Sweet days always pass quickly. After spending two days alone with Dongzi, Lingdang boarded a plane to Country Y. She was accompanied by Taohua who was going to study abroad.
"Are you nervous?" Lingling patted Lingling's arm to comfort her. The little girl's eyes were red, and she was still immersed in the sadness of parting with her family.
Sometimes people only face their deepest feelings when they are faced with them.
Just like Taohua now, although she usually says that she doesn't want to go home and feels irritated when her mother talks to her about those things all day, but when it really comes to separation, Taohua feels the reluctance deep in her heart.
There was even a moment when she vaguely didn't want to leave...
"Sister Lingdang, I miss my parents, my brother and my sister-in-law." When Taohua heard Lingdang's comfort, her little mouth curled up and tears fell down.
"Okay, okay, you're not allowed to cry for a while, otherwise your eyes will be swollen and ugly," Lingling said, and she handed her the cup of water and continued, "If you want to go home, come back anytime. Don't push yourself too hard when you study. Relax appropriately and walk around and have fun."
"Well, I know Sister Lingdang, but I only plan to study abroad for two years. I want to learn as much as possible in these two years, so that I won't let my sister-in-law down for sending me abroad." Taohua had planned these things a long time ago. Although her sister-in-law said that she didn't need to worry so much, she spent so much money on her sister-in-law, and she wanted to give back.
"Don't think too much. Sister Qiao sent you out because she wanted you to see more of the world, not because she wanted you to push yourself too hard. If you are too tired, she will also be in a bad mood. This is not her original intention." Lingling was afraid that this girl would push herself too hard. She was far away in a foreign country. If she got sick, they would not be able to take care of her. That would be too worrying.
"Well, I will combine work and rest." Taohua nodded solemnly. Although Lingling was only a few years older than her, she was much more mature than her. With Lingling's comfort, Taohua's mood gradually stabilized and she fell asleep leaning on Lingling's shoulder.
"Asleep?" Dongzi, who was sitting on the other side of Lingling, heard no movement over there. He turned his head and saw Taohua sleeping soundly on Lingling's shoulder.
"Yeah, just a little kid." Lingling turned her head to look at Taohua who was leaning on her shoulder and smiled gently.
"You are also a child, and you are still here taking care of children," Dongzi said with a smile. The next moment, he supported Lingling's head and rested it on his shoulder. "You should also take a nap. We still have a long way to go."
"Okay," Lingling responded, and she obediently rested her head on Dongzi's shoulder and fell asleep...
The plane arrived at the airport in Country Y. The air was filled with strange smells, completely different from the feeling in China. The airport was crowded with blond and blue-eyed foreigners. In such an environment, Taohua felt like she was in a foreign country.
"Look, is that the person my uncle arranged to pick us up?" Lingling pointed at the only black-haired man in the crowd at the airport. The sign in his hand looked a little blurry because of the distance. As Lingling spoke, she pulled Xia Tian towards the man. The sign read, 'Warmly welcome Miss Taohua'
"It's him, it's him," Xia Tian said, waving excitedly at the man. It was an extraordinary feeling to see a person with black hair and brown eyes in a foreign country.
"Excuse me, are you Miss Taohua?" The man saw a Chinese girl waving at him and hurried to the entrance and asked.
"It's me, it's me. Excuse me, did Uncle Nan ask you to pick us up?" Taohua asked
"My name is Qi Qi. Director Nan arranged for me to come here. Please come this way. I'll take you to the hotel to put your things first." The man wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses. He was gentle and refined, with a tall but slightly thin figure. When he spoke at this time, the smile on his face was very polite and friendly, which easily made people relax their guard. While talking, Taohua had a particularly good impression of the man in front of her.
"Hello, thank you for your help," Dongzi said politely.
The group walked out, Dongzi and Qi Qi pushed the luggage, Taohua and Lingdang followed behind.
"I'll put the car in the trunk first, you guys get in first." Qi Qi and his men stood in front of a car in the parking lot, opened the door and let the two girls get in first.
"Okay, thank you." Lingdang and Taohua thanked them and got on the back seat obediently. Dongzi and Qi Qi put things in the car together.
After putting the luggage in the car and driving on the road, Lingling and Xiatian looked at the street scene outside the car, full of curiosity. Even though Dongzi has traveled all over the country for many years, he still finds the streets with different styles very novel.
"Brother Qi, we're going to go to the hotel to put our things down. Are we going to go find Uncle Nan?"
"Yes, Director Nan has booked a private room in the hotel. You guys can go into the room and pack up. We will be there at six o'clock."
"Then when we go to dinner tonight, take down the things that Sister Qiao brought to Uncle Nan. Remember to remind me, I'm afraid I'll forget." Lingdang was afraid that she would forget, so she spread her hands and patted Dongzi, who was sitting in the passenger seat, asking him to remind her.
"Don't worry," Dongzi replied with his head tilted. The bell on this road had reminded him many times. Not to mention forgetting it, he might even dream about it.
The hotel that Uncle Nan booked for the group was in the city center, not far from Taohua's school and the embassy, but a long way from the airport. It took more than half an hour to drive to the hotel.
As the car stopped, the porter was the first to arrive and open the trunk. After Qi Qi communicated with him, the porter quickly moved the things into the car, and Qi Qi took a few people to the front desk to check in.
"Here, keep the keys and go back to your room to rest. I'll go pick up Director Nan first. We'll meet at 203 on the second floor at six o'clock." Qi Qi distributed the room keys to everyone and instructed
"Okay, Brother Qi, you go ahead and do your work. Thank you for your hard work." Dongzi and the others thanked him and went back to their rooms. Since they all knew foreign languages, they were not worried about communication problems.
