Chapter 22 My Handsome Neighbor Burns Paper Money for Me

Chapter 22 My Handsome Neighbor Burns Paper Money for Me

Wei Yin stopped thinking about these things and got up to water the vegetable seedlings in the yard.

As the sky darkened, I remembered the paper money that Huang Maomao had bought during the day.

He found a lighter in the room, squatted in the corner of the courtyard wall, and started burning.

As he burned it, he muttered, "Don't come looking for me. Go find whoever you have a grudge against. We're really not compatible..."

Yan Kui came out of the house, intending to sit in the yard and breathe some fresh air, but found thick black smoke rising from a corner on the other side of the yard wall.

Approaching quietly, I discovered that they seemed to be burning paper money, and I could occasionally hear men talking intermittently.

Yan Kui thought, it might be the anniversary of someone's death in his family...

I silently said to myself: My condolences.

Then I went back to my room.

Wei Yin sat down on a small stool and burned all the paper money that Huang Maomao had bought before returning to the house.

She had just taken a shower and lay down in bed when she noticed the bathroom light was on again in the opposite bathroom. Under the light, she was standing there fiddling with her hair, and the silhouette of a young girl was reflected on the foggy glass.

A faint, lingering scent of jasmine drifted into Wei Yin's nostrils.

The frosted glass bathroom was shrouded in misty steam, with occasional glistening water droplets trickling down the glass, blurring the silhouettes swaying behind the window.

Wei Yin took a deep breath and quickly drew the curtains. As the young master of the Wei family, he had no penchant for spying on women.

Yan Kui used up the last bit of shower gel that Yan Sheng had left at home, dried herself off, changed into clean clothes, and began to examine the old-fashioned wet and dry separation washing machine in front of her.

My phone has no signal and I can't check the instructions.

Looking at the few dirty clothes I had changed out of, I thought I should ask Aunt Song for advice tomorrow.

I dried my hair and lay down on the bed. A second before falling asleep, I thought, "The countryside is actually quite nice."

At least... I can go to bed early and wake up early...

As expected, Yan Kui had another dream.

In my dream, it was still that man.

But today his eyes looked a little strange, and Yan Kui couldn't control herself and slowly walked over.

The man, however, frowned as he looked at her.

Yan Kui wanted to speak, to ask what was going on with this person, but she couldn't make a sound.

When those wet eyes looked at him, the man started moving again.

Wei Yin had intended to ask if he hadn't burned enough paper money, but then the image appeared in his dream again.

But he couldn't speak either.

The woman's eyes were large, with clear black and white, and long, thick eyelashes. When she blinked, they looked like butterflies fluttering their wings, carrying a touch of innocent naivety.

Wei Yin noticed that her gaze swept over him almost imperceptibly, like a feather gently brushing past before quickly gliding away.

When I couldn't help but meet her gaze, she slowly looked back at me, her eyes as deep as a pool, revealing no emotion. Her eyelids were half-closed, and her eyelashes cast a faint shadow under her eyes, as if concealing something, or perhaps inviting me.

Wei Yin couldn't resist and put his arm around the woman who was walking towards him, breathing in the jasmine scent emanating from her.

In the dream, it was like a pure white soft bed, and neither of them could control their inner desires.

The movements were sometimes gentle and sometimes rough.

…………

"Beep beep beep..."

My phone alarm went off.

Yan Kui sat up abruptly, clutching her chest. Looking at her clothes, which were still intact, she breathed a sigh of relief.

Feeling utterly weak, as if she were about to collapse, she secretly cursed the man in her dream for not showing any tenderness towards women!

He suddenly collapsed onto the bed, shouting, "What on earth is going on?!"

I thought to myself: Am I really that desperate for a man? Why do I keep dreaming about the same person?! And it's so tiring...

Wei Yin on the other side.

Sitting on the bed, I stared at my messy pajama bottoms with a dark expression, feeling so annoyed I wanted to swear.
