The next day.
When Yan Kui woke up, her legs were trembling as she walked.
So I simply went back to bed and lay down.
Just as I was about to blame Wei Yin, I saw Wei Yin push the door open and come in from the outside, holding a glass of warm water in his hand.
He held the glass to Yan Kui's lips and helped her gulp down most of it.
Then he picked the person up and they touched noses. Wei Yin rubbed against him affectionately and asked, "Did you have fun at home yesterday?"
Yan Kui leaned against his chest and hummed in agreement: "I'm so happy. I watched variety shows all day. It was so refreshing."
"You ate snacks all day?"
Yan Kui straightened up and laughed, "You knew all about this!"
She then complained, "My legs are so sore! Why did you use so much force yesterday! I'm going to get angry next time!"
Upon hearing this, Wei Yin's anger subsided, and he reached out to gently massage her.
Seeing that Yan Kui wanted to sleep again, she gently reminded her, "Yan Kui, did you forget what you promised me?"
Yan Kui looked up: "What is it?"
Wei Yin stared at her for two minutes, and seeing that the person in his arms had completely forgotten, he said, "I was out socializing yesterday, and someone said they would call to check up on me, so I waited from six o'clock in the afternoon until after eleven o'clock at night."

“Being busy and answering your call are two different things. I can be busy, but I always have time to answer your call.”
Yan Kui coughed lightly, then decided to act coquettishly, her voice sweet and cloying: "I was afraid of disturbing your work. I missed you so much yesterday, really!"
Wei Yin ran his hand through her hair, raising an eyebrow: "Was that while you were eating snacks? Or while watching variety shows?"
"I want both!"
Wei Yin sighed helplessly, raised his hand and pinched Yan Kui's chin, and said seriously, "Yan Kui, when are you going to get rid of this habit?"

Yan Kui replied with "Received," and seeing Wei Yin come out in a suit, she said, "Brother Yin, I'm going back to school next week, my thesis defense is coming up soon."
Wei Yin sat down next to her and replied, "Okay, I'm going to the US next week. I'll pick you up when I'm done."
"Does that mean we'll have to be in a long-distance relationship? That's so painful."
Yan Kui's expression was exaggerated, clearly an act, but Wei Yin found it incredibly cute, and he loved hearing the words coming from that little mouth.
Wei Yin chuckled: "You only have one day for your defense. You can come to the US to find me after you're done."
