Chapter 11: Eating (1/2)

Chapter 11 Eating

Grandma Qi was wearing a gray cotton and linen outfit today. She looked clean and energetic, and didn't look like someone of her age at all.

The word calm is the most appropriate to describe her.

She smiled and waited for Tang Wan to come over. When she was almost there, she reached out and held Tang Wan's hand, asking her to stand next to her.

"Look at these two small peach trees. I found them when I went up the mountain last time. I'll transplant them to the yard when the time comes. Then you can see the peach blossoms next spring." Grandma Yi pointed at the peach trees that Qin Zheng was digging.

Tang Wan imagined that Qin Zheng's yard was very large, and planting two trees in the yard would indeed add a lot of color to the yard.

Seeing that Tang Wan could understand the situation she described, the smile on Grandma Qi's face deepened.

"Girls are the ones who understand. I've talked to A Zheng several times, but he doesn't think there's anything to see. If I hadn't insisted, he wouldn't have come to dig the tree for me." There was a hint of complaint in Grandma Zheng's tone.

"I'm here." Qin Zheng said helplessly.

As soon as she said that, he followed her to dig. As for whether he would watch it or not, he really didn't feel anything.

"You see, he's still not happy even after I told him."

"Your yard is big. If you plant peach trees there, you can see peach blossoms in the spring and provide shade in the summer." Tang Wan could tell that this was Grandma Qi teasing Qin Zheng, so she also said Qi with a smile.

"I just said that there are still girls at home. After we dig up the tree, you can come to my house for dinner. Yesterday, A Zheng caught a pheasant, and grandma will cook it for you today." There was a hint of imperceptible pride in Grandma's tone.

Tang Wan was just about to find a reason to refuse when Qin Zheng spoke up: "Grandma's cooking is very delicious. She wants you to try her cooking skills."

"You promised me last time that you couldn't refuse when I asked you to come for dinner, otherwise I would have to send those things to you." Grandma said.

Now Tang Wan couldn't even say the word of refusal. After all, she had agreed before. Now that Qin Zheng said so, it would be inappropriate to make excuses.

"Then I'll wait to taste Grandma's cooking."

When they left, Tang Wan came over and wanted to help, but unexpectedly Qin Zheng put the two peach trees on his shoulders with one hand without any help.

Grandma Qi patted Tang Wan's hand and said, "He's very strong, don't worry about him."

Tang Wan looked at Qin Zheng who was walking in front of her. Due to his movements, the hem of his clothes was pulled upwards, making the clothes stick to his body. The outline of the muscles on his back was clearly visible. He was strong and powerful, and he could probably pick someone up with one hand.

Given his physique, it's normal for the villagers to be afraid of him.

Being so tall and strong, he gives people a sense of oppression when standing in front of anyone.

Tang Wan had been to Qin Zheng's house twice, and the yard was always kept very clean, and this time was no exception.

It can be seen that both the grandparents and grandchildren are hardworking.

When they got to the yard, Grandma went to the kitchen to prepare. She didn't let Tang Wan help, so Tang Wan just went to the yard to help Qin Zheng plant the peach tree.

The hole for planting the peach tree in the yard was dug early in the morning, and now all we have to do is plant the peach tree.

Tang Wan helped Qin Zheng hold the peach tree and watched Qin Zheng bury the soil in it bit by bit.

Somehow, looking at Tang Wan's delicate fingers gripping the rough peach tree branch, Qin Zheng felt that today was particularly hot. Although it was still a cloudy day, it felt like the sun was shining brightly on him.

Qin Zheng had no way to vent the heat in his heart, so he could only bury his head in filling the hole and hurry to finish it.

Tang Wan supported the trees and Qin Zheng filled the soil, and the two peach trees were soon planted.
