Chapter 250 You Will Regret

Qin Ying dug her nails deep into her palm. Wei Zhongchao's signature on the approval form still had the scent of ink.

She had no desire to answer it. She looked at it silently for a moment, raised her eyebrows, and asked coldly:

"Why did your mother do this? Is she taking her anger out on you?"

Wei Zhuoran's pupils suddenly contracted, and he took a half step back, his Adam's apple rolling:

"Qin Ying, I'm saving you!"

Half an hour ago, at the dinner table, Chen Shuyun sipped her soup elegantly and said to Wei Zhongchao nonchalantly, "It's time to investigate Qin Ying." His hand that was picking up the food froze instantly.

Amid the crisp sound of the porcelain spoon hitting the edge of the bowl, he heard his mother continue to say, "Can you play the violin? That doesn't make sense."

Wei Zhongchao did not have any objection, as if he was talking about a commonplace matter.

After asking about the whole story, I found out that this was what happened.

Moreover, the nature of this matter is extremely serious.

Those words pierced his eardrums like icicles, urging him to run forward without caring about his image.

But now, looking at the coldness in Qin Ying's eyes, he didn't know how to clear himself of his mother's interference.

Wei Zhuolan lowered his voice, avoided her gaze, and continued to coax her:

"I'm also giving us a chance!"

Qin Ying had no expression on her face, and her tone was filled with deep indifference:

"Wei Zhuolan, there is no chance between us. I'm married, and I don't have any feelings for you. Please don't stubbornly impose your thoughts on me."

Wei Zhuolan came up to her and said in a hoarse voice:

"But Fu Hanzhou can't protect you, nor can he give you what you want."

"You know what I want?"

Qin Ying smiled sarcastically:

"You don't know either! And I have to fight for what I want myself."

He suddenly grabbed her arm tightly, veins popping out under his skin, and the paranoia in his eyes entangled her tightly:

"Qin Ying, I don't believe you don't feel the love I put into you. You have feelings for me too, but it's just because you're in a military marriage and Fu Hanzhou won't divorce you, right?"

“Let go!”

Qin Ying's back hit the parallel bars hard, and rust fell on her shoulders.

She looked at Wei Zhuolan's distorted face, and in a trance she saw the paranoia surging in his eyes like a tide, completely swallowing up the once gentle university teacher.

Her memory suddenly flashed back to the night of the opening ceremony, which was also a suffocating confinement. The musty smell in the storage room seemed to linger in her nose again, making her stomach cramp.

"No, Wei Zhuolan, I don't like you, and I never will! Don't insist!"

Qin Ying roared loudly.

The school bell rang in the distance. Qin Ying lowered her head and hurriedly packed her piano case, preparing to escape.

Wei Zhuolan, however, approached like a shadow, pinning her against the parallel bars. His voice, mixed with the distant loudspeaker playing "Socialism is Good," became increasingly frantic:

"I turned down my transfer order and became a counselor in this crappy school, just to wait for you to let go of Fu Hanzhou's hand."

His white shirt brushed against the back of her hand, sticking very close to hers, with a salty taste of sweat.

Qin Ying turned her head to avoid the hot breath on her face and pushed him away with such force that the violin case fell over. The violin rolled to the ground and the strings made a harsh sound on the ground.

Wei Zhuolan staggered after being pushed by her, but the paranoia in his eyes became even more intense. He suddenly stepped forward and grabbed her wrist with such force that she cried out in pain:

"You are saying one thing and thinking another. From the day you played my harp and lost your soul, you should have known that I am the one who is most suitable for you!"

Qin Ying frowned in pain and tried to pry his hands apart:

"Wei Zhuolan, let go! You're crazy!"

"I'm crazy!"

Ignoring her struggles, Wei Zhuolan pulled her in front of him, leaned forward slightly, and stared at her intently. Even the loud noise coming from the speaker couldn't cover his almost roaring voice:

"What can Fu Hanzhou give you? The mortality rate is 37%! When the news of his death comes, everyone will say that you are a jinx who brings bad luck to your husband!"

He ignored her struggles and held her tightly in his arms, his warm breath spraying on her head:

"And I can give you a new life...as long as you leave him."

"open!"

Qin Ying kicked and hit him desperately, but still couldn't break free from his embrace. Her voice was obviously trembling:

"What's the difference between you and those who forced me?"

"The difference is that I dare to admit it!"

Wei Zhuoran locked her waist with one hand and stretched the thumb of his other hand to her lips, trying to caress her lips, but she turned her head away.

"Fu Hanzhou tied you up with his life, and I—"

He twisted her chin hard, forcing her to look him in the eye. His Adam's apple rolled heavily, the veins at his shirt collar bulged, and the paranoia in his eyes almost drowned her.

"I will make you choose me willingly."

"I can't! Wei Zhuolan, this is school! Let me go!"

Qin Ying was almost crying, her voice was sobbing and trembling.

Wei Zhuolan seemed not to hear. He placed his hot palm on the back of her neck, his fingertips trembling but fiercely, and whispered in her ear:

"Qin Ying, I will help you get through this difficult time, but in exchange..."

His voice seemed to be bewitching, with a sickly murmur in it:

"Leave him and follow me!"

Before she finished speaking, Qin Ying's knee suddenly hit his lower abdomen. The moment she broke free, she suddenly raised her head and looked directly at Wei Zhuolan:

"I'll say it again! I'm the orphan of a martyr. Not only Commander Fu can testify, but so can Jing Changcheng. Doesn't your mother know this? You know better than I do what her purpose is in using this as an excuse! Shouldn't you go and confront her now?!"
