Meng Zeyan was completely speechless after being forced to do so by Qiu Zhigang. He let out a long sigh, "Qiu Zhigang, I remember the Second Battalion Commander's mother is a great matchmaker. I'll give you a day off tomorrow. Bring your things and go talk to her. When you get married, I'll go to the wedding."
After saying that, he turned and left, probably because he had no appetite for the rest of the meal.
What does the battalion commander mean by that? Asking him to find a matchmaker, does that mean he's not going to help?
If any lesbian would do, would Qiu Zhigang have remained single until now?
He took two quick steps to catch up with Meng Zeyan, and followed him without giving up. "Captain, can you please ask your sister if she's willing to talk to me first? I won't force it, really!"
Meng Zeyan quickened his pace. The only reason he could hold back from attacking Qiu Zhigang was because of the military regulations he had memorized. He usually seemed quite sensible, but now he acted like a complete fool.
Meng Zeyan went upstairs, and Qiu Zhigang followed him, "Captain, help me!"
There weren't many people in the corridor right now, but that didn't mean others couldn't hear Qiu Zhigang's words.
Meng Zeyan was really unable to stop pestering him, so he shook his hand at him and said, "I know, get out of here."
As expected, those who are married are experienced. The most important thing to find a partner is persistence! The leader agreed, and Qiu Zhigang immediately changed the subject: "Leader, then I won't bother you anymore. Please leave that matter to me!"
Meng Zeyan went upstairs without looking back. He would send someone to take Qiu Zhigang to find a matchmaker tomorrow and arrange a blind date for him.
He must get married this year.
When he returned home, the people eating at the table had already left, and there was food left for him on the plate.
Tang Huan and Xing Cui were washing dishes in the kitchen. Xing Cui told her some gossip she heard when she went out to buy groceries with others.
The families in the military housing complex were so close together that any loud noise from one household could be heard by those nearby. Fights and quarrels couldn't be hidden; within a short while, every household knew about it.
Meng Zeyan sat back at the table, picked up his chopsticks and took two bites, then put them down again out of anger.
He stood up and walked to the kitchen door, looking at the two female comrades inside.
Feeling that he was being watched, Tang Huan turned around and found Meng Zeyan at the kitchen door. He was watching Comrade Xing Cui wash dishes.
"Have you finished eating? If you have, bring your bowl in." Xing Cui said to the person at the kitchen door.
Tang Huan had already turned around. Meng Zeyan glanced at her and walked out to get the dishes.
He was so angry that he lost his mind. It was Qiu Zhigang who was interested in her, what did it have to do with her? He was actually angry with her.
Meng Zeyan returned to the table with the dishes and chopsticks and walked into the kitchen this time.
The kitchen was not a big place, and the two female comrades were not very noticeable inside. It felt a bit crowded after Meng Zeyan entered.
He stood behind Tang Huan and handed the dishes to Comrade Xing Cui, who was washing the dishes, and accidentally bumped his elbow into her back.
Tang Huan, who was wiping the dishes, silently bent forward a little. It was just an accidental bump, so there was no need to make a fuss.
After handing the dishes to his mother, Meng Zeyan also noticed that the kitchen was a bit crowded, so he walked a few steps outside and stood at the kitchen door.
Looking at the two people busy inside, he asked gently, "Can we go back to school early tomorrow morning? Or I can take you home later."
Going back to school is to ask her, right? Tang Huan picked up the stack of bowls and turned to put them in the cupboard. "Anything is fine, as long as I'm not late." This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
