Chapter 54, Come Back (2/2)

"Yeah." Tang Huan retracted his head again. He wanted to close the door but felt it was not appropriate. This time, he stretched out half of his body and waved at Qiu Zhigang, "Goodbye, Comrade Qiu Zhigang."

After saying goodbye, we can close the door now.

The door closed and Qiu Zhigang stood there. After a long while, when no little head popped out, he walked downstairs with stiff steps.

After closing the door and sitting back on the sofa, Tang Huan silently repeated Qiu Zhigang's name in his mind, trying to remember it for fear of forgetting it later.

Not long after, there was another knock on the door. Tang Huan ran over to open it. This time it was definitely Comrade Xing Cui.

As soon as the door opened, her smile faded a little, and she stepped aside to make way, greeting the person outside, "Brother, you're back."

Meng Zeyan, who rushed back exhausted, looked at the person inside the door. This scene might have appeared in his dream, otherwise why would it be so familiar to him.

"Yeah." Meng Zeyan smiled and walked into the house. Not seeing Comrade Xing Cui, he asked, "Where's Mom?"

"Mom went to buy groceries. She doesn't like the food in the cafeteria either." Tang Huan reached out to close the door, walked back to the sofa and sat down.

Meng Zeyan walked into the room and asked with a smile: "What about you? What do you think of the food in the cafeteria?"

"I think it's okay." Tang Huan answered generally.

Meng Zeyan said nothing more, walked into his room and closed the door.

It turns out that being in the same yard is very different from being in the same house. Tang Huan sat on the sofa watching TV, but his ears always unconsciously searched for the sounds he made.

The sound of him changing shoes, the sound of him washing hands, the sound of him walking...

She didn't want to catch those sounds, but they seemed to be drilling into her ears uncontrollably.

After Meng Zeyan came out of the room, Tang Huan turned around from the sofa and said, "Just now, a man came to see you. He said his name was Qiu Zhigang."

Meng Zeyan nodded and looked at Tang Huan on the sofa, "I understand."

She didn't know that when she turned around, he didn't hear what she said at all.

After I was distracted, I only heard one name, Qiu Zhigang.

His knowing was a lie that was hard to expose.

He changed into a new set of clothes, not a military uniform, but the clothes he bought at the mall that time.

It wasn't the first time she saw him wearing it. Tang Huan had seen him when he was trying on clothes, but she still thought he was tall and handsome.

Tang Huan turned around and continued watching TV, even watching the ugly villain with great attention.

The footsteps sounded again, this time getting closer and closer to her. Meng Zeyan grabbed a stool and sat down next to the sofa to watch TV together.

Why didn't he go to Qiu Zhigang to ask what was going on? Instead, he was watching TV here.

His breathing became much lighter unconsciously, and Tang Huan even watched the commercials inserted in the middle of the TV series very carefully.

Time passed minute by minute, and the knock on the door sounded again. Tang Huan almost jumped up from the sofa.

She ran to the front door and opened it.

When Xing Cui came back from buying groceries, the house became lively. Meng Zeyan finally gave up watching TV and went to the kitchen to help cook.

The sound of chatting in the kitchen could be heard, and Tang Huan felt that he might have had clairaudience in his previous life.

Meng Zeyan patiently told Xing Cui about the neighbors on this floor, their family names, and their character.

The mother and son were busy in the kitchen, while Tang Huan sat watching TV and listening to everything around him.

There are no TV dramas during this time period, only commercials, and after the commercials the news broadcast begins.

This meal was spent in the sound of the news anchor's voice. This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
