Chapter 76

Chapter 76

"Feijia, where did you find such an interesting child!"

Fyodor, who had returned, sighed and stepped back to avoid the head that appeared in the air.

Do you also know Gogol?

“Let’s go, I’ll take you to see Kamui.” Ignoring Gogol’s curiosity, Fyodor summoned Sigma.

Gogol reluctantly withdrew his hand, his face regaining its mocking smile, and followed them with light steps.

The pristine white door at the end of the corridor was slowly pushed open, revealing a man in black standing in the empty hall. Gogol's smile faded considerably for the first time. They had little to talk about with Kamui; their paths diverged, and their current schemes were nothing more than mutual calculations. Gogol had nothing to say to the authorities, bound by law, morality, and faith.

“Fyja—,” he drawled, “why is Kamui here?”

Fyodor didn't turn around; he simply stretched out his hand, his fingertips pointing slightly behind him.

“Kamui,” his voice was as calm as a deep pool, “this is Sigma, and from today onwards, he will stay here.”

"Oh, so he's the opportunity you were talking about?" Possessing the ability to read books, Kamui, hidden behind his large black robes, slightly turned his head to look behind Fyodor, his voice unreadable, "Why is there another child?"

"Dad," the child looked at Kamui and spoke up, whispering to Sigma in a voice that could be heard by all the other ability users present, "Hiding your head and showing your tail is not a good thing."

“…Little Lolita,” Fyodor smiled and turned the child’s head toward Kamui, “this is the official I was talking about.”

She doesn't recognize Kamui, or does she need to see Fukuchi Sakura's appearance to recognize him?

"Oh, oh, oh!" Little Luo, oblivious to embarrassment, skipped and hopped down the stairs. "Uncle, you have such bad taste! How could you fall for Guoguo and Dad? They're wanted criminals, international ones!"

"Little Luo!" Sigma called out nervously and quietly from behind.

"Huh?" Fukuchi Sakura, his identity exposed, glanced at Fyodor indifferently, then leaned down to look at Xiao Luo with interest. "So what should we do? I'm also troubled by having no one to use!"

Little Luo excitedly pointed to Sigma, "Look at my dad, he's so good! He's smart, clever, and good at falsifying accounts. He's perfect for a stable job!"

Sigma revealed a clear look in his eyes: "Me?"

"Yes!" the child exclaimed loudly. She was genuinely worried that if she left Sigma's father alone, he might be eaten.

After all, it looks delicious. Although it's not strawberry or vanilla flavored, Xiao Luo can accept it because of its strong taro flavor.

The child swallowed hard, and Sigma felt a chilling danger creeping up on him, as if it were about to devour him bit by bit, literally devour him.

Xiao Luo's words made Kamui burst into laughter. He casually turned to Fyodor and asked, "Where did you get this?"

Fyodor said casually, "She happened to show up with Sigma, so I brought them back together."

Kamui raised an eyebrow, his laughter subsiding as his gaze swept over Xiao Luo, who was curiously observing the room not far away. His tone became more playful: "Coincidentally appearing together? Fyodor, you never do business without a profit."

“I just found it interesting.” Fyodor lowered his eyelashes, a cryptic smile playing on his lips. “I’ve discovered something interesting, but please rest assured, it’s just my personal matter.”

The frail, black-haired youth was polite, and his calm tone shifted, "Instead of that, you might as well get to know Sigma better first."

Subconsciously, Fyodor concealed Xiao Luo's question, perhaps because she was more valuable to him than the book? Although he was cooperating with Fukuchi Sakura, he was not prepared to honestly complete the cooperation. He had to be prepared to be betrayed if he made a deal with a rat.

He calmly lowered his eyes, beckoned the child back, and said with absolute certainty. He wouldn't give the book's information to anyone.

"Wait, wait!" Little Luo showed no sign of obeying, still nagging beside Kamui, who could threaten her life at any moment, "Uncle, what flavor of ice cream do you like?"

Fukuchi Sakura didn't understand, but still answered honestly, "I prefer drinking to ice cream. Do you like it? I can have someone make one for you."

"!!!"

"Uncle, you're a good person," the child said sincerely. He was willing to give his father ice cream even though he didn't want any.

What a kind person!

Having inexplicably received a "friend zone" card, Fukuchi Sakura smiled casually, completely unconcerned. "Then could you leave with Fyodor and give your father and me some space?"

“Hmm…” Xiao Luo turned to look at her father. Sigma nodded vigorously after a moment of silence and handed Xiao Luo over to Fyodor with worry.

Of all the officials who mingled with Fyodor, only Xiaoluo would consider him a genuinely good person. When Sigma saw Kamui, he realized he had been deceived, but he dared not speak up, much less confront them.

Little Luo tugged at Fyodor's sleeve, looking at Sigma's tense expression with some confusion, and moved towards the door, turning back every few steps.

The door closed behind them, and Xiao Luo suddenly stopped, looked up at Fyodor, and whispered, "Daddy, shall we go eavesdrop?"

"Have you noticed something's wrong?" Fyodor lowered his eyes. "I think you should focus on the ice cream you want first, okay?"

"Daddy, Xiao Luo really wants to eat ice cream with you too, but he is my dad after all. Do you think Uncle Dev might break his promise and eat ice cream behind Xiao Luo's back?" Xiao Luo only realized this possibility after going out, and she was very worried.

After a long silence, Fyodor smiled. "How annoying, I don't understand."
