After returning to the bustling and familiar place where humans were active, Xia Zhitang took a comfortable bath and slept soundly for two days before he recovered.

Although the filming budget was still sufficient and they could continue filming in Tibet for a while, Lin Jingming had already begun to prepare the framework and preliminary text of the film.

The two planned to return to Taipei to organize and classify the materials in front of them, and then decide the direction of the next shooting.

Before Xia Zhitang's return time was set, Gu Zian had already flown over.

He pulled Xia Zhitang straight into the room. Doji, who happened to be looking for Lin Jingming, smiled at them ambiguously, and Xia Zhitang's ears turned red.

Gu Zian pressed the person behind the door and kissed him while groping at the zipper.

The clothes stretched all the way from the door to the bed: "Let me check."

Gu Zian held Xia Zhitang's wrists and lifted them above his head.

"You've been in the wilderness for more than ten days. Are you injured?"

Gu Zian examined him from his neck to his feet. Xia Zhitang felt like a fish that was thrown onto the shore, longing to return to the waves and swim freely.

"I'm not hurt." Her voice was filled with a hint of unbearable tears. "Hurry up."

"Sister, what do you want?" Gu Zian pressed down and bit Xia Zhitang's earlobe with his fangs.

"I miss you so much." Xia Zhitang panted and kissed Gu Zian's Adam's apple.

"What do you miss about me?" Gu Zian gently stroked the back of Xia Zhitang's neck with his fingertips, unwilling to satisfy her easily.

"I miss your voice, your warmth, and your smell." Her toes gently stroked Gu Zian's instep.

Gu Zian chuckled and let go of Xia Zhitang, lying alone on the bed in her astonished gaze.

"If you want something, come and get it yourself." He was determined to force Xia Zhitang to take the initiative.

"Don't you miss me?" Xia Zhitang approached dissatisfiedly, "It's been a month!"

"I do." Gu Zian pushed away Xia Zhitang's lips, "But I'm not happy."

Gu Zian panted as he hugged Xia Zhitang, who was too tired to move, and tried hard to suppress the corners of his mouth that turned up: "After a month of survival in the wild, sister's physical strength has improved a lot!"

"Are you satisfied?" Xia Zhitang felt like a fish that was forced to swim across the entire Atlantic Ocean, and just wanted to find a shallow beach to lie down and bask in the sun.

"It would be better if the squat frequency was faster." Gu Zian said meaningfully, "How about I sign you up for a belly dancing or pole dancing class?"

"Gu Zian!" Xia Zhitang clenched his fist and hit him.

Gu Zian smiled, held her fist and kissed the back of her hand.

The two of them stayed in the room for a long time before going downstairs to find something to eat.

Doji received the second installment of the warm guide fee plus the bonus for saving the wolf, and was trying to please Xia Zhitang.

Seeing them coming downstairs, he enthusiastically introduced the local specialties to Gu Zian.

While eating, Gu Zian listened to Doji talk about some interesting things that happened during their filming. He was very interested and asked some questions from time to time.

Although he had reminded Duoduoji to keep the secret of her beating the wolf, Xia Zhitang was still very worried that he would let the secret slip.

"Are you here to see Director Lin today?" She tried to change the subject.

"Yes, Director Lin paid me for saving the wolf cub!" Doji happily patted the envelope full of cash in his pocket.

"Save the wolf cubs? Did you encounter wolves?" Gu Zian put down his chopsticks.

"Yes, Miss Xia is kind-hearted and saved a lost wolf cub." Duoji unconsciously praised Xia Zhitang, "You are really brave!"

"There's only one wolf cub, and everyone is safe." Xia Zhitang was eager to end the topic. "Have you eaten? I'll take you to see the filming footage. It's very exciting."

"I want to hear Mr. Duoji talk about the wild wolf." Gu Zian pulled Xia Zhitang, who was about to stand up, "It's very exciting."

Doji was dazzled by Gu Zian's smile and began to talk incessantly.

Xia Zhitang felt a little uneasy.

Gu Zian put his arm around Xia Zhitang's waist and said, "Sister, your life is more exciting than filming a movie."

"Isn't it? Movies don't even dare to show women beating up wolves. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it!"

Duoji didn't notice the change in their expressions. You was immersed in the overwhelming desire to talk: "Such a big wolf, Miss Xia rushed up and beat it up!"

"Beat the wolf?" Gu Zian turned to look at Xia Zhitang with a serious expression, "Why didn't you mention it to me?"

Doji suddenly thought of Xia Zhitang's instructions, and he felt like a duck with its throat pinched. His excited words were stuck in his throat, and he looked at the two of them awkwardly.

"Something happened at home, I'm leaving first." He smiled awkwardly and quickly fled the scene where the atmosphere was obviously wrong.

Xia Zhitang forced a smile under Gu Zian's pressing gaze: "I was planning to tell you later, can you go back to your room first?"

"How are you going to trick me?" Gu Zian laughed angrily, "Sister, you're amazing. You call me every day and never mention encountering a wolf?"

"I was planning to take you to watch the live video first." Xia Zhitang didn't want to argue outside, so he pulled Gu Zian back to the room.

"Where's the live video?" Gu Zian pressed Xia Zhitang against the wall as soon as he closed the door. "How much more have you been hiding from me?"

"Do you want to listen to my explanation first, or watch the video?" Xia Zhitang said, "I was afraid you would worry, so I didn't dare tell you right away."

"Do you think I won't be angry?" Gu Zian pinched Xia Zhitang's chin and forced her to look up at him. "Sister, am I too nice to you?"

"I encountered a wolf in the salt lake, but I beat it away. On my way back, I met an injured and lost wolf cub and treated it." Xia Zhitang's hand quietly climbed onto Gu Zian's waist. "You've been filming a martial arts scene recently, and I'm worried that it will affect your mood."

"The truth?" Gu Zian stared into Xia Zhitang's eyes.

"Honestly." Xia Zhitang didn't avoid his gaze. "Didn't you check it? I'm really not injured."

She suddenly lowered her eyes and trembled her eyelashes: "How about checking you again?"

"Don't change the subject. Where did Lin Jingming go?" Gu Zian didn't accept Xia Zhitang's coquettish hint. "Are you two working together to hide this from me?"

"I've argued with him, and I know I was wrong. I shouldn't be so reckless next time."

"Look up at me!" Gu Zian still felt short of breath from the anger he was feeling. "Do you treat me like a child or an outsider?"

"I wasn't allowed to tell you. I wanted to tell you in person, but I didn't expect someone else to get there first." Xia Zhitang's bright eyes were full of innocence.

"You didn't lie to me?" Gu Zian stared at Xia Zhitang's expression carefully.

"The scabbard of the Tibetan knife you gave me was lost when I was beating the wild wolf." Xia Zhitang took the opportunity to report the matter.

"How did you beat him?" Gu Zian tightened his grip on Xia Zhitang's waist.

"Can you sit down and talk slowly?" Xia Zhitang took the opportunity to act coquettishly.

"Sister, you will act like a spoiled child when you feel guilty." Gu Zian carried her to the bed with a cold face.

"I was afraid you'd be angry." Xia Zhitang sat in Gu Zian's arms, looking like a teacher. "I didn't think too much about the scene at the time. I just acted on my intuition. Looking back, I'm really scared."

"Sister, I can't seem to do anything." Gu Zian hugged Xia Zhitang tightly, "It seems like I can never catch up with you."

"Zi'an, partners don't necessarily need to stick together all the time. We can have different hobbies and different pursuits." Xia Zhitang hugged Gu Zi'an and patted his back.

"But I can't accompany you to do what you want to do." Gu Zian was a little discouraged. He was a little jealous of the fact that Lin Jingming and Xia Zhitang were in sync.

"I hope you do what you like." Xia Zhitang looked up at Gu Zian's eyes, "Be yourself first."

Lin Jingming pushed open the door of Cheng Shubai's office: "Old Cheng, let's go drink tonight!"

"Tsk, you finally decided to come back?" Cheng Shubai put down the report. "Is fighting wolves in Tibet fun?"

"Exciting." Lin Jingming dragged a stool and sat across from Cheng Shubai. "I have to go back to continue filming in November. I'm looking for some small jobs."

"Oh, Old Lin is short of money?" Cheng Shubai seemed to have heard very fresh news. "That's not like you."

"I want to make documentaries in the future." Lin Jingming skillfully stole Cheng Shubai's cigar and smoked it. "I can't always ask you for investment. You don't run a charity."

"You still want to take her crazy?" Cheng Shubai squinted at Lin Jingming, "Why didn't I realize you were so love-brained?"

"It's not all because of her. I like it too." Lin Jingming blew out a smoke ring. "It's so fun to explore the world through the lens."

"I heard you encountered a wolf." Cheng Shubai grabbed Lin Jingming's wrist. "Don't die in front of the camera. It's not worth it."

"She saved me." Lin Jingming looked at the smoke rising from the tip of his cigar. "I've never seen such a strong woman. She flew towards me on a colorful cloud, carrying a tripod."

"Old Lin, don't get sucked in." Cheng Shubai kindly reminded him, "If she had the ability, she would even help a wounded wolf cub. You know, you were just attacked by a lone wolf. She saved you because she felt capable, not out of love."

"Old Cheng, if you were given another chance to choose, would you still marry Su Mingyue?" Lin Jingming asked Cheng Shubai.

"That's different. She and I are in love." Cheng Shubai let go of Lin Jingming's hand, took out a cigar and lit it.

"I asked her why she invested in you." He insisted on shattering Lin Jingming's fantasy. "Guess what she said? She said that as a producer, you are a very good investment target. Old Lin, she has no love for you."

"Old Cheng, no matter what her motivation is, I can't suppress my affection for her." Lin Jingming put out his cigar. "People can't control their emotions. If they could, what's the difference between us and machines?"

"What if she never responds?" Cheng Shubai looked at Lin Jingming. "She and Gu Zi'an are doing fine. Are you going to be stuck with her forever?"

"I'll work hard until I give up." Lin Jingming suddenly laughed, "I don't know when I'll give up. I only know that I still like you right now."

"Old Lin, what's the point of doing this?" Cheng Shubai sighed.

“I don’t do many things for real rewards. I just follow my inner voice.”
