Lu An'an looked at the door of the ward and said slowly, "We need to... put on a show."
She curled her lips into a smile, her tone meaningful: "Perform a play that will make Lu Rongyu lower her guard."
In the ward, Lu Rongyu stared blankly out the window. On either side, two policemen stood like statues, their silence exuding an undeniable authority.
The door hinges clicked softly, and Lu Rongyu's body trembled involuntarily as she turned to look at the person who had entered.
Qi Rang entered the ward, his gaze sweeping directly over Lu Rongyu on the bed. He said to the two police officers with a blank expression, "Return to the station. This young lady's suspicion has been cleared. Go back to the police station."
Upon hearing this, a barely perceptible glint flashed in Lu Rongyu's eyes, and she then cautiously asked, "Hello, may I ask... does this mean that I haven't done anything wrong before, and haven't been involved in any illegal activities?"
Qi Rang finally turned his gaze to Lu Rongyu's face, his tone flat: "Miss Lu, don't you know?"
Lu Rongyu shrank back slightly, her expression filled with fear. She bit her lower lip, her voice barely audible: "I'm so sorry, I... I really can't remember. If, if anything irreversible has happened because of me, I'm willing to take full responsibility and accept the punishment I deserve."
Qi Rang sneered: "Too bad, someone has submitted evidence of your innocence. Congratulations, Miss Lu, you've cleared your name. We'll leave today, and you're free."
Upon hearing this, Lu Rongyu slowly lowered her head, her long hair obscuring half of her face, making it impossible to see her expression. She whispered, "Thank you."
Qi Rang subtly glanced at the two suspicious police officers beside him, then led them out of the ward.
The ward door closed gently, and he even called out a couple of times in a serious manner: "Alright, everyone go now. Since the people inside have been cleared of suspicion, let's close the case as soon as possible."
He then led his officers and made a show of leaving the hospital.
After listening to the sounds from the ward outside for a while and confirming that there was no noise, Lu Rongyu slowly moved to the window. Her gaze pierced through the gap in the curtains until she was sure that Qi Rang and his group had indeed left the area. A glint of light flashed in her eyes.
But just to be on the safe side, she opened the ward door and walked around the corridor, even checking the two adjacent wards to make sure she hadn't overlooked any potential risks. Then, she returned to her own ward with peace of mind, sat gently on the edge of the bed, and her face was filled with undisguised smugness and pride: "I won, I succeeded!"
Seeing Lu Rongyu's series of actions on the surveillance footage, Lu An'an laughed out loud: "That car accident really made her more perceptive; she even knows to check the surroundings now."
[Tsk tsk, the blood clot in his head didn't compress the brain nerves, but it did absorb the water in his brain.]
Lu Yubai's lips twitched slightly.
Even a lick of her lips by her younger sister could poison her to death.
Upon hearing this, Qi Rang nodded slightly: "Indeed, it's fortunate that I didn't directly arrange for someone to stake out the next ward."
He turned to Lu An'an and asked, "When are you going on stage?"
Lu An'an crossed her legs, her fingertips lightly tapping her knees, and slowly opened her lips: "Midnight, when you're half asleep, is the perfect time to do something naughty... no, to find the truth."
Qi Rang: "......"
He opened his mouth as if to say something, then sighed softly and said helplessly, "Take it easy, there are police officers watching."
Lu An'an smiled sweetly: "Captain Qi, what are you saying? I'm a model citizen, I certainly wouldn't dare to do anything reckless!"
Qi Rang reached out and gently rubbed his temples. "You'd better be."

Lu Yanli slapped Lu Yubai on the back of the head and said speechlessly, "Stop messing around with the voiceover!"
Lu Yubai rubbed the back of his head and muttered, "I'm going to add some atmosphere!"
Qi Rang rolled his eyes. "The atmosphere was great. Don't worry about the atmosphere next time."
Lu Wenjing stared at the screen and reminded her, "An'an has gone inside."
Upon hearing this, Qi Rang quickly gave the order to the police officer next to him: "Switch to Lu An'an's perspective."
As Lu An'an pushed open the door to the ward, she heard Lu Rongyu exclaim in surprise, "Who?!"
She turned on the light switch by the door, looked at the wary Lu Rongyu, and tilted her head slightly: "Your great-aunt."
Lu Rongyu tried her best to suppress the urge to say something vulgar, and said weakly, "I already know you are my older sister, so please stop making jokes like this."
After saying that, she looked at Lu An'an curiously and asked, "Sister, are you here to take me home?"
Lu An'an walked in slowly and deliberately, sat on the sofa, crossed her arms and looked at Lu Rongyu who was still pretending. A faint sneer appeared on her lips, and her voice was cold: "It's just the two of us here now, Lu Rongyu. You don't need to pretend with me. I know you haven't lost your memory."
Her gaze swept over Lu Rongyu's head, and she said slowly, "The blood clot in your brain can't compress your nerves, so don't act. There's no need. I'm not your lackey, nor am I a policeman. I won't believe you even if you pretend."
A dark glint flashed in Lu Rongyu's eyes, but her expression showed even greater confusion: "Sister, what are you talking about? I really can't remember. I'm not lying to you."
