Chapter Ninety-Two: Her fists were itching; she wanted to punch someone.

"I came to Daye with my brother this time mainly to choose a consort. Who do you think is suitable to be my consort?" Atuo Jianghua asked earnestly.

Wen Nong Nong's heart skipped a beat, and she thought that the Emperor would be a good choice, but when she thought of the complicated relationship between him and Wen Ruyi, she gave up the idea. After all, Jiang Hua was not a bad girl, so why push her into a fire pit?

"I can't say for sure, Princess, you should see for yourself."

After looking around, A Tuo Jiang Hua's gaze settled on Gu Linchao, and her eyes suddenly lit up. "I've taken a liking to him."

Wen Nongnong's face darkened. "He's my husband. You've taken a fancy to him? Do you want to become his concubine?" What to do? Her fists were itching to punch someone again.

A Tuo Jianghua, with a strong will to survive, said, "Since he's your husband, then forget it." She immediately turned her gaze away and searched for her next prey.

Finally, her gaze fell on Gu Heng.

After observing for a moment, her face suddenly flushed, she bit her lip, and said to Wen Nongnong, "I'll go first."

Seeing her like this, Wen Nongnong thought to herself, "Oh no, could Jiang Hua really have fallen for Gu Heng?"

Before she could say anything, Atuo Jianghua had already returned to her seat and was whispering something to Atuo Qingye.

Atuo Qingye glanced in Gu Heng's direction and nodded.

A smile immediately bloomed on Atuo Jianghua's face.

Wen Nongnong rubbed her forehead, thinking to herself, "What a mess."

Just as she was about to return to her seat, Empress Dowager Guo spoke up, "The Regent's Consort's performance today truly amazed me. You have restored face for our great cause and deserve a generous reward." She then turned to Gu Heng, "Your Majesty, what do you think should be rewarded with?"

Gu Heng was still thinking about Wen Ruyi's matter. Upon hearing this, he forced himself to stay alert and said, "Your Majesty, please make the decision." He paused and then added, "Although it was my aunt who won this time, Princess Atuo also contributed and deserves to be rewarded. Your Majesty, please reward her as well."

"Your Majesty is right. I was short-sighted. Princess Atuo should also be rewarded." Empress Dowager Guo looked like she hadn't thought things through, then turned to Wen Nongnong and asked with a smile, "What kind of reward does Nongnong want?"

Wen Nongnong thought to herself, "Of course it's gold and silver!" But she couldn't say it directly. She rolled her eyes and said humbly, "Your Majesty, I dare not take credit for this. There's no need for Your Majesty to reward me. Princess Atuo, on the other hand, came from afar and just competed with me. She contributed a lot. Your Majesty, please reward her."

Empress Dowager Guo paused for a moment, then said, "I will naturally not miss out on Princess Atuo's reward. You have no shortage of gold and silver, so how about this, I will bestow upon you a set of Buddhist scriptures."

Wen Nongnong was depressed and thought to herself, "It would have been better not to give it to anyone. Who would want that worthless Buddhist scripture?"

Empress Dowager Guo had a kind and benevolent appearance, but she always felt that she didn't have any good intentions.

She only mentioned the reward to her, but didn't mention Atuo Jianghua, who was a princess of the Hui region, at all. It seemed like she only remembered her after Gu Heng reminded her, which made me feel like it was intentional.

"Thank you for your kindness, Your Majesty. I will study it carefully." She curtsied and returned to her seat.

Empress Dowager Guo narrowed her eyes as she watched her retreating figure.

Unexpectedly, this Wen Nongnong is not only beautiful, but also has a sharp tongue and martial arts skills.

Looking at the two sitting together, Empress Dowager Guo clenched the handkerchief in her hand.

As soon as Wen Nongnong sat down, Wang Houde eagerly handed her a handkerchief, saying, "Your Majesty, you've worked hard. Please wipe your sweat."

"Thank you very much, Eunuch Wang," Wen Nongnong said gratefully.
