The Jin family's house in Kyoto is a three-story house, very close to the Imperial College. Because they are from Jiangnan, the house is decorated in a very quiet and elegant style, with a small bridge and flowing water.
Jin Linlin looked around, feeling itchy inside, and couldn't wait to move in. Cao Jiao rolled her eyes at her, knowing exactly what she was planning.
"Don't dream, those two brothers will definitely come after us. Did you forget when we stayed at the manor last time? Just stay there quietly and don't make any trouble."
Jin Linlin glanced back at the servants she had brought with her and told them to clean up the house quickly. She and Cao Jiao went to her dowry house together, found a secluded storage room, and asked Cao Jiao to keep watch at the door.
She quickly poured out all the gold, silver and treasures she had looted from the secret room of the Duke of Zhenguo's Mansion and piled them in the warehouse. Oh my god, the space is so small, and the gold, silver and treasures are almost filling it up!
There was really no place to put other things, so I had to move these treasures into the warehouse first.
I looked at the space again and saw that it was empty. I felt so relieved!
By the time everything was done, it was already noon. She and Cao Jiao found a nearby restaurant and were about to feast when they ran into Ouyang Jin, the empress's nephew and the second male lead in the book.
Jin Linlin looked at Cao Jiao playfully, then glanced at Ouyang Jin, whose eyes lit up at the sight of Cao Jiao. You know, in this book, Ouyang Jin never married!
But now, because she and Jiang Zhixu are not dead, the subsequent plot is very different! They just flapped their butterfly wings a little, and the plot turned to who knows where.
She really wanted to see how the storyline between the heroine and the second male lead developed, but it was a pity that they were both married women now and couldn't have dinner with men outside their relationship. It was such a pity!
The food in this restaurant tasted really good. After the two of them had eaten and drunk their fill, they were leisurely drinking tea when they suddenly heard a faint sound coming from next door.
Listening carefully, they found two men's voices! Their curiosity was piqued. They grabbed the bamboo stick that supported the window and snapped it in half. Each of them took a small piece, pressed one end of the stick against the wall and the other end against their ear, and began to eavesdrop.
next room
The Fourth Prince and the Third Prince looked at each other, and finally the Fourth Prince gave in first:
"Why didn't you tell me you were coming here to eat? I could have eaten with you!"
"It has nothing to do with you. Why did you come in? I told you not to come to me again." The third prince glared at him.
"You should know how important you are to me. I can't be separated from you."
"Given our status, we can never be together. Stop wasting your energy." The third prince sneered with a half-smile.
"My life has always been controlled by my mother. You are the only one in my life that I want to fight for independently. No matter what, I will never give up on you." The fourth prince stubbornly took his hand.
"Look at me, do you really want to separate from me?"
The Third Prince shook his hand off and said decisively, "Yes, you are worthless in my heart. I can't give up anything in my life except you. No matter what the circumstances, you will definitely be the first one to be abandoned by me."
The Fourth Prince didn't believe it. With a gloomy face, he hugged the person opposite him and kissed him. The two pushed each other and shoved each other, and then slowly hugged each other to enjoy the brief warmth.
Jin Linlin and Cao Jiao next door were so shocked that their eyes almost popped out of their heads. These two turned out to be a pair of star-crossed lovers?
For them, same-sex love, though rare, was not unacceptable. However, for the ancients, this was simply heresy and shameful behavior. Alas! I was born at the wrong time. If I could have been born in modern times, how much better it would have been.
Cao Jiao couldn't help but sigh: "Alas, how can this era tolerate such emotions?"
Jin Linlin thought they were quite brave, but the voice seemed familiar.
"Ah, I know. This one is actually the Fourth Prince. Oh my God, has Jiang Shiwei found someone who likes men?" Jin Linlin lowered her voice and gossiped with Cao Jiao.
"This matter has nothing to do with us. From what the Fourth Prince said, it seems that man doesn't want to get entangled with him anymore. With the Fourth Prince's stubborn temper, I really don't know what earth-shattering things he will do.
We should not get involved in this, lest we get into trouble." Cao Jiao also said cautiously in a low voice.
In another private room of the restaurant, Jiang Shuyan and Zhuge Ke were talking. There were several plates of vegetarian dishes on the table in front of them, but no one touched their chopsticks.
The cup in Zhuge Ke's hand had already been crushed to pieces. He said indignantly:
"It's all my fault. I should have been more careful. If I hadn't fallen for someone else's scheme, my father wouldn't have been killed. I hate that princess to the core. Why would she plot against me like this?"
Jiang Shuyan hurriedly wiped the blood off his hands with a handkerchief. "Alas, why are you doing this? Now that things have come to this, don't blame yourself anymore. Dong Jinguo's people are simply trying to take advantage of the opportunity to plot against the Prime Minister, so they attacked you. If your father knew about this, he would definitely not want you to blame yourself so much."
Zhuge Ke glanced at Jiang Shuyan, then, like a wounded fawn, hugged his friend and burst into tears. These past few days, he'd been feeling repressed like a volcano about to erupt, and he didn't know how to release it.
Although his family did not blame him, he felt remorseful in his heart. He hated his own powerlessness and hated himself for implicating his father.
Jin Linlin and Cao Jiao finished their tea and gossip and were about to go home. As soon as they left the house, they bumped into Ouyang Jin and nodded to each other.
