Chapter 396: Investigating the Knights (Part 2)

"This is a frame-up! A naked frame-up!" Fording said loudly. He knew without thinking that it must be Barthilas who reported it. There were not many people who knew the secret between him and the orcs, but even if they knew

it, he could not punish him now. He had to control his anger first. Fording looked at Dathrohan and said, "Sayida, we have been friends for many years. You will not doubt me. Frankly speaking, I know who reported me. His behavior is an intentional offense to my authority in this land. His enthusiasm is admirable, but the result it caused us is very confusing."

Dathrohan put his hand on Fording's arm. Stabilize his emotions: "Tirio, I always trust your judgment. I have never questioned your authority, and I don't want to do that from now on. Under normal circumstances, I would not intervene in a matter like this, but specific events have been revealed, forcing me to observe any possible orc invasion critically."

Dathrohan looked around and looked at each consultant. Dathrohan leaned forward to look at the eyes of the consultants gathered here. "Recently, we have received reports that a new upstart chief has emerged among the orcs. Obviously, this young orc is eager to regroup the tribes and form a tribe again. Although they are few in number, his fanatical warriors have been rampaging through many guarded protection areas in some way, and seem to be gathering stronger numbers. The top leaders of the Alliance believe that we are now in an emergency. I tell you all this to make you understand my motives. If there is any truth in the informant's assertion, then it is absolutely necessary for us to prepare for war."

The consultants looked at each other and began to argue with each other. Dathrohan looked at Fording again. Fording Fording would know what to say immediately.

"At dawn tomorrow, we will set out to clean the forest and more reliably confirm the orcs' actions. Tirion, I want you to lead us personally to the place where you met the orcs. If the creature is found, we will take him back to Stratholme for interrogation,"

Sure enough, Dathrohan gave the order to Fording. Fording now has no other choice. Even if he doesn't lead the way, there will be Barthilas, who also knows the approximate location. With so many people, they will eventually find him, and this guy will bring a greater threat to his orc friends. It is better for Fording to go by himself, even if he is forced to betray his oath with the orcs, but there will be a chance to help him.

After the great lord gave the order, Fording stood up and saw Barthilas's triumphant expression. Fording wanted to kill this smiling guy. When he walked past him, Fording snorted coldly and never looked at him again. Fording left and regretted why he brought this guy with him when he first met the orcs, and why he didn't discover the true side of this guy earlier.

Fording didn't know that Vashj was able to win Barthilas because of Fording himself. After following Fording for so many years, Barthilas was still just an ordinary paladin. He was severely reprimanded by Fording because of the orcs. In the end, Barthilas, who felt that his future was hopeless, chose a new master.

When the first rays of sunlight shone on the land in the early morning, the knights began to set out. Fording and several other knights led the way in front, and Barthilas hid behind Dathrohan and the others in fear.

Fording was yawning and in a terrible mood. He had only slept a little at night, and when he woke up he felt very uncomfortable. He hoped that he could use some method to warn the old orc, so that the old orc could escape capture. But Tirio knew that even if he could warn the orc, his actions would betray the direct orders of his superiors. He knew that there was no way to maintain his oath and do his duty at the same time. His precious honor was facing great danger. What's more, there were people watching them.

The group walked in the mountains for several hours. Fording knew exactly where they were going. After a while, the remaining walls of the damaged tower could be seen through the trees. Dathrohan leaned forward and asked Fording if that was the tower they were looking for.

"That's where I first encountered the orcs, my lord," Fording answered without any fluctuation.

Dathrohan nodded. Fording's answer was not a problem, but Fording's face was full of worry: "Are you sure, Tirion? You looked very worried this morning."

"Oh, I'm fine, I just didn't sleep well yesterday."

Dathrohan patted his shoulder comfortingly. Then the high lord signaled his men to take up positions along the road. The well-equipped soldiers he brought came to the front of the entire team. Fording's knights were all withdrawn to the rear. A captain of Dathrohan came over and signaled to Fording that he needed to go to the rear, but the paladin didn't seem to want to go at all. As soon as he turned around, Fording found that two guards were pulling a temporary prisoner cart from behind them. The swaying cage was designed to transport a small number of prisoners over long distances. He strongly hoped that the thing would remain empty.

After a while, Dathrohan's soldiers came back to report that they did not find a large number of orcs here, so Dathrohan decided to use a small group to sneak in.

"My lord, please let me do it!" Barthilas took the initiative to ask for mercy, and Dathrohan agreed to his request. The paladin led six infantrymen and moved forward cautiously. Speaking of which, Barthilas was also making preparations for both scenarios. Now that the great lord Dathrohan was here, he might be promoted one day if he showed up. What if the new master over there used him and then abandoned him?

The surrounding environment was very quiet, but the infantry moved very quietly, and even their heavy armor and weapons did not make any sound. The large army behind had quietly surrounded this place. Barthilas walked cautiously towards the entrance of the tower with a small hammer. Then he stopped a short distance from the entrance.

"We are here in the name of the alliance! You are surrounded! Come out quickly and surrender to us. If you surrender, we will not kill you, but you, these vile beasts, will not be able to escape death!" His voice was not good except for being loud, and it was even trembling a little, which was really embarrassing.

Fording looked at this guy coldly, with beads of sweat rolling down his face. Especially when he heard the noise of dragging footsteps coming from the ruined guardhouse of the tower.

"Someone is coming!"

Shine! Weapons were raised high, and the voices of the orcs slowly appeared under Fording's somewhat guilty expression.
