Chapter 61 Matchmaking

Wen Zeli carried Lin Yitong upstairs, and no one noticed that there were two slender figures standing in the shadow of the stairs, taking in everything.

Wen Hangxing's expression could not be seen in the darkness. He said, "Let's go."

Jiang Sui keenly noticed that he was in a low mood and looked at him worriedly, "What's wrong, Hangxing?"

"Do you think my birth was a mistake?" Wen Hangxing's voice was dry, like the sound of a knife cutting on paper.

Jiang Sui was completely stunned. He recalled the scene just now and was speechless. He could only comfort her palely: "Don't think too much."

Wen Hangxing's face was filled with confusion. "I haven't seen my mother since I was conscious. When I was young, I asked everyone, but they all kept it secret. My father was also lukewarm towards me. I guess my background wasn't what he expected."

Jiang Sui's heart skipped a beat. "Don't talk about Hangxing. If that's not the case, wouldn't your guess hurt Uncle Wen's feelings?"

Wen Hangxing laughed briefly and shook his head. "How could he be sad because of me? I'm just like that in his eyes."

Jiang Sui was silent, thinking of the times when he and Wen Hangxing met Wen Zeli together. The man's attitude towards Wen Hangxing really did not show any warmth at all.

Wen Hangxing went on to say, "My dad is obviously pursuing her, but she has never agreed. Do you think it's because of me and my mother that she feels alienated?"

Jiang Sui defended Lin Yitang, "How can you think so of Aunt Lin? She is not that kind of person."

Wen Hangxing's eyes were filled with darkness, and his tone was calm but somewhat terrifying. "Even if she's no longer that kind of person, she'll still want to quit because of these things, right? She's so foolish, she doesn't care about money or power. If she can't even get a complete and sincere love, then what can this family use to keep her?"

Jiang Sui suddenly looked up at him, "You mean, Aunt Lin will leave?" He wanted to refute Wen Hangxing's words, but after thinking for a long time, he had to admit that what he said was flawless.

Wen Hangxing: "That day I asked her if she would always be with me, and she hesitated."

A thunderclap suddenly sounded in Jiang Sui's heart. He licked his cracked lips. If Lin Yitang really left one day, they would rarely see her and there would be no reason to contact her again.

"We can't let her go." Jiang Sui's eyes flashed with gloom. As soon as he thought of the possibility of her leaving, he wanted to lock her up here. He emphasized again, "Hangxing, we can't let her leave."

Wen Hangxing looked at his ugly expression and knew that his friend had always been a yandere since childhood. He said, "Reinstate yourself. If you really do that, she'll be angry."

Jiang Sui was reminded that he couldn’t make Aunt Lin angry, and he suppressed his dangerous expression.

Wen Hangxing stared at the spot where Lin Yitang had just sat and said, "Let me think about how I can get her to stay at home."

Jiang Sui asked, "How about bringing Aunt Lin and Uncle Wen together?"

Wen Hangxing glanced at him and said righteously: "It is illegal to go against a woman's will."

Jiang Sui added: "We can do our best to bring them together. If Aunt Lin doesn't like it, forget it."

Wen Hangxing thought about it and thought it was a good idea, so he said, "That's the only way for now."

"Will you leave because of this?" Jiang Sui asked casually.

Wen Hangxing did not answer.

Just when Jiang Sui thought he wouldn't get a response, a voice whispered, "Maybe, maybe not." Regardless, he would be prepared to leave. If they were better off without him, he would leave.

Downstairs, two people were discussing the plan in a serious atmosphere. Upstairs, Wen Zeli, one of the protagonists, gently placed the sleeping Lin Yitong on the bed and tucked in the corner of the quilt for her.

Lin Yitang wrinkled her face and murmured something, as if she was about to wake up. Wen Zeli gently patted the quilt covering her and said in a gentle voice, "Go to sleep, be good."

Lin Yitang fell asleep again under his comfort, with half of her face buried in the soft pillow and she fell into a deep sleep.

Wen Zeli then stood up and prepared to go to the bathroom to wash up. When he passed by the bathroom mirror, he glanced at it inadvertently and was stunned. He never knew that his expression in front of Lin Yitong was so gentle, like the ice and snow on the mountains turning into a trickle, clear and beautiful.

Wen Zeli shook his head, looked at himself in the mirror and said, "You are really screwed."

Lin Yitang sat up dazedly, feeling as if she hadn't done something. She used her hands to prop up her eyes, which were about to close, and muttered to herself, "Go away, sleepiness, go away."

The sound of water in the bathroom stopped, and Wen Zeli came out wearing a dark blue bathrobe, his hair still a little wet.

Just then, I saw Lin Yitong sitting on the bed with a tired look on her face. Wen Zeli smiled happily and said, "So cute, she's mine."

When Lin Yitang looked at him, he became less clear-headed again, covering his forehead with his hands, pretending to have a headache.

Lin Yitang's sleepiness instantly dissipated. She let go of the quilt and ran to Wen Zeli. She took his hand away and asked, "Does your head hurt?"

Wen Zeli nodded.

Lin Yitang touched his wet hair and said angrily, "Who told you to go in and take a shower by yourself?"

Wen Zeli looked at her somewhat bewilderedly, and said incoherently: "You fell asleep, I'll carry you up and give you a bath."

Lin Yitang felt a little guilty, wondering how he could have fallen asleep. Looking at the now clearly unconscious Wen Zeli, Lin Yitang thought, since he couldn't figure it out anyway, he quickly dismissed his regrets and instead thought of his previous "defeat" in front of Wen Zeli. He said in a fierce voice, "Go, sit over there, I'll blow your hair."

Wen Zeli glanced at her and sat down on the chair obediently. Lin Yitang looked down at Wen Zeli's head with a grim smile on his face, hehe, you're in my hands today!

She turned on the hair dryer with one hand and rubbed Wen Zeli's hair hard with the other hand, rubbing it around and around.

Wen Zeli said weakly from below, "Tangtang, are you still not feeling well?"

Lin Yitang looked at his already dry hair without changing his expression and said, "No, what's the rush?!" He pulled it hard again and left with satisfaction, "It's done."

Wen Zeli's hair was originally black and thick, but now it looked a little messy after being maliciously rubbed by Lin Yitong. It was completely different from his usual neat and orderly style, and it was actually a bit cute in contrast.

Lin Yitang stared at his hair and sighed, which was keenly caught by Wen Zeli. His eyes flashed and he asked, "What are you thinking about, Tangtang?"

"I was wondering, other CEOs have very thin hair, why don't you have baldness?" Lin Yitang thought that he was drunk anyway and probably wouldn't remember what happened today, so he asked casually.

Wen Zeli: “…” I shouldn’t have said that.

"Why? What shampoo did you use?" Lin Yitang asked again when she didn't get his answer.

Wen Zeli thought about his own grandfather, who was over seventy years old but still had decent hair. He looked at her seriously and said, "This is determined by genes. No one in our family will go bald."

"...Oh, okay." Lin Yitang didn't get any useful information and said with a depressed face.
