Chapter 60 (After Marriage)
The man's voice was deep and clear, each word distinct.
Jialuo, holding his hand, stared blankly at the man beside her.
Looking at his cold yet handsome profile.
Suddenly, she felt that her palms were slightly damp.
Jialuo realized something, moved her hand, and tried to speak, but the man gripped her fingers tightly once again.
Tonight, the Qianqing Palace is destined to be filled with such turmoil.
The woman before him seemed unable to utter another word. She was dressed in opulent clothes, her face full of anger, but her lips trembled slightly.
"you………"
Just as she opened her lips, Angelama, who seemed to have fainted, suddenly let out a hoarse scream.
Everyone looked over, and Galo saw that she was disheveled and dirty. When she raised her face, she realized that Angelama's mouth was full of blood.
Angrama glared at Garo with resentment, her eyes filled with despair, jealousy, and disgust.
Galo frowned deeply. She really didn't understand why Angrama couldn't tolerate her.
Tonight's enormous, nightmarish situation was clearly something Angrama had told the Queen Mother, but she never expected the Queen Mother to treat her and her mother this way.
Just as the old woman behind her was about to restrain her again, Angelama slowly curled her lips at Garo.
His appearance was truly terrifying; his mouth was full of blood, his hair was disheveled, and his eyes were filled with resentment, yet he smiled at her.
Jialuo subconsciously took a step back, before she could speak.
Suddenly, Angrama turned his head sharply and slammed it straight into the ground.
The impact was so loud that Galo even felt as if he could hear her skull shattering.
"No!!!!!"
The queen, who had been kneeling to the side, let out a terrified roar.
Crimson blood spilled from Angelama's forehead, then her body went limp, her face turned toward her like a fish on a chopping board, her lips trembled, and she died just like that.
Jialuo pursed her lips tightly, watching her older sister, whom she had grown up with, die right in front of her.
"Don't look."
The man pulled her into his arms, and once again covered her eyes with his hand.
Jialuo felt her eyelashes constantly rubbing against the man's palm.
She then realized that she was trembling uncontrollably.
Even though he could no longer see anything clearly, the image of Angelama's blood-red eyes, still staring wide-eyed after his death, remained vivid in his mind.
The sound of Eji's desperate screams filled her ears, a sound that made Jialuo feel exceptionally heartbroken.
Although Eji had been extremely indifferent to Jialuo since birth, he had never made things difficult for her and was the Eji that Jialuo had kept in her heart for more than ten years.
As for her fifth sister, although their relationship was not particularly close, they did have some happy times together as sisters, but now she had died right in front of her.
Jialuo's lips moved, as if she wanted to speak, but the sound seemed to be swallowed, and she couldn't make a sound.
But the man seemed to understand her thoughts.
Fu Lin gently squeezed her hand in a comforting manner, and then Jia Luo heard him say loudly, "Please ask the Grand Consort of Khorchin to return to Zhongcui Palace to rest, and please ask the imperial physician to treat her."
"Consort Shu suddenly fell ill tonight and died despite all efforts to cure her."
"Consort Borjigit was of elegant character and upright conduct, and was buried in the imperial mausoleum."
After she finished speaking, Jialuo felt her body suddenly lighten, but she no longer had any desire to struggle.
His hand remained on her eyes, keeping her in darkness.
With a touch of assertive gentleness.
This time, no one stopped them.
She felt the man's footsteps, each one a long stride, until he entered the Qianqing Palace and once again placed her on the bed.
In the darkness, Galo felt the man release his hand.
But Jialuo did not open her eyes; she kept them closed.
She felt the man sitting on the couch, reaching out to take her hand, but without any disrespect or other implied meaning.
The man's hands are much larger and stronger than they were a few years ago.
"Jialuo, don't be afraid."
"No matter who you were or where you came from in the past, you have always been Borjigit Jialuo, the legitimate daughter of the Khorchin Prince, and the Empress of the Qing Dynasty."
After saying this, he put his hand back under the covers, then got up and went out.
The man stepped out, the door closed again, and the room fell silent.
The candlelight flickered, and all that could be seen were bright yellow curtains, with golden dragon carvings everywhere, the craftsmanship exquisite and lifelike.
Galo stared blankly at a spot, her mind filled with nothing but confusion.
As dawn broke, the sky was shrouded in mist, tinged with a grayish-white hue.
There were rustling sounds coming from outside, but they were not very clear.
Jialuo squinted, her voice hoarse, then opened her eyes again.
She didn't know what she should do at that moment, or whether she should get up.
Just as she was about to turn around and take a nap, she suddenly heard someone announce that the Emperor's father-in-law requested an audience with the Empress.
