Chapter 43 Rescue Operation Part 2

The children looked at Nightwing and Red Hood in uniform with fear, and huddled together in a corner.

Nightwing softened his voice and tried to look friendly.

"Hey, don't be afraid, we are here to save you, little Wing, don't have a stern face, smile!"

Red Hood pulled the corner of his mouth apart, revealing a smile that was uglier than crying.

Many of the imprisoned children are from Crime Alley. They know Red Hood, who is the patron saint of Crime Alley.

The older kids pointed at Red Hood and said to the younger ones,

"That's Red Hood! He's a good guy and he's here to save us!"

When the children heard this, they all looked at Red Hood with expectant expressions. Nightwing was a little jealous because he was obviously more handsome!

The room suddenly became cheerful, except for a little boy in the corner. He saw the little girl in the Red Hood's arms and thought it was a ghost coming back to take his life. He was so scared that he almost peed his pants.

He leaned back trembling, as if there was some ferocious beast ahead. At this time, Nightwing was already calling on the children to evacuate.

Red Hood saw that there was still one left and planned to take him out, but after thinking it over, he forced a smile and walked towards him.

In the boy's eyes, the strange man in the tight red uniform approached him with a grim smile, and the child in his arms had the same ill intentions.

The over-stimulated child rushed out with a cry, his face full of tears.

"Help! Someone is eating children!"

Soon many thugs with sticks rushed out from the stairwell. Red Hood took two steps and knocked down the first one with a punch out of inertia. Then he kicked out and squatted, dodging while not forgetting to shoot hidden arrows.

He drew the big knife from his back, and spun the blade in his hand, drawing a beautiful arc. Wherever he went, no grass grew and lay down.

Red Hood didn't take such a small fry seriously at all. He glanced over and saw a man holding a stick walking towards the child in the corner.

His eyes were red and he shouted and rushed over.

But he had walked too far just now, and even if he tried his best, he was still some distance away. Rong Huan raised his head and waited obediently, not realizing that he was already in danger.

At the critical moment, a bat dart flew towards the man in time, and the anesthetic took effect immediately. He struggled twice and fell to the ground.

Rong Huan heard the noise and just as she was about to speak, she fell into a hot embrace. She was a little dazed, and a deep voice rang in her ears.

Jason Todd hugged the little girl tightly, not sure whether he was talking to her or to himself.

Rong Huan didn't understand what was going on, so she just stayed there and waited until Jason calmed down and picked her up before asking,

"You finished so quickly?"

Jason hummed, and then followed Dick when he saw him gesture to indicate that all the children had evacuated.

The little bats brought all the children to the pier exit, and Red Robin contacted Chief Gordon of the police station, who brought them to the pier to meet them.

Seeing the police coming, the children felt safe and followed them back to the police station, where their parents had been waiting anxiously.

Batman, who was still in the house, successfully crouched down the Penguin Man, beat him up, grabbed his suit tie, and asked in a hoarse voice,

"Who are you dealing with? Where are the children being sent?"

The penguin man's face, which had not yet fully healed and was getting even more swollen, squeezed out an "innocent" expression, which was eye-catching.

"I really don't know. Bat, go ask the Scarecrow. He is inside."

The Penguin Man felt no guilt for betraying his teammates; he just wanted to get rid of this Grim Reaper as soon as possible.

Batman stared into the Penguin Man's eyes and found that his eyes were squeezed so tightly that he could hardly see. He knocked the Penguin Man to the ground and then walked deeper into the corridor.

The Penguin Man saw Batman walking away, and felt like running away, dragging his falling-apart body. It is better to die with a friend than to die with a poor friend. If he doesn't run away now, he'd be a fool!

Red Robin and Robin rushed over from another direction to join Batman. As the three of them walked into the room, they heard Scarecrow's shrill laughter.

"Hahahaha bat, try my newly developed poison gas! You are the first experimenter."

Immediately thereafter, there was a loud bang, and the bomb containing poison gas exploded. The green poison gas instantly filled the entire room and continued to surge outward.

Batman reacted quickly and shouted,

"withdraw!"

Red Robin and Robin ran through the corridor quickly, covering their noses as best they could, with Batman following behind.

Rong Huan was just about to ask Jason where the other three had gone when there was a sudden explosion not far away, with billowing green smoke pouring out.

Seeing the poisonous gas coming towards this side, Nightwing quickly ordered the remaining police officers to evacuate, and then rushed in to look for Bruce and the others.

Jason didn't say anything. The voice of Dick on the connector on his waist was a little distorted.

"Little Wing, we found them, east of the pier!"

Rong Huan couldn't help but pull Jason's collar, wanting him to hurry over there. Jason looked at the anxious little girl with a sour tone, but his feet were honest.

"Why don't you seem that worried about me?"

Rong Huan was speechless. It was already such a big time and he was still thinking about this!

"I would also be worried if you got hurt."

Jason was satisfied with her answer and moved faster, soon reaching the east side of the pier.

Nightwing was holding Red Robin and saw Red Hood shouting from a distance,

"Little Wing, come and help, Xiaohong and the others are injured!"

When Red Hood got closer, he found that there were bloodstains on the clothes of the three people, especially Red Robin and Batman. The blood seeped out and dyed their uniforms red.

The little girl became even more anxious when she heard Nightwing's shout, tears welled up in her eyes and she twisted her body to get down to the ground.

Jason had no choice but to put her down and find the right direction for her, watching Rong Huan run towards Batman.

Bruce forced himself to endure the dizziness brought by the poison gas. He was the closest to the explosion. Red Robin protected Robin, and the two of them took most of the impact.

If Nightwing hadn't come to support them, the three of them would have died here today.

Rong Huan took big steps and soon landed on Bruce's legs. She wanted to ask Daddy how he was doing, but when she raised her hand she felt wet liquid.

She put her hand under her nose, the smell of blood rushed into her nose, and Rong Huan's tears flowed down. She called her system in her heart,
