My Alpha
On the day of the operation, it rained heavily.
Si Qi stood on a tall building across from the institute, observing the entrance to the underground database through a telescope. Shao Wei stood beside him, dressed in black combat uniform, a miniature jammer taped to the back of his neck—a device that could temporarily block the institute's glandular scanning system.
"Remember, only take the data, no killing." A3's voice came from the headset. "Once the alarm is triggered, we only have seven minutes to evacuate."
Shao Wei adjusted his gloves. "What if the data is encrypted?"
"Then it's up to you, A7." A9 chuckled. "Your glandular fluctuations can break the biological lock."
Si Qi pinched Shao Wei's fingers and said, "Follow me closely."
On the third underground floor, in front of the biometric door of the database center.
Shao Wei placed his palm on the scanning screen, deliberately releasing a trace of pheromones. The screen flashed twice, displaying "Authorization approved."
"Sure enough." A12 whispered, "They haven't deleted the high-level permissions of the experimental subject yet."
Si Qi quickly inserted the data disk and began downloading. When the progress bar slowly climbed to 45%, the entire corridor suddenly flashed red.
"Warning! Unauthorized access!"
"We've been discovered!" A3 shouted sharply, "How many are left?"
"62%!" Si Qi stared at the screen, "It will take at least two more minutes—"
Before he finished speaking, the sound of orderly footsteps was heard from the end of the corridor.
A fully armed security team.
Shao Wei suddenly pushed Si Qi away: "Continue downloading!" He walked towards the gun, hands raised, "I am A7."
The leader's pupils suddenly shrank, and he raised his right hand to signal a ceasefire: "...living specimen?"
"Yes." Shao Wei's pheromones spread like a tide. "The glandular regenerator you're looking for."
The security guards' eyes began to blur - Alpha pheromone manipulation, this was an instinctive skill implanted in the experimental subjects.
"Put down your weapons." Shao Wei ordered softly.
The sound of metal falling to the ground rang out one after another.
Si Qi took the opportunity to pull out the data disk: "100%, retreat!"
Heavy rain was pouring down on the rooftop helipad.
When A3 activated his stealth aircraft, a sniper bullet suddenly pierced his shoulder.
"There's an ambush!" A9 dragged the wounded man and rolled over to avoid it.
Shao Wei followed the trajectory of the bullet and saw a cold light flash across the building opposite - it was Shao's second uncle's private sniper.
Si Qi immediately drew his pistol and fired three bursts of fire, shattering the opponent's sniper scope. Taking advantage of this gap, A12 pushed everyone into the aircraft.
The moment the hatch closed, Shao Wei saw his second uncle standing in the rain, holding up the terminal and saying something.
The next second, he felt a sharp pain in his glands.
"ah--!"
The jammer failed. The remote activation code from the research institute came through Second Uncle's terminal, directly stimulating his glands to enter a forced dormant state.
Si Qi caught the limp Shao Wei and roared, "Medical kit! Quick!"
A9 ripped open Shao Wei's collar and gasped, "They're using the original instructions to restart his experimental program! We must block the signal immediately!"
Si Qi took out a data disk and inserted it into the aircraft's mainframe: "Find the code! Quick!"
The screen scrolled frantically, finally stopping at a line of red instructions—
[Final Stage Activation: A7 Gland Evolution Program]
"What evolutionary process?" A3 asked, covering his wound.
Si Qi's face turned pale. "They're not trying to cure the test subjects... They're trying to create a super Alpha army."
When the aircraft landed at the dark web safe house, Shao Wei had already fallen into a coma due to high fever.
Si Qi laid him flat on the medical bed, and A9 quickly connected him to the life monitor.
"Gland temperature is 42 degrees and rising!"
"Inject suppressants!"
"It's no use! His body is rejecting it!"
Si Qi suddenly pulled open Shao Wei's collar, lowered his head and bit his gland.
"Are you crazy?" A12 pulled him. "Marking now will exacerbate the pheromone rampage!"
"It's not a mark." Si Qi's voice was hoarse, "It's an override instruction."
His canines pierced the skin, mixing his pheromones with a special frequency - the administrator code he had stolen from his father's safe.
The numbers on the monitor began to fluctuate violently, and finally stabilized after a shrill alarm.
Shao Wei's eyelashes trembled a few times and he slowly opened his eyes.
Si Qi smiled with blood on his mouth: "Welcome back."
Late at night, in the basement of the safe house.
Si Qi played the communication records intercepted by his second uncle's terminal.
"Recover A7 at all costs. His glands are the key to activating the 'Final Legion'." - A female voice that has been processed with a voice changer.
A3 stood up suddenly: "It's Professor Mo! The person in charge of the experiment back then!"
"She's still alive?" A9's face turned pale. "The explosion fifteen years ago clearly—"
"Obviously someone helped her fake her death." Si Qi turned off the recording. "The question now is, why did Shao's second uncle listen to her orders?"
Shao Wei suddenly spoke up, "For profit." He pulled up an encrypted ledger. "Over the past ten years, the shell company under my second uncle's name has received huge remittances from Crescent Technology, and Crescent Technology's controlling shareholder..."
The screen showed a blurry old photo: Professor Mo as a young man standing next to the old man of the Shao family, holding a baby in his arms.
"Is she from the Shao family?" A12 was shocked.
"No." Shao Wei tapped the photo to enlarge the number on the baby's swaddling clothes. "A0," he said. "She is the first successful case of the experiment."
The basement fell into silence.
Si Qi held Shao Wei's hand tightly: "So what we are facing is not only the research institute, but also the first generation of evolved experimental subjects."
Shao Wei looked out the window at the gradually brightening sky: "And the 'Final Legion' she cultivated."
Shao Wei's dream was pure white.
He stood in an endless laboratory corridor, with incubation chambers lined up on both sides. Inside each chamber floated a sleeping Alpha—their numbers were branded on the back of their necks: A1, A4, A5, A6…
"This is the final legion."
A woman's voice came from behind. Shao Wei turned and saw Professor Mo standing at the intersection of light and shadow. She looked no more than thirty years old, but there was no number on her neck.
"You're not dreaming," Shao Wei said calmly. "This is a spiritual space created by glandular resonance."
Professor Mo smiled. "Clever, worthy of being the only A7 to evolve on its own." She raised her hand and gently touched the nearest incubator. "The explosion fifteen years ago taught me that forced evolution only produces defective products."
The Alpha in the cabin suddenly opened his eyes—his irises were an unnatural silver-gray.
"So this time, I'll let you awaken 'voluntarily'."
In the real world, the safe house medical room.
Shao Wei was awakened by the sharp alarm of the monitor, cold sweat soaking his back.
"Having a nightmare again?" Si Qi immediately put down the terminal and placed his palm against his forehead. "Your temperature is normal."
"It's not a dream." Shao Wei grabbed his wrist. "Professor Mo is using glandular resonance to connect all the test subjects. She's preparing to activate the final legion."
Si Qi's expression suddenly changed as he pulled up a satellite feed. "Twenty minutes ago, the Shao family's private medical center connected to a military-grade pheromone transmission device." The footage zoomed in, revealing the entrance to an underground facility. "According to thermal scans, there are at least thirty Alphas with abnormal vital signs inside."
A3 leaned over to look at the screen: "She's mass-producing Super Alphas?"
"No." Shao Wei propped himself up and sat up. "She is waking up the sleeping experimental subject."
He pointed to the edge of the surveillance camera - a woman in a white coat was injecting an injection into the back of an Alpha's neck.
"That's a glandular catalyst." Shao Wei's fingertips trembled slightly. "The seven of us survived because we had trace amounts of it in our bodies. Now she's planning to use a higher concentration..."
"Force ordinary Alphas to evolve," Si Qi continued, his eyes dark. "An army of pheromone manipulators."
Late at night, Shao Wei stood alone on the rooftop of the safe house.
A cold breeze brushed across the bite marks on his glands, causing a slight sting. Ever since Siqi had blocked his control with the administrator code, his glands' sensitivity had tripled, and now he could even sense the movement of air.
Familiar footsteps were heard behind me.
"You should rest." Si Qi put his coat on his shoulders. "A9 just deciphered some of Professor Mo's data. What she needs is not the army, but..."
"The key," Shao Wei whispered. "My glands are the key to activating the final legion."
Si Qi was silent for a moment: "How do you know?"
"I saw it during the resonance." Shao Wei turned around, his irises shimmering a faint silver in the moonlight. "All the test subjects' glands were missing a core gene sequence. Only mine was completed during regeneration."
He took Siqi's hand and placed it on the back of his neck. "Professor Mo needs this gene to stabilize the glands of the Legionnaires."
The skin beneath his palms felt hot, and Si Qi suddenly understood: "So she let you escape for fifteen years, waiting for the glands to repair themselves?"
Shao Wei nodded: "Now, I am mature."
This cold biological statement made Si Qi's chest tighten. He pressed Shao Wei into his arms, rubbing his canines threateningly against the burning gland. "You are mine. No one else can touch you."
Shao Wei was quiet in his arms for a few seconds, then suddenly said, "We have to take the initiative."
The action plan was finalized before dawn.
A3 contacted a hacker group in the dark web and prepared to paralyze military communications; A9 and A12 were responsible for creating a diversion to distract the Shao family security; Si Qi called on an EMP weapon provided by an "old friend".
"One last question." A12 pointed at the facility diagram. "Even if we blow up the catalyst depot, Professor Mo and Second Uncle can still rebuild it. Unless..."
"Unless the original sample is destroyed," Shao Wei said calmly, "that means me."
Si Qi suddenly grabbed the back of his neck and said, "Don't even think about it."
"It's not true death." Shao Wei grasped his wrist. "Professor Mo's database contains my gland scan records. All he needs to do is upload a fake 'gland self-destruct' signal..."
A9 suddenly realized, "She'll think the key is broken, and the entire Legion plan will have to be suspended!"
"The risk is too great," Si Qi objected coldly. "What if she finds out it's fake and sends someone to arrest you?"
Shao Wei looked him straight in the eye: "That's why I need your help."
He pulled up a genetic map. "The administrator code not only blocks control but also rewrites the gland's instructions." Pointing to a red sequence, he said, "This changes it to self-destruct mode, but retains its functionality."
Si Qi stared at the diagram for a long time, and finally gritted his teeth and said, "If anything goes wrong, I will stop immediately."
On the day of action, heavy rain came again.
Shao Wei stood alone at the main entrance of the medical center, allowing the scanning beam to cover his entire body.
"Identity confirmed: A7"
The moment the electronic door slid open, twenty guns were pointed at him at the same time.
Professor Mo stepped out from the shadows, her silver-gray pupils glowing in the darkness. "I knew you'd come." She reached out and stroked Shao Wei's face. "Good boy, you're finally home."
Shao Wei didn't hide: "Let the others go, I'll volunteer to be the key."
"Of course." She smiled and high-fived, and the gate at the back rose - thirty Alphas with lifeless eyes lined up in an orderly manner, with fresh numbered brands flashing on the back of their necks.
"Look, your brothers." Professor Mo took his hand and pressed it on the console. "Now, let's complete the evolution."
Shao Wei looked at the control screen, which displayed "Gene transcription ready." He slowly pressed his palm, releasing a special frequency of pheromone at the same time.
Si Qi taught him the fake signal.
When the progress bar reached 50%, Professor Mo suddenly grabbed the back of his neck and said, "That's not right." Her nails pierced the gland. "You're lying to me."
The severe pain made Shao Wei fall to his knees, but the console displayed "Transcription completed".
"You think you can stop the Legion this way?" Professor Mo sneered and suddenly pressed a hidden button. "Luckily, I prepared a backup plan."
All the incubators opened at the same time, and thirty Alphas collectively turned to Shao Wei, his figure reflected in their silver-gray eyes.
"Kill this traitor," Professor Mo ordered. "Extract his glands."
At the critical moment, the lights in the entire facility suddenly went out.
The EMP bomb took effect.
In the darkness, Shao Wei felt someone grab his arm and say, "Go!"
This is the period.
They stumbled into the ventilation duct, behind them came Professor Mo's angry screams and the roar of the Legion Alpha.
"Was the transcription successful?" Si Qi asked during the crawling interval.
"It worked, but she has a backup plan!" Shao Wei panted, "Those Alphas have been activated, and now—"
The pipe suddenly vibrated violently, something heavy hitting the metal wall.
"They're catching up!" Siqi climbed faster. "The exit is just ahead, turn left!"
Just as the two were about to reach the exit, the entire pipe suddenly collapsed!
Si Qi used his body to protect Shao Wei, his back slamming hard against the steel frame. In the moonlight, they saw an Alpha standing below—
Silver-gray pupils, and the "A0" brand on the neck.
Professor Mo's true form.
"You think you can win by rewriting the instructions?" She threw her head back and laughed, "I've already backed up the core genes in my own glands!"
Si Qi suddenly raised his gun: "Really? What about this?"
He pulled the trigger and the bullet hit the gland at the back of her neck accurately.
Professor Mo's expression froze. Trembling, she touched her neck, her fingertips stained with silvery blood. "Impossible... How could an ordinary bullet...?"
"I added your catalyst." Si Qi sneered, "How does it taste?"
A0's pupils contracted violently, and her skin began to crack unnaturally. She screamed and rushed towards Legion Alpha, but saw the soldiers collectively take a step back.
"It seems they don't like keys that are out of control." Shao Wei said softly.
The next second, thirty pairs of hands simultaneously tore the former creator to pieces.
Abandoned pier at dawn.
A3 looked at the burning medical center: "Where are the Legionnaires?"
"After the catalyst lost its power, they regained their sanity." Shao Wei looked toward the horizon. "The Dark Web will house them."
Si Qi walked over and handed a chip to A9: "Professor Mo's complete research data, including how to reverse glandular transformation."
"Where are you going next?" A12 asked.
Si Qi put his arm around Shao Wei's shoulders and said, "It's very far away."
When the aircraft took off, Shao Wei saw the rising sun through the porthole.
"Truth," he said suddenly. "Where are we going?"
Si Qi kissed the bite mark on the back of his neck and said, "Go home."
