Seeing that she was distracted, Fu Hanzhou bit her neck, and the sudden pain made her scream.
As soon as her body felt lighter, she was picked up by Fu Hanzhou. Before she could react, he pressed her down heavily on the bed and kissed her madly.
"Fu Hanzhou..."
Qin Ying's voice broke, but Fu Hanzhou blocked all her protests with his lips.
His movements were decisive, typical of a soldier. Feeling her soft body, it seemed as if all his desires had found an outlet, and his movements became more intense.
When the atmosphere in the room quieted down, Fu Hanzhou contentedly held Qin Ying in his arms, his hot chest pressed against her back, his voice lazily filled with the aftermath of lust:
"Xiaocheng will pick you up from school on time every day. If I'm not busy, I'll go."
His arms were tightly around her waist, and his mouth was nuzzling her earlobe.
"Don't resist, Wei Zhuolan dares to get even a step closer..."
Qin Ying closed her eyes and responded in a daze, feeling deeply tired.
Fu Hanzhou listened to her even breathing. Even though she was in his arms, he couldn't dispel the uneasiness in his heart. He held her tighter in his arms again, closed his eyes and fell asleep.
The next morning, Fu Hanzhou sent Qin Ying to school with a sullen face.
Wei Zhuolan was waiting in the office early.
The wind outside the window rustled the leaves of the camphor tree. He looked down from the office window and saw Qin Ying walking towards him in the morning light, her fingertips unconsciously stroking the rim of the coffee cup, a sly smile flashing in her eyes.
Seeing her looking up at the bird's nest on the camphor tree, the morning light cast a hazy golden edge on her outline, and his Adam's apple moved unconsciously.
When Qin Ying walked in, the office was filled with the aroma of coffee.
When she approached, Wei Zhuolan pushed the pure white coffee cup in front of her. The mist blurred his gaze on Qin Ying:
"Come and have a seat. Come and try this. This is small-grain coffee from Yunnan. I asked someone to bring it to you."
There was a glint in his eyes, and his voice was filled with just the right amount of enthusiasm:
“It tastes good and gives me a pleasant surprise…”
Qin Ying glanced at the coffee but did not sit down. She lowered her eyes to avoid his burning gaze and said in a businesslike tone:
"Teacher Wei, no need for coffee. Regarding the work of freshman representatives and class monitors, I think..."
"Don't be in a hurry. Good coffee should be drunk while it's hot. Let's talk about work slowly. Sit down first."
Wei Zhuolan interrupted her calmly, his eyes fixed on the tips of her red ears, as if he didn't care about Qin Ying's alienation.
"Teacher Wei, since we're talking about work, I think we should hurry up."
Qin Ying still stood straight in front of the desk, with a student-like respectfulness.
He suddenly stood up, the faint soapy scent on his body carrying a sense of oppression, walked in front of her, lowered his head and stared at her, his voice soft:
"But I don't just want to talk about work. I've always wanted to ask you about what happened with Zhao Shunxi, but I couldn't find the right opportunity...Where was Fu Hanzhou at that time?"
Qin Ying took a step back, her eyelashes trembling violently. She quickly glanced at him, with a hint of vigilance and tension on her face:
"Teacher Wei, this is my personal matter. I don't want to talk about this today!"
Wei Zhuolan refused to give in and continued to approach her:
"Qin Ying, he's just an iron-faced machine who can't even protect the person next to him. For a man like him... why would you..."
"Teacher Wei!"
Qin Ying's back hit the filing cabinet, and the wooden door made a dull sound.
It's true that Fu Hanzhou sometimes doesn't care about her, but that's not his intention. She has resentment, but that doesn't mean others can question him at will.
Yesterday, Fu Hanzhou seemed to have lost control and vented his anger on her.
She could sense his uneasiness, all coming from Wei Zhuolan.
Therefore, no matter what her attitude towards Fu Hanzhou is, this is a matter between them and outsiders have no right to interfere.
Her brows furrowed tightly, and her nails dug deep into her palms:
"If Teacher Wei cares about students, he should focus on event planning."
The office fell into silence, so quiet that one could hear the ticking of the wall clock.
Wei Zhuolan stared at her stubborn face and let out a bitter laugh. Qin Ying couldn't see his intentions at all. He was thinking about her.
Why doesn't she understand?
After a long while, he took a deep breath, deliberately slowed down his movements, and picked up the activity plan on the table.
The pen tapped lightly on the document, making a regular "tapping" sound. He slowly pushed it in front of Qin Ying, pressing his fingertips against the cover of the document, but he didn't let go.
"I want to have a good chat with you about the program and procedures for the military-civilian friendship."
"I'll write down any comments or requests Teacher Wei has and complete them with my classmates."
Qin Ying stared at his bony hand and didn't reach out to take it for a long time.
"Okay, give me the program in three days."
Wei Zhuolan briefly explained the requirements and the theme of the activity, and then Qin Ying lowered her head and took notes seriously, without even the shadow of her eyelashes moving.
He suddenly leaned in close, his warm breath brushing against her hair:
"If you have any questions about the arrangements, you can always come to me. After all, as a counselor, it is my job to take good care of the students."
Qin Ying's pen tip trembled, and she finally raised her head:
"Teacher Wei specifically assigned me to be the freshman representative. Was that also out of 'duty'?"
"certainly."
Wei Zhuo took a sip of coffee and looked into her eyes intently:
"Fu Hanzhou can protect you from the wind and rain, but I..."
He leaned forward slightly, and his aura enveloped her again:
"I can let everyone see your brilliance. Wouldn't it be more dazzling standing on the stage of the welcome party than hiding behind him?"
"It's enough for Captain Fu to protect me."
Qin Ying quickly put away her things, the documents making a crisp sound as they collided, and she quickly replied with her head down.
"Is that enough?"
Wei Zhuolan sneered and rapped his knuckles on the table.
"Being followed to the point of being..."
He paused deliberately, looking at her suddenly tensed shoulders:
"The rumors spread throughout the compound. Did he protect your reputation?"
The office fell into deeper silence.
Qin Ying opened her mouth and wanted to say how Fu Hanzhou saved her, but she swallowed the words back.
Even if she told him, he wouldn't believe it, and what man wouldn't care about this? Let Wei Zhuolan misunderstand, and he would look down on her if he misunderstood.
Okay!
Seeing her silence, Wei Zhuolan realized that his words were too harsh.
He turned his face away, took out a velvet box from the drawer in front of him, opened it and handed it to Qin Ying.
Qin Ying looked down and saw a plain silver lily brooch inside, the pearl pistil glowing softly in the sunlight.
"The last gift was not given away, this time..."
He picked up the brooch with his slender fingers and prepared to pin it on Qin Ying's collar, saying:
"This brooch goes really well with the white shirt I wear on stage."
Qin Ying dodged in panic, and the brooch fell to the ground:
"Teacher Wei, please respect yourself."
