Chapter 3 is unethical

Wen Nan let go of her hand, and under the astonished gazes of the crowd, she immediately stood up, casually wringing out the water from her clothes.

The water from my clothes was flowing all over the floor.

She shook the water off her hands, her gaze falling on the embroiderer, a cold smile appearing on her face. "Sister, you took advantage of my drunkenness and pushed me into the lake. That's really unkind. Sister, what grudge do you hold against me?"

Wen Nan had a smile on his face, but it didn't reach his eyes. The oppressive feeling that came with it made the embroiderer feel a little suffocated.

The embroiderer quickly stepped back a few paces.

Wen Nan reached out and grabbed the embroiderer's shoulder, stopping her from trying to escape. His voice grew colder and colder, "Trying to kill me, you're a vicious woman."

The embroiderer's teeth chattered; of course, she wouldn't admit it.

"What nonsense are you spouting, Madam Wen? Why would I want to kill you? Madam Wen... you've had too much to drink! You're talking nonsense!" Xiu Niang immediately denied it. Xiu Niang had been reborn a year ago, and she had been trying to please Lu Yanqing and building a good image for herself in the village.

The embroiderer is a well-known good girl in Lianhua Village, how could she possibly frame Wen Nan?

One was smart, capable, and hardworking, while the other was lazy, spoiled, and had offended many people in the village.

Who is right and who is wrong.

The villagers immediately made their judgment.

"Madam Wen, you've had too much to drink, why is Xiu Niang pushing you?"

"Madam Wen, the Wen family doesn't want you anymore, do you still think you're a young lady? You're wronging people, you're really shameless."

"Madam Wen, the embroiderer is a good girl, why would she push you?"

"Madam Wen is wrongly accusing someone..."

In an instant, everyone sided with him.

The embroiderer was extremely pleased with herself. So what if she pushed him? She wouldn't admit it, so what could Wen Nan do?

The embroiderer glanced at Lu Yanqing, who hadn't said a word the whole time.

The embroiderer, with her dark skin, forced out tears, thinking herself to be a beautiful woman in the rain, and looked at Wen Nan, saying, "Madam Wen, what have I done wrong that makes you unhappy and so unjustly accuse me?"

"As a girl, I..." The embroiderer's tearful words hadn't even finished.

Wen Nan grabbed the embroiderer by the back of her neck, as if she were a chick, and strode to the lakeside.

She lifted the embroiderer by the hand, raising her entire body above the lake. The embroiderer was suspended in mid-air above the lake.

The embroiderer was dumbfounded. In the dead of winter, if she fell into this lake, she would probably lose half her life.

She dared not break free, fearing that if she made a sudden movement, Wen Nan would let go of her.

"Lady Wen has such great strength!"

"Lady Wen, what are you doing?"

"Is Lady Wen trying to kill me?"

The villagers were all surprised that Wen Nan had such great strength.

Lu Yanqing didn't expect that his frowning gaze would fall on Wen Nan. From the beginning, Wen Nan kept calling him "little sister," to her current behavior... what had provoked Wen Nan this time?

"It's okay if you don't admit it. I'll just give it back to you." Wen Nan said calmly as she prepared to let go.

A five-year-old boy next to me suddenly started wailing.

"Lady Wen, please don't throw my sister down! She threw you down by accident, please forgive her. She didn't mean to..." The embroiderer's younger brother, Yuanlang, wailed.

When the embroiderer went out, Yuanlang secretly followed her and saw everything, but he dared not say anything. Now, seeing his sister about to fall into the lake, he was completely flustered.

Zhao Da Niang, the embroiderer's mother, reached out and covered Yuan Lang's mouth.

"Children speak without restraint, children speak without restraint..."
