Chapter 28 Cover your ears
When he finally realized what was happening, Wen Song belatedly discovered something.
Why should we move backward?
Let's not even talk about the fact that he and Zhao Mingzhuo did nothing.
Just because the other person is his boyfriend doesn't mean he should feel guilty because of Guan Ju's appearance.
Regardless of the reason, Wen Song felt somewhat tired.
Navigating between two Alphas requires a true test of morality. Sometimes, you really have to admire people who can juggle multiple relationships without getting caught, handling their relationships with ease.
Wen Song remained calm.
I simply feel that my moral bottom line is being tortured time and time again.
When he looked up again to look at Guan Ju, he found that she had already left and was nowhere to be seen behind the green plants around the corner.
“I’m a Beta,” Wen Song said to Zhao Mingzhuo, turning her gaze away. “My pheromones will naturally disappear quickly.”
"Not to mention that Guan Ju only helped me cut off a tag."
Zhao Mingzhuo straightened up and nodded slightly, "It's good that I didn't bully you."
Wen Song hadn't expected that the other person's first reaction would be to worry that he would be bullied by Guan Ju. His heart seemed to be touched, and he asked, "Why do you think he would bully me?"
Zhao Mingzhuo's lips moved, but he swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue.
"He has a bad temper and I'm worried he might hurt you."
Wen Song thought about it carefully.
Was Guan Ju bad-tempered?
The other party is known in the circle for their bad temper. Almost no one dares to provoke them. They are sharp-tongued and cunning. They never show any mercy even to Omegas. Anyone who provokes them will be punished.
It seems... that's indeed the case.
“I didn’t provoke him,” Wen Song said, his eyelids drooping. “He’s not so unreasonable.”
Zhao Mingzhuo stared intently at the face of the person in front of him, as if looking at another person through it, until he saw the cool mole on the tip of the nose before he came back to his senses.
"Um."
"He is certainly not unreasonable."
The two walked further and further away, until they could barely hear the lively sounds coming from the front courtyard.
At first, you could still encounter one or two couples taking a walk, but now the area is quiet.
"Are we going back?" Wen Song asked.
Zhao Mingzhuo raised his hand and glanced at his watch. "Let's go back."
They turned back home.
Seemingly realizing he'd forgotten something important, Zhao Mingzhuo said, "About the contract—"
Wen Song waited quietly for the other party to continue.
But after more than ten seconds, he still showed no sign of continuing to speak.
"Never mind," Zhao Mingzhuo said, unable to make a decision right now, pressing his temples. "I'll talk to you about it later."
Wen Song had no idea why Zhao Mingzhuo had brought up the two agreements and contracts tonight.
For a moment, I couldn't figure out what the other person was thinking.
"Okay," he could only nod in reply.
On the way back, the two chatted briefly about interesting things that had happened in Suicheng recently. Zhao Mingzhuo, who initially looked tired and had a flushed face, seemed to have been effectively comforted and gradually became more energetic.
The noisy, sweltering metal music returned to their ears.
Wen Song took out an inhibitor from his pocket and handed it to Zhao Mingzhuo.
"You are still in your susceptible period, so I suggest you take an inhibitor and avoid overexertion."
I picked up this inhibitor on my way out of the room.
It was originally intended for Guan Ju.
Because the other person looked like they were about to "go into heat".
If the desire cannot be relieved, only an inhibitor can slightly reduce the activity of pheromones that cause Alpha restlessness.
Zhao Mingzhuo took the inhibitor and said, "Xiao Song, you are so thoughtful."
They probably knew he was in a vulnerable period, so they carried suppressants with them.
None of the Omegas he had ever met before had ever been so considerate; they wouldn't even do the simplest things like cooking noodles, making tea, or massaging his temples.
Compared to Wen Song now, she's nowhere near as good.
Sometimes Zhao Mingzhuo couldn't help but sigh, including this time, when he said, "If only you were an Omega."
Wen Song had heard these words no less than ten times, and from the initial indifference to the current numbness, he had never paid any attention to them.
Omega is indeed very good.
But his background and experiences told him that if he were truly an Omega, he would become unhappy.
"I'm leaving first," Zhao Mingzhuo said. He knew that Wen Song never liked noisy environments, and since she had recently fallen into the water after a conflict with someone, her appearance now would definitely make her the center of attention. "If you're bored, you can go back to your room and sleep."
"Tomorrow is the weekend, so you don't need to go home tonight."
Wen Song said, "I want to travel around and see how things go."
Just then, someone called out to Zhao Mingzhuo. Hearing what Wen Song said, he didn't insist anymore, stuffed the inhibitor into his pocket, and left.
After everyone left.
Wen Song stood there for several seconds before taking a step towards the villa.
Pool parties are boring.
The excitement never awakened his inner passion, but rather the loneliness he had kept hidden for so many years.
Because Wen Song had no friends in Suicheng.
There are acquaintances who only nod to each other.
But I don't have a single close friend.
As they walked, Wen Song arrived at another backyard of the villa.
There is a lake here. If you cross the stone bridge, there is a pavilion in the middle of the lake, with beaded curtains hanging on all four sides to cover the view inside.
Just as she was about to walk over and get some fresh air, a hand suddenly pulled Wen Song into the nearby grove of trees.
"who---"
Before she could make a sound, her mouth was covered by a warm hand.
Back against a strong, firm chest, it felt as if someone was pulling him into an embrace, and the agave pheromones entered Wen Song's nostrils.
His initial struggle subsided once he realized who was behind him and that they wouldn't hurt him.
Guan Ju noticed that the Beta in her arms went from struggling at the beginning to giving up. Her eyebrows twitched slightly, and she gently smelled a trace of other Alpha cedar pheromones on the other person. Her lips drooped down, and her mood instantly turned sour.
"Shh." He whispered in Wen Song's ear.
"Don't make a sound."
Wen Song had no idea why Guan Ju was there or what she was up to.
Ignoring the tickling sensation in his ears, he nodded in response to the other person's words, promising not to make a sound.
Finally, Guan Ju withdrew his hand from his hand.
Wen Song took a deep breath.
Although Alpha's grip strength isn't great, he's had difficulty breathing since childhood, so being suffocated for a while makes him quite uncomfortable.
"what are you doing here?"
After regaining his composure, he turned to the side, creating distance between himself and Guan Sui, and asked in a low, whispered voice.
The two were in a relatively secluded location.
They were surrounded by trees, and from their perspective, they could clearly see the scene under the streetlights.
"Let's smoke," Guan Ju said casually.
Wen Song: ""
If he's going to smoke, why bring him here?
Before I could ask what was going on, I heard Guan Ju say, slowly and deliberately, "Cover your ears."
Wen Song didn't understand why she had to cover her ears, and her reaction was a beat too slow. The next second, she heard an ambiguous sound coming from the grove in front of her.
