her, Mo Shuwan looked back and saw a fierce battle breaking out not far away. Unfortunately, in the boundless darkness, she could not see clearly who was fighting there.

Now, she has an opportunity to figure out why this world has changed. After weighing her options, she chooses to follow the natives, ignoring the battle taking place behind her.

Together they ran at lightning speed from one dark passage to another. The reason they knew these were passages wasn't because of the lighting props they carried, but because there were glowing things above these passages. Although the light was faint, it was enough to see their surroundings.

After running around for about half an hour, Mo Shuwan felt herself being pushed. The next second, a strong feeling of weightlessness came over her. She gritted her teeth, gripped the silver bow in her hand, and let her body fall downwards.

"Hurry! They're catching up!"

"Protect these alien races! Only they can collect the Dark Essence!"

Perhaps the situation was truly urgent, for these indigenous people no longer pretended in front of them and completely exposed their purpose. Mo Shuwan, who was landing, narrowed her eyes. With several thuds, she had just gotten up when she was pushed forward by a hand again.

Just as Mo Shuwan and the others were pushed into the darkness and fell downwards, Wen Zuo and the others, who were helplessly waiting in place, suddenly looked up towards the direction outside the cave.

While the others managed to contain their emotions, Chen Jiaxu immediately became excited. He stood up and took a few steps towards the cave entrance, exclaiming with delight, "I think I sensed the captain and the others just now!"

"You're not mistaken! It really is Arou and the others. Damn it, they've been missing for so long and they've finally shown up!" Zou Zhiqing cursed under his breath, then bent down and said anxiously, "Quickly put Arou on my back. We should still be able to catch up with them in time."

Just now, everyone who signed the contract with Zheng Shanhe vaguely sensed the location of their teammates whose other souls had disappeared.

Knowing where they are now is better than staying here helplessly. Wen Zuo breathed a sigh of relief, carefully helped Mo Shuwan up, and whispered, "Come and help me, be gentle."

Chen Jiaxu, who was in a state of excitement, hurriedly walked back to Wen Zuo's side. However, before he could make a move, Yun Chen, who was closer to Wen Zuo, had already reached out and lifted Mo Shuwan onto Wen Zuo's back. The movement was far from gentle.

Wen's left temple vein throbbed violently. "I told you to be gentle!"

Yun Chen looked at Wen Zuo, seemingly puzzled as to why he was angry. After a moment of silence, he explained, "Mother's soul is not in her body, so she cannot feel pain."

"It's not a matter of whether she can feel pain or not. Her body cannot be harmed in any way right now. If you move too hard and injure her, it could very well cause her physical death after the bead's effects wear off, understand?"

"So that's how it is." A hint of guilt appeared on Yun Chen's face. He lowered his head, not daring to look at Wen Zuo, and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, Father, I will be more careful next time."

Worried about Mo Shuwan's safety, Wen Zuo had no mood to role-play with Yun Chenjing. Hearing his apology, he simply grunted and quickly took out a rope and handed it to Chen Jiaxu, saying, "Tie it tight—wait."

Chen Jiaxu, holding the rope, watched as Wen Zuo took out a down jacket. He was about to remind her that the temperature outside the cave wasn't that low when he heard Wen Zuo say, "Wrap this around where you're going to tie the rope. I'm afraid the rope will hurt her."

"Oh, okay, I'll be careful."

It took Chen Jiaxu about ten minutes to secure Mo Shuwan tightly to Wen Zuo's back. To prevent the rope from hurting Mo Shuwan, she was wrapped in three down jackets, making her look incredibly bulky. In addition, Hope and the stratosphere were also placed on top, so Wen Zuo felt a little bit light in the front and heavy in the back. It took him a while to adjust before he could avoid accidentally falling backward.

"You two, don't hurt her."

grumble--

roar!

The Hope and Stratosphere, nestled under Mo Shuwan's shoulder, obediently faced her with their softest bellies. They gently rubbed against her cheeks, carefully retracting their claws to avoid accidentally leaving any wounds on her.

Wen Zuo could fight while carrying Mo Shuwan, but Chen Jiaxu couldn't while carrying Liu Dongcheng. He tried to wake Liu Dongcheng up, but in the end everyone carried their teammates. Liu Dongcheng, lying side by side, was fast asleep, both in body and soul, as if his eyes were covered. He could clearly see Liu Dongcheng's eyeballs moving violently, but he just couldn't wake up.

"What should we do?"

"I'll give it a try."

Wen Zuo, carrying Mo Shuwan on his back, was about to walk over when he saw Yun Chen already a step ahead of him, standing in front of Liu Dongcheng. He quickly called out to stop him, "Don't move—"

Seeing the red mark on Liu Dongcheng's forehead, Chen Jiaxu stared in shock, then looked sharply at Liu Dongcheng's body beside him. Sure enough, there was a small wound on his forehead as well. It didn't seem to be a problem now, but soon this small wound would start to worsen!
