Chapter 75
"Dad, please say something. I misunderstood you. I didn't expect you weren't an international fugitive, did I?"
On the plane, Fyodor looked weary, his eyes lowered as he flipped through the notebook in front of him. So, Sigma did come after all, even after Little Lori revealed he was an internationally wanted criminal.
When Fyodor heard that the little girl had mistaken him for a human trafficker, he was about to explain when the quick-tongued child blurted out that he was a criminal.
Hearing this, Sigma became even more frightened. Perhaps in the past he would have gritted his teeth and become a criminal because he longed for a place to belong, but now he had a daughter.
Fyodor was completely stunned. Wasn't this child a product of a book? How did he know so much about him? If he simply thought Fyodor was a human trafficker, he could still argue his case.
The problem now is that his identity has been exposed and Sigma is unwilling to associate with him because of the child. He could force Sigma to follow him, but if he did that, there would be no point in him taking Sigma with him.
After a long pause, Fyodor revealed the official identity of his cheap superior. The little girl suddenly realized, "I knew you were going to be locked up for life! How come you're suddenly out! So it's because you've gone straight to the good life, Dad!"
The reformed Fyodor closed his eyes; he was determined to find out what was going on with this child.
Completely baffled, Sigma pulled Little Laura aside and whispered in her ear.
“Dad, don’t worry.” Xiao Luo then told him about her theory of having seven fathers.
The child was very confident: "Daddy won't hurt me, Ice Cream, you have to believe in the bond between us!"
What the heck was ice cream? Sigma ultimately believed Lori. The main reason was that if he didn't go with Fyodor and the others, he'd have to stay here. Between the two lifestyles, Sigma knew which was better. If a sucker was willing to support them, why not take the chance?
Fyodor coldly watched the father and daughter whispering in each other's ears, having tricked them into doing evil deeds. Sigmar's psychological defenses would naturally crumble, and he would be used by Fyodor.
The key question is, what exactly is this child?
Fyodor closed his laptop, his expression weary as he squinted. "Little Luo, what exactly are you?"
She knew the answer to this question, and the little girl, who was once again questioned, proudly puffed out her chest and exclaimed, "Great stuff!"
“I can’t tell,” Fyodor said softly.
That's beyond the scope of the curriculum. Xiao Luo's expression was serious; that wasn't her answer at all.
"So what talents do you have?" Fyodor noticed Lori's confusion and changed the subject.
"Does eating and sleeping, and knowing to come home when it rains count?" Xiao Luo asked, her eyes wide as she leaned closer.
"...That's right, it's only because a normal person wouldn't be aware of it that you were able to discover it."
Fyodor closed his eyes, his frustration at the plan going out of control, and muttered a sarcastic remark.
An existence that cannot be traced in the world is either hidden by an organization or born in the same way as Sigma, but neither of these can explain why she knows him so well.
The child looked completely bewildered and couldn't get any information out of him. "Could you please go and keep Sigma company? After all, he's your father."
Fyodor gently pushed away Little Lori's head that was leaning towards him and smiled.
Xiao Luo thought for a moment and said, "Dad, are you unhappy? Why? You're my dad too."
“No,” Fyodor still couldn’t understand why Xiao Luo kept calling him Dad. In a sense, he was the one who created them, but Xiao Luo shouldn’t know that.
"I'm just wondering why I'm also your father. Doesn't Sigma look more like him?"
"Because you are my father, that's why I call you Dad. You are all my fathers." Xiao Luo couldn't explain how her father came to be.
Fyodor listened to the child's ramblings about "why" and "therefore," his scientific nonsense, and with a smile but without losing his composure, he led the child to Sigma's side.
"I think I understand. Please leave."
When the plane came to a stop, the little girl, holding Sigma's hand, watched Fyodor walk towards the empty casino, still not understanding.
"Dad, why is he angry?"
Sigma couldn't understand either. He whispered, "Maybe it's because you have another dad?"
"So, Dad is jealous?" Xiao Luo concluded.
"Jealous? Wow, do you guys know anything interesting about Fedia?"
Without warning, a sudden voice rang out from the side, startling Sigma. Gogol's cheerful voice came through, "Are you the people Fedia brought back? Why is there one more?"
The silver-haired youth emerged from the golden light with a smile, and with a flick of his cloak, he approached Sigma at almost zero distance.
Sigma took a step back in fear, trembling as he hugged Xiao Luo, "Who are you?"
"Hahaha," Gogol let out a piercing laugh, taking an excited step back to distance himself from them, his cloak billowing over half his face, concealing the ever-widening smile on his lips.
"Who is it?" he drawled, repeating slowly, then laughed and asked rhetorically, "Oh right! Who is Gogol? Question—who is Gogol?"
Upon hearing the other person reveal their name and then ask who they were, Sigma cautiously hugged the child. Was this guy out of his mind?
Gogol paid no attention to any of this; his smile widened, and he said to himself, "Gogol is of course the best magician and clown in the world, and will become the freest—bird!"
Sigma looked confused, but Xiao Luo calmly covered his ears. "Dad, don't listen. This is Uncle Guoguo's normal practice. Don't take it to heart, because he's just all talk."
"Oh? You're questioning the clown's resolve?" Gogol's eyes suddenly darkened upon hearing Xiaoluo's words, his emerald green pupils flashing with an almost cruel light.
Xiao Luo's eyes suddenly sharpened, and she said earnestly with a tense little face, "Uncle, take off your clothes to prove it!"
Gogol: ...
"There are some things I can't do right now," he said with a grin.
The child in front of me had two words in his eyes: "See?"
