Chapter 250 You Will Regret

Wei Zhuolan laughed, his laughter filled with despair and brokenness:

"Okay, Qin Ying, you are really ruthless."

He grabbed the approval form and tore it up, and the pieces of paper fell at her feet like snowflakes.

"Then wait and see, how can you survive without Fu Hanzhou!"

He stared at Qin Ying's stubborn profile, a suffocating feeling of frustration surging in his chest.

The autumn wind blew dust past, and he suddenly remembered how she looked on the train when he first met her - her clothes were covered with patches, but she had a cunning, smart and clear look that made his heart beat.

"You'll regret this."

His voice was so hoarse as if it was squeezed out from his throat. He bent down to pick up the largest piece of paper that fell at Qin Ying's feet. The words "Overseas Travel Approval Form" on it made his eyes hurt.

His fingertips unconsciously stroked his father's vigorous signature, and he suddenly realized that he had lost this battle with Fu Hanzhou from the very beginning.

Qin Ying said nothing, simply lowering her head to pack up her violin. The clinking of the metal buckles on the violin case was particularly harsh in the silent playground. Wei Zhuolan looked at her thin back and suddenly reached out to grab her wrist.

"At tomorrow's military parade, as soon as you step off the stage, you will be taken away for questioning."

He paused, his Adam's apple rolling with difficulty:

"This is a trap set by my mother and the Security Department. Even if Fu Hanzhou were here, he might not be able to protect you."

Qin Ying turned around abruptly, the autumn sun falling into her eyes, reflecting the tiny glint of water:

"So you want me to run away with you? Leave like a fugitive?"

"It's better than being slaughtered here!"

Wei Zhuolan growled uncontrollably, but when he released his hand, he suddenly laughed, his shoulders shaking with laughter.

"Forget it, you are as stubborn as Fu Hanzhou, both of you are willing to gamble with your life."

He bent down and picked up the torn pieces of paper one by one, and crumpled them into a tight ball.

"I will watch you and see how you struggle in this muddy water."

Watching Wei Zhuolan's figure disappear at the end of the playground, Qin Ying slumped on the steps.

Faint sounds came from the teaching building in the distance. She remembered Fu Hanzhou's fiery heartbeat in his chest before he left, and her nails dug deep into her palms.

She would not go with him, even if the final price was unbearable.
