Chapter 65 Luck strikes again, destiny is sealed.

Xu Qingqing looked at the left hand that Huang Yao had chosen and waved it in front of her.

Are you sure?

Huang Yao hesitated, unsure if she was sure. Seeing her dawdling and not confirming, Xu Qingqing raised her right hand and said, "Look at you dawdling like this, there are no pebbles on this one."

Huang Yao spat out the hay, and this time without hesitation, immediately pointed to Xu Qingqing's left hand: "I choose this one."

Xu Qingqing: "..."

Seeing that Xu Qingqing didn't speak, Huang Yao assumed she had guessed correctly. She breathed a sigh of relief, but also felt a little smug.

Xu Qingqing really thought she was a fool. She would only choose the right hand that Xu Qingqing mentioned, hoping to trick her. Xu Qingqing would never be so kind. This was clearly a trap, and she wouldn't fall for it.

Xu Qingqing smiled and slowly opened her right hand, a small pebble lying quietly in her palm.

Huang Yao looked smug, but the next second she couldn't laugh anymore. Xu Qingqing opened her other hand, and a pebble appeared inside.

"Two! How can there be two? Didn't you say that only one of your hands has one? You're playing me!" Huang Yao immediately screamed and accused Xu Qingqing of tricking her.

Xu Qingqing denied it: "I'm not kidding you. These two pebbles are actually one pebble, just broken in two. I felt it was too uncomfortable to hold with one hand, and it hurt my palm, so I used both hands. You can understand that, right?" Seeing that she didn't believe her, Xu Qingqing put the pebble in front of her and put it back together in front of her.

Huang Yao looked at the two pebbles that fit together perfectly, her last hope completely shattered. She muttered to herself, "How could it be such a coincidence that the pebble broke?"

Xu Qingqing threw away the stones, clapped her hands, and kept her merits and fame hidden.

Then, to Huang Yao's horrified gaze, he raised his fist.

late at night.

A slender figure appeared in the steel plant dormitory area, walked to a row of willow trees, glanced around, took something out of his pocket, stuffed it into a crevice in one of the willow trees, and then quickly disappeared into the night.

Xu Qingqing hummed a song, tied a flashlight to the front of the handlebars, glanced back at the miserable-looking Factory Director Li, and was in a very good mood.

Factory Director Li stared blankly into the dark night, feeling like crying. So, the interest Xu Qingqing mentioned was actually a beating!

Seeing that he didn't react, Xu Qingqing poked him with a twig. Director Li was too tired to move and let her poke him.

Xu Qingqing: "Hey, did you faint? Why aren't you responding?"

Factory Director Li closed his eyes and pretended to be dead, thinking that even if he could scare her, it would make him feel better. But after waiting for a long time, the branch poked him more and more aggressively, eventually poking his face.

Seeing the branch rising from his chin, almost poking his nostrils, Director Li could no longer bear it. He immediately sat up, glaring angrily at Xu Qingqing as she pointed at the branch in her hand:

"You've gone too far! You actually poked me with such a thick branch!"

Xu Qingqing followed his gaze, looked at the branch in her hand, and chuckled dryly, "Haha, it does seem to be a little bit thick."

Seeing the increasingly accusatory look in Director Li's eyes, Xu Qingqing gradually lost her smile and then threw it forcefully in one direction.

The branch traced an arc, passed through the dormitory area, and finally struck a figure hard on the back of the head.

The figure groaned in pain, then touched the back of its head and felt a warm, wet patch. It swayed twice and fell forward.

The screams startled everyone in the dormitory area, instantly waking them up. They put on their coats, grabbed oil lamps, and went to see what was going on.

Bo Jingran lay in bed unable to sleep, waiting for Xu Qingqing. Hearing screams from not far away, he subconsciously thought some unlucky guy was courting death.

He then realized something was wrong and quickly got out of bed and ran to the scene. His assigned dormitory was very close to the river in front of it, and he arrived there earlier than the others. There was only one middle-aged man lying on the ground, and no one else.

Bo Jingran looked around but didn't find Xu Qingqing. Instead, he found a bloodstained tree branch next to the middle-aged man.

The others arrived one after another, and upon seeing the middle-aged man, they exclaimed, "Isn't that Old Ji!"

"Yes, Old Ji is such an honest man, how could he have been so cruelly attacked?"

"Look, the back of his head looks like it's broken. Can this person still live?"

"What are you still saying? Call the police and get him to the hospital!" someone shouted.

Upon hearing his words, the others quickly went to call the police, and some even went back to find a stretcher to take Lao Ji to the hospital.

After a while, someone brought a stretcher. Several people walked to Lao Ji's side, lifted his body and placed it on the stretcher. As they moved, a small piece of paper fell from Lao Ji's hand.

The others were anxious to take Lao Ji to the hospital and didn't notice, only Bo Jingran, who was standing to the side, noticed and went over to pick it up.

At this moment, Xu Qingqing and Factory Director Li finally arrived. They rushed over there after hearing the scream.

Xu Qingqing rode her bicycle with the 200-pound Factory Director Li on her back, gritting her teeth and pedaling until her legs almost cramped, before finally arriving.

Factory Director Li jumped out of the car and rushed into the crowd. Xu Qingqing rolled her eyes at him, parked the car, and followed him into the crowd, quickly squeezing to the front.

Someone spotted Factory Director Li, immediately explained the situation to him, and pointed to the tree branch that had just fallen to the ground:

"Director Li, look, the murderer is the one who injured Old Ji with this tree branch."

Factory Director Li stepped forward to take a look, and what he saw shocked him – it was the very same branch that Xu Qingqing had poked at him!

Xu Qingqing also realized that it was the branch she had thrown. When she saw the bloodstains on it, she gasped. Could she have killed someone?

He turned to look at Director Li and found that he was also looking at him. The two looked at each other in silence.

Xu Qingqing had a headache. That unlucky guy was out here late at night instead of sleeping, and now he's dragged her into this mess.

Bo Jingran walked over to Xu Qingqing and noticed her pale face. He leaned closer and whispered, "Wife, the person you hit tonight wasn't him, was it?"

Xu Qingqing replied irritably, "Are you blind? I never hit people on the head. I want physical pain, not headache."

After saying that, he looked around and whispered in his ear, "But I threw the branches on the ground."

"Who knew this guy would stay up all night and wander around here, getting hit by the branch I threw."

After listening to Xu Qingqing's explanation, Bo Jingran frowned. Thinking of the small note that had fallen from Lao Ji's hand, he took it out, opened it, and looked at its contents.

Xu Qingqing curiously leaned forward to look with him. The next second, her smile widened, marveling at her incredible luck. Last time it was that unlucky guy in the dark, and this time it's this unlucky guy again. She wondered which unlucky guy would be so lucky next time.

Factory Director Li arranged for someone to take Lao Ji to the hospital, and instructed the others not to talk about it when they got back, and to keep their mouths shut. Only then did he turn around to look for Xu Qingqing, and then he noticed the little interaction between the two.
