Chapter 3 Stealing tires?
Rong Huan was stunned when she heard what he said, and her original confidence was wrapped in powerlessness.
That’s right, why should people trust her?
But what else could she do? She had to go on without even having a chance to catch her breath after traveling through time.
The wind blew through the streets. She felt cold and hungry. Thinking of her warm little home in her last life, tears welled up in her eyes unconsciously.
Jason looked at Rong Huan coldly as she stood there, thinking that she was still a child after all, and would probably run away if scared.
Just as he was about to walk past her, he heard a very low sob.
Jason stopped and looked over in disbelief, and found that the little girl who was so angry just now was already crying silently.
Jason Todd had never had any experience with children in his teenage life.
He himself was just a teenager, and it was good enough for him not to cry when facing this damn life. But when he saw Rong Huan's red face from crying, he still gave in.
"Hey, you... stop crying. I won't sell you out. You should go home quickly. Gotan is not a safe place."
Rong Huan choked up and held her stomach as she spoke
"But I'm so hungry. I haven't eaten for a day. My knees hurt. I haven't done anything wrong. Why does it have to be me?"
Seeing that Rong Huan was getting more and more aggrieved, she was about to start crying again.
Jason hurriedly grabbed her, felt the child trembling, and searched his mind for words of comfort.
"Okay, stop crying. I'll take you to find something to eat."
Rong Huan looked at Jason's awkward face. He clearly cared about her, yet he had to say it in a fierce tone.
She suddenly thought that the boy was quite cute and finally burst into laughter.
"You said you would take me to find something to eat. You can't go back on your word."
Jason looked at Rong Huan's smiling face, nodded, then took her hand and walked forward.
Rong Huan let him pull her, but her mouth was still busy.
"I don't know your name yet. My name is Rong Huan, Rong means easy, Huan means welcome."
"My name is Jason Todd and I also live in Crime Alley,"
He paused after saying this.
"I've never seen your last name before. Are you from the flower-growing family?"
Rong Huan looked at Jason's curious eyes and nodded.
"I am mixed race, my mother is a gardener, I was born in Crime Alley, my father left me and I lived alone."
I obviously didn't ask so many questions, Jason thought. This little girl has no guard at all. I don't know how she survived.
Rong Huan followed Jason for a long time, her legs became weak and she could only rely on Jason to move.
Jason Todd finally arrived at the place late at night with this little burden. Rong Huan looked at the empty street and seriously suspected that Jason was lying.
She stared at Jason as if he was some kind of traitor. Jason met her murderous gaze and pointed at the empty alley.
"Wait, when someone passes by here, we will have money to buy food."
Oh my god, this meal has to be snatched away! Rong Huan wailed in her heart.
But in this situation, all we can do is wait. Who cares about morality if they are about to starve to death?
So the two kids found a sheltered spot next to the trash can and started watching.
I don't know how long I waited, Rong Huan had already fallen asleep, and suddenly Jason woke her up and whispered
"Wake up, we are alive."
Rong Huan suddenly woke up. Hunger awakened her desire to survive. She moved her stiff legs, intending to catch the "target" off guard when he appeared.
But after waiting for a long time, no one showed up. Just when she was about to ask, she saw Jason skillfully take out a stick-like object from his pocket.
With the help of moonlight, Rong Huan saw clearly that it was a wrench!
Rong Huan:......?
Rong Huan felt something was not right. How could things turn out like this?
She just wanted to cling to the man in front of her, please him, and then infiltrate the enemy to achieve her own ambitions.
But what is the situation now?
Jason looked at Rong Huan standing there and pulled her to the entrance of the alley. Only then did she see clearly that there was a car parked there.
This car has no license plate, but its lines are smooth. Looking through the windshield, you can see that the internal structure is complex and there are many buttons.
Rong Huan discovered that there was no door on the side of the car, only a seam on the top that looked like a door.
While she was still studying the black car that was obviously worth a fortune, Jason next to her had already started to pry open the tire.
Rong Huan looked at the boy in front of him in shock, not knowing whether to praise him for his courage or his skill. Jason turned around and looked at the boy, impatiently speaking
"What are you standing there for? Come and help me. Don't you want to eat?"
