Chapter 12: Concealment (1/2)

Tang Huan pursed his lips in distress, and leaned closer to Feng Sisi's ear, "Sisi, it's actually quite good to find a rich husband~"

Is Tang Huan making fun of her with the joke she told on the bus?

Feng Sisi grabbed Tang Huan's arm, held up her English book to block their heads, and threatened her fiercely in a low voice: "If I meet a rich gay man, I will introduce him to you first and marry you off!"

In the classroom, apart from Tang Huan and Feng Sisi, who was also repeating a grade, the rest of the students were all sixteen or seventeen years old. What the two of them said was not suitable for other students to hear.

Although he knew Sisi was just joking, Tang Huan still felt that he should tell her about his situation. Some jokes were not suitable to be played on her.

The two of them huddled together, and Tang Huan whispered to her, "I have a husband."

"!!!" The English book that covered the two of them fell on the table with a thud. Feng Sisi looked at Tang Huan in shock. Huanhuan has a husband?

Is she married?

A head leaned towards the window outside the classroom. Tang Huan caught a glimpse of it out of the corner of his eye. He quietly tugged at Feng Sisi's sleeve, who was still in shock. He stared at the textbook and whispered to her, "The teacher is outside."

Feng Sisi still hadn't come back to her senses, but her reaction to the word "teacher" was engraved in her subconscious actions. She held the English book in front of her eyes and her mouth moved in vain.

Even when Tang Huan was reciting, her voice was not much louder than a mosquito. Feng Sisi could not hear her clearly and would have thought she was chanting scriptures if she didn't know.

After recovering from her shock, Feng Sisi had no intention of memorizing the words. Those English words knew her, but she didn't know them.

She reads out words by translating them into Chinese. Don't get me wrong, it's not the Chinese words corresponding to the words, but the Chinese translation of the pronunciation of the words.

She can read from the book, but she doesn’t recognize it if it’s moved to another place.

The morning reading finally ended. There was a twenty-minute break between the morning reading and the first class. Some students who didn’t eat breakfast could take this opportunity to go to the cafeteria to get food.

Feng Sisi pulled Tang Huan to a big tree behind the teaching building. She was nothing but curious!

Seeing that there was no one around, she couldn't wait to ask Tang Huan: "Aren't you twenty years old? Why did you get married so early?"

Getting married just after reaching marriageable age is too hasty!

"Something happened at home." Tang Huan didn't want to say what it was, as she didn't have such a strong desire to share.

It takes courage to share your misery or happiness with others.

It was obvious that Tang Huan didn't want to talk about those things, so Feng Sisi changed the subject: "How old is your husband? Is he good to you?"

Not knowing how to answer this question, Tang Huan looked down at her feet. She was still wearing the same pair of sandals from yesterday, and the same places that had rubbed her feet yesterday were still rubbing them today.

She knew too well the feeling of being isolated. If she told Sisi that she was a widow whose husband had passed away, would she still be friends with her?

What if this gets known to everyone...

Tang Huan couldn't open her mouth when she thought of her classmates laughing at her and pointing at her behind her back while she was sitting in a wheelchair.

Seeing Tang Huan suddenly lower her head and remain silent, Feng Sisi squatted down and looked up at her, "What's wrong? Is he not treating you well?"

Facing Feng Sisi's concerned eyes, Tang Huan only murmured a few words: "He's fine."

She is a coward, a coward who doesn't even dare to tell the truth.

She will tell the truth after the college entrance examination. She will first teach Feng Sisi English. Even if Feng Sisi is unwilling to be friends with her at that time, at least they will benefit from each other.
