The captain was a little surprised to hear that Yun Yan and Yang Qian were leaving the Red Flag Brigade so soon.
"Yun Zhiqing, Yang Zhiqing, why are you leaving so soon?" asked the deputy captain.
"I plan to go there in advance to see if there are any houses for sale near the school. After all, I may settle down in Guangzhou in the future, and having my own house will make me feel more secure." Yun Yan said casually.
"I'm from Guangzhou and I'm very familiar with it. I'm going with Yunyan this time and can also help lead the way for her," Yang Qian continued.
After hearing what the two of them said, the team leader also felt that it made sense. After all, they had already been admitted to university and would leave the Red Flag Team sooner or later.
"Here are your letters of introduction. Keep them! Come back to the brigade when you have time." The brigade leader handed them the letters of introduction and said with a smile.
"Don't worry, Captain, I will come back to see you when I have time." Yun Yan said.
Yun Yan wasn't just saying this to the captain; she would definitely return to the Red Flag Brigade if she had the chance. After all, Xinyi was still here. She was sixteen years old and in her first year of high school. In two years, she'd be able to take the college entrance exam.
With her current grades, it will be no problem for her to get into a prestigious university, and her own company should be on track after she graduates from university.
Yunyan left the address of Zhongji University to the team leader and told him to forward the letter if he received one.
The ten-year period between her and Lu Jiahao has not yet expired. Although she really wants the photo of the whole country turning red, she will never go back on her word.
Then Yun Yan and Yang Qian went to see Xin Yi and told her that they were about to leave the Red Flag Brigade.
Xinyi held their hands reluctantly, and Yang Qian held her in her arms to comfort her.
When she left, Yunyan gave her address in Guangzhou to Xinyi, asking her to write to her if she had any questions, and to visit her in Guangzhou during holidays.
After leaving Xinyi's house, the two of them went home to pack their things to avoid losing anything.
Yunyan went to find Uncle Yang and paid for his ox cart with two yuan. She had too many things and was afraid of arousing suspicion if she didn't pretend.
After making an appointment with Uncle Wang, Yun Yan returned home and gathered all the things that needed to be taken away by ox cart, intending to take them directly to the county town early the next morning.
As long as we get to the county town and put the things into the space when no one is paying attention, no one will suspect anything.
Yunyan sold the bicycle to Wang Fang at a low price, as she had no use for it at the moment. However, she and Wang Fang agreed that she would give the bicycle to her on the day she left the Red Flag Brigade.
The next morning, Uncle Wang came early and helped Yunyan load the things onto the oxcart. Yunyan took out the fried dumpling she had made and gave two to Uncle Wang.
Soon they arrived at the county town, and Yun Yan asked Uncle Wang to drop her off in a remote place. She told Uncle Wang that a truck-driving friend of hers would come to help with the luggage, so Uncle Wang could go back first.
Uncle Wang didn't doubt it. After unloading the things, he drove the ox cart back to the team. Yun Yan waited until he was far away, and then saw that there was no one around, so she quickly put the things into the space.
After strolling around the county town for a while, she rode her bicycle back to the Red Flag Brigade.
After returning home, she went to find Yang Qian to see if she had packed her things.
Yang Qian didn't have that many things, so she only needed to take her clothes and quilt.
In the next two days, Yunyan went to say goodbye to the aunts and sisters in the village, and told Hu Zi and others that she was leaving the Red Flag Brigade.
Looking at these young men who were almost as tall as herself, Yun Yan felt that time had flown by so quickly. She remembered that when she first came to the Red Flag Brigade, they were still little kids, and in the blink of an eye, they had grown so big.
I said a few words of farewell to them and told them to study hard and strive to get into university in the future.
The aunties and sisters-in-law in the village who were on good terms with Yunyan were reluctant to part with her. After being together for so long, they all treated Yunyan as their own child.
On the day of departure, Yun Yan and Yang Qian left the Hongqi Brigade on Uncle Wang's ox cart. When they arrived at the village entrance, the brigade leader gave Yun Yan an envelope and asked her to read it after getting on the train. He also gave her a package, saying it was a gift from the villagers.
The ox cart went farther and farther away, and Yun Yan looked back at the Red Flag Brigade reluctantly.
"What's wrong? Are you reluctant to leave?" Yang Qian asked Yun Yan.
"A little bit. After all, I've lived there for five years, and the villagers are so welcoming," said Yun Yan.
Yang Qian didn't say anything. She didn't have as deep feelings for the Red Flag Brigade as Yun Yan did. After all, the place didn't leave a good impression on her.
"Yang Qian, I know you don't like the Red Flag Brigade, but you have to admit that there are more good people there than bad. Look, we were admitted to university, and the captain immediately gave us letters of introduction and permits to return to the city. He's much better than the captain of the Yang Brigade next door, Xu Changqing."
Yunyan was wandering around the village these days and heard from the villagers that the captain of the neighboring Yang Brigade relied on his power to force the female educated youth who were admitted to university to give themselves to him before he agreed to issue them certificates.
He is simply a complete scumbag. Yun Yan is glad that she was not assigned to the Shangyang Brigade.
When Yang Qian heard Yun Yan compare Liu Defu with the beastly captain of the Shangyang Brigade, she felt a little relieved.
Indeed, compared with Shangyang Brigade and several other brigades, Hongqi Brigade is the best. At least Liu Defu never uses the power in his hands to force these female educated youth.
After arriving at the county town, they asked Uncle Wang to take them to the post office and checked in all their belongings.
After sending the package, the two of them boarded a bus to Nan Province and arrived at the Nan Province Railway Station an hour and a half later. Yun Yan asked Yang Qian to look after the luggage while she went to buy the train tickets.
After buying the ticket, she went to the restroom again. After returning to the waiting hall, it was her turn to look after the luggage while Yang Qian went to the restroom.
Both of them had experience and went to the bathroom before getting on the train, so they could go to the bathroom less often after getting on the train.
After all, the smell in the restroom on the train is really unbearable.
There are not many people at the train station now, and it is not as noisy as when they went to the countryside.
At nine o'clock on the morning of the third day, the two finally arrived in Guangzhou. Yun Yan took Yang Qian directly to the house she had bought. Since they had bought a house, there was no need to waste money staying in a guesthouse.
"Yun Yan, your courtyard is really nice. It's big enough and close to Central China University of Political Science and Law." Yang Qian looked around the courtyard and said with satisfaction.
"If you like it, you can stay here forever. It's not far from Nan'en University." Yun Yan said with a smile.
"No, I like living alone." Yang Qian rejected Yun Yan's proposal.
Yunyan didn't force it, as she liked living alone anyway. The two of them then cleaned the courtyard thoroughly.
