Chapter 38: Fishing (2/2)

This fish is different from food. It does not require labor to catch. It is only collected by the number of people, regardless of age.

After the captain announced the results, the people below began to calculate how many fish each of their family members could catch.

This time the fish was a great harvest.

Tang Wan's was naturally with Grandma Bai and Qin Zheng. The three of them caught more than ten fish, and because Qin Zheng was a strong laborer who came at the beginning, they caught two more.

That's a lot for the three of them, not to mention the whole family with children, who basically took half a bucket back.

Several people at the educated youth site even used two buckets to hold so many fish.

Even if the fresh fish is not tasty, it is still meat, and this amount is already an improvement in the meal.

Of course, catching fish is just as enjoyable as fishing.

The process of catching fish is like releasing another self in my heart.

The men in the village are not particular. They don’t wear shirts when the weather is hot, and this is especially true when they go to the river.

Qin Zheng is no exception.

When Tang Wan was watching the people fishing below from the shore, she didn't know how many people looked at Qin Zheng's abdominal muscles. Although many girls were embarrassed, Tang Wan still heard their discussion.

Even Luo Ying and Cuicui, who were so afraid of Qin Zheng, couldn't help but praise Qin Zheng's muscles, which were completely different from those of other people in the village who had grown thin.

Tang Wan naturally couldn't help herself and looked at it openly several times.

Fortunately, Qin Zheng only took off his shirt when it was the hottest at noon, and put it back on not long after.

Tang Wan had nothing to watch.

Everyone had a great time today. The whole village had fun together for the whole day without having to work, not to mention that we had fish in our hands, which would allow us to improve our meals when we return home later.

Several children who hadn't played enough in the river were picked up by their parents and taken home. Their faces were covered with mud, and it was hard to tell which ones were their own.

After the sun had completely set, in the afterglow of the sunset, people with smiles on their faces walked home in groups of three or four.

When Tang Wan went fishing, she also found Grandma Bai. At the beginning, Grandma Bai followed a few other grandmas to help mend the fishing nets. She was very busy and happy throughout the whole process.

Grandma Bai was very happy at this moment. She pulled Tang Wan and walked in front. Qin Zheng followed behind with a bucket. I don't know what they were thinking.

"Grandma will make fish soup for you when we get home later. Time is tight today, so I'll try other methods tomorrow. The fish grandma cooks doesn't have any fishy smell and is very delicious." Grandma Bai was still so excited that her voice was louder than usual.

"We can't finish all this fish in two days. Will it go bad?"

"Don't worry, if you fry it in oil, it can be kept for a long time. If you marinate it with salt, it can also be kept for a while, but it will be too salty if you do that." Grandma Bai had obviously thought it through.

After hearing what Grandma Bai said, Tang Wan felt relieved and walked away with Grandma Bai's hand in hers.

The summer evening breeze blowing on people, mixed with the smell of distant grass, makes people relax from the inside out.

The chirping of cicadas, mixed with the croaking of frogs and the accompaniment of crickets, creates a unique symphony in the countryside.

It seems like everyone has no worries.

However, this is obviously impossible.

The river behind the village is very close to Grandma Bai's house. After arriving at Grandma Bai's house, Tang Wan went back to the educated youth point. Although she did not go down, she got a lot of mud on her body from helping out on the shore. She needed to change her clothes before going to eat.

However, before entering the gate of the educated youth site, Tang Wan heard a fierce quarrel coming from inside.
