Lin Yao's face was covered in yellow sauce from eating, so Lin Li took out a handkerchief and gently wiped his face.
"Grandma, this is so delicious!"

As midnight approached, the guests began to leave one after another.
Lin Laosan and Mr. Yu were talking at the door, nodding to each other from time to time.
Lin Li shook hands with Zhou Peiwen to say goodbye: "The dinner was very sumptuous, thank you for your trouble."
Zhou Peiwen said with a smile, "Dr. Lin, you're too kind. Come over for tea another day. I recently acquired some pre-Qingming Longjing tea."
"good!"
The two looked at each other and smiled.
Once inside the car, Lin Yao had already fallen asleep leaning on his brother's shoulder, a satisfied smile on his face.
Lin Li gently covered him with a small blanket.
Lin Laosan said from the side, "Mom, thank you for your hard work today."
Lin Li shook her head: "It's not hard work. I'm relieved to see that you get along well with them."

"Hello?"

"Dr. Lin? Perfect timing, I was just about to call you. Wang Jianguo is in trouble, he's been kidnapped, and the kidnappers are demanding a ransom of three million."
Three million?
"Yes. The kidnappers specifically requested that I come forward to negotiate."
Mr. Yu's voice remained calm and steady, carrying a comforting power.
“They said if you don’t pay, you can wait to collect the body. Come to my company right now, the address is 120 Des Voeux Road Central, Central. Security will take you up.”
"I'm coming right away."
Lin Li hung up Mr. Yu's call.
He turned his head and looked calmly at Lin Laosan.
"Go to the bank and mortgage this villa to raise three million. I'll go to Mr. Yu's place right now."
As she spoke, she took out the house's documentation from her storage space and handed it to him.
