Chapter 145 Slapped by a Python, Suffering Internal Injuries

"Flower..."

"What, you found ginseng again?" Xia Hua turned to look at her. If she found it again, she would really doubt her luck. She wasn't blind, so why hadn't she seen it before?

An Shuyi shook her head. "No, I meant there was a hole there. I saw something in the hole just now." The hole wasn't big; it looked more like a rabbit's burrow, but it didn't quite look like one.

She felt something was watching her, which made her feel a chill down her spine, so she called out to Huahua.

Xia Hua turned her head and looked at the cave she was talking about. "It looks like a rabbit hole. You probably saw a rabbit."

"It can't be a rabbit. You know my intuition is very accurate. There must be something dangerous in here. It's like, like the feeling of that thing crawling all over my body, cold and eerie."

After hearing what she said, Xia Hua no longer hesitated. She took down the bow and arrow, wrapped a piece of cloth around one end of the arrow, put oil in it, and said, "Light it."

After An Shuyi lit the arrow with a lighter, she pulled hard on the bowstring, and the arrow flew forward and into the cave.

roar

Hearing the shout, Xia Hua turned around. "If you're scared, stay away. I'll handle it." Even without looking, she knew how much Shu Shu's legs were shaking.

An Shuyi didn't try to be brave. She ran away and hid behind a tree, peeking out with her head out to watch the distance. Soon, the cave was overturned, and a huge python crawled out. It looked to be over 30 centimeters thick and at least five or six meters long. The huge snake raised its head and flicked its tongue.

The arrow I just shot is still stuck in the python's body. It seems either the snake's skin wasn't thick enough, or Xia Hua's shot was too forceful. I never expected there to be such a large python in this cave. I wonder how old it is. It must have been eating a lot of good food.

Although this place is some distance from their Peach Blossom Village, it wouldn't take the snake long to get there. It's fortunate that it was discovered now. If it had lived a few more years, who knows how big it would have grown, and the village would have been in great danger.

Looking at the cave behind them, they didn't know if there were any other snakes inside. If there were, they would have to kill them all and blow up the cave.

While she was thinking, Xia Hua didn't watch. Instead, she nocked an arrow and shot it towards the python's head, but it was dodged. She drew several arrows, but the same thing happened. Instead, she angered the python, and it turned towards her.

Seeing this, An Shuyi disregarded her fear and said, "Huahua, I'll distract it. You cut its vital spot." She then picked up a bow and arrow, thinking that if the head couldn't be shot, she would shoot its body.

call out

The arrow flew out with force, but it didn't hit anything and was easily dodged. Xia Hua also took out her broadsword and slashed at the python. An Shuyi hurriedly took out three arrows and shot them all out at once. Although one arrow was dodged, the remaining two arrows hit the python.

Seeing the python howling in pain, Xia Hua leaped up, plunging her broadsword directly into the python's vital spot. She then stepped onto the python's body, and as the python's tail tried to coil around her, An Shuyi forcefully fired three arrows.

Without even checking if the arrows had hit their mark, he continued to fire all the remaining arrows. Only after he ran out of arrows did he carry his broadsword and charge forward.

Snap

An Shuyi was hit by the suddenly appearing tail and flew out the next second, only stopping when she crashed into a tree. She spat out a mouthful of blood and, seeing the approaching snake head, hurriedly rolled to the side. Only after she was safe did she get up, and a large knife reappeared in her hand.

Seeing the python without a single arrow on it, she burst into tears, sobbing, "Huahua, I'm scared." She then took a bomb from the warehouse, a lighter appeared, lit it, and threw it at the python.

Xia Hua saw her coming and wanted to tell her not to come any closer, as the python was already seriously injured and she could kill it. Before she could even speak, she saw her being slapped away. She was surprised to find that there was another python. Hearing that she was scared, she hurriedly killed the injured python and tried to go over. As soon as she got there, she saw something flying towards the python and ran away in fright, then lay down on the ground.

bang

A tremendous sound came, and when they looked up again, the python had been blown into several pieces, turning into mangled flesh, pieces here and there. Seeing that An Shuyi was still lying on the ground, Xia Hua ran over and helped her up. Although Shuyi wasn't hit by the blast, she was shaken by the shockwave.

"Shushu?" He gently patted her face and wiped the blood from her mouth.

"Cough cough," An Shuyi saw her, "Waaah, Huahua, you scared me to death! You didn't say there were two!" The python was so close to her, she could feel it could swallow her whole.

"I didn't know there were two. Don't worry, that python was blown to pieces by you, it's dead beyond any doubt. Are you injured anywhere?" She checked you over and, apart from a little blood at the corner of your mouth, didn't see any other bite marks. She guessed that you were hit by its tail and then shocked by the bomb.

An Shuyi rubbed her chest. "My chest was hit by the python's tail, and I was also shaken by the aftershock of the bomb. It didn't hurt anywhere else, so don't worry, it doesn't hurt much."

If she had known there was another python, she would have waited until it was safe before rushing over. Now look what happened, she was slapped away, and so far away at that.

Xia Hua helped her up and secretly breathed a sigh of relief. "It's good that you're alright. I'll go put that python into the warehouse and then check if there are any other pythons in the cave. This python looks like a pair. If they have offspring, we have to kill them all, otherwise they'll only cause trouble if left alive."

“I’ll go with you. I have two more bombs here. If there are any, I’ll blow them all up.” She had secretly made the bombs when she suspected her sons would harm them.

Although she didn't use it on her sons, it would be good to use it on the python. A python that big could be blown into several pieces. If her sons dared to harm them, she would blow them all up with a single bomb.

"No need, you wait here. I'll call you if anything happens." Xia Hua refused. Although she didn't see any external injuries, her internal organs must be damaged. If there were still pythons, Shu Shu would definitely help, and it would be bad if they got involved again.

"I'll go with you. Don't worry, I'm not afraid of snakes anymore." She was worried about Huahua going alone; she was sure there were still pythons in that cave.

Seeing her insistence, Xia Hua had no choice but to nod, "Alright then," and then went over and threw the python into the warehouse.

"Huahua, are you still going to take this python back? Just leave it here," An Shuyi said tremblingly.

"Didn't you just say you weren't afraid? It's such a waste to leave it here. Taking it back would at least be meat." Saying this, she ignored her. Although she could do without the snake, she felt uncomfortable and wanted to skin it and eat its flesh to vent her anger.
