Chapter 19 Mother Tree Big Red Robe

This body is forty years old, which is incomparable to the bodies of modern twenty-somethings, especially since it is often overworked, making it look even older.

“You too,” Xia Hua suddenly whispered in her ear, “Let’s go out for a walk tonight and give you some extra nutrition.”

An Shuyi nodded, her eyes shining. In the past few days, apart from eating a steamed bun and an egg pancake, she had only eaten steamed bread or vegetable porridge. She couldn't find a suitable opportunity to sneak a bite.

Seeing that she was craving something, Xia Hua peeled a White Rabbit milk candy and put it in her mouth, then ate one herself. Her little grandson was still small, so she didn't dare to feed him and instead gave him a biscuit.

"Eat one when you're hungry. Don't be stingy. No one can see you putting it in your mouth." After Xia Hua finished speaking, she used her sleeve to cover herself and handed her a bag of milk candies.

"Mmm!" An Shuyi nodded and put the things in the warehouse.

She didn't go back at noon either. The two of them ate dry food together, mixed grain steamed buns. Although they were a bit dry, they could swallow them with water.

When they stopped to rest and eat in the evening, An Shuyi ran back to her carriage, tore off a piece of bright red fabric and two pieces of light blue fabric, and then put them together.

He picked up his two sets of gray fabric and went to his two daughters-in-law. "Eldest daughter-in-law, second daughter-in-law, I have a few sets of clothes that need to be made. Make them for me, and I'll give each of you a piece of fabric to make a set of clothes after they're done."

Zhao and Wu looked at their mother-in-law in surprise, hardly believing it was true. "Mother, is what you're saying true?"

An Shuyi glared at her, "Do you think I lie? Tomorrow, you all better hurry up and finish in the carriage. After I finish mine, there are others to do too, understand?"

"Yes, Mother!"

Zhao took the fabric and asked, "Mother, can you make me a bright red dress?" She liked that color.

“Okay,” An Shuyi nodded. “Ms. Wu, what color do you want?”

“Mother, I’m the same as my sister-in-law, right?” Wu said happily.

An Shuyi glanced at her; it was the first time she had ever seen Wu smile, and it was rather eerie.

"Once dinner is ready, you can eat first. Focus on those steamed buns, or you won't be able to chew them. Don't wait for me, I don't have much of an appetite. I'll go for a walk with your Aunt Xia later."

"Mother, are you feeling unwell? Should we call Doctor Liu to take a look?" Xiao Wu, who was tending the fire nearby, asked worriedly.

"Mother is fine, she just doesn't want to eat. You all eat," she said, returning to the carriage and carrying the torn pieces of cloth to find Huahua.

"Xiao Lan, these two pieces of fabric belong to your mother-in-law, but this crimson one is yours. Take it." After saying this, An Shuyi left with Xia Hua.

"Huahua, let's go that way and see if there are any precious saplings." Although she still had more than two hundred taels of silver in the trading system, she was even more eager to save more silver as the weather got hotter.

Moreover, she can only buy fifteen kinds of items in the trading system right now. She guesses that she can sell more saplings and buy more items as she accumulates more silver.

Xia Hua nodded and started helping her find saplings. When she saw pretty flowers, she would ask her to come over and see if they were precious. Although it wasn't too dark, it wasn't as bright as daytime either, so she bought two flashlights from the mall.

Before long, they found several saplings and sold them for two taels of silver.

"Shushu, come and see if these flowers can be sold," Xia Hua called out, looking at the small flowers in front of her.

“Huahua, wait a moment,” An Shuyi replied, placing her hand on the pile of trees in front of her. The mother tree, Da Hong Pao, was worth 1,500 taels.

"Holy crap, Huahua, come quick, it's on!"

Xia Hua rushed over, "What's wrong?"

An Shuyi excitedly grabbed her to prevent herself from falling, "Huahua, a big red robe, 1,500 taels, more expensive than that golden orchid, isn't this a windfall?"

She was just thinking that if the trees could be sold, the flowers could be sold, and the tea could definitely be sold too, especially Da Hong Pao.

Xia Hua pointed to the unrecognizable pile of hay, "This thing is Da Hong Pao? I just don't believe it! But whatever, as long as it can be sold."

“Go take a look over there. I think that flower looks a bit like an orchid, but I’m not sure. Go and see, I’m digging for Da Hong Pao here.”

"Okay, I'll be right back." An Shuyi hurried over, walked to where Xia Hua had been, and placed her hand on the small flower. "Clivia, six hundred taels."

"Hua Hua, you've made another fortune."

Xia Hua nodded calmly, "I know, hurry up and finish digging and come dig with me, otherwise someone will come looking for us later."

"Coming right away!" An Shuyi squatted down and started digging with the small hoe in her hand. This was something Hua Hua had bought in her online store. Once it was dug up, she would sell it directly, and her balance would become 892 taels.

Then she ran over to dig up Da Hong Pao tea, but this time she didn't sell it. Instead, she put it in the warehouse. Now that she had money to use, she would keep the Da Hong Pao tea. It was a rare item that money couldn't buy.

Xia Hua took out a bottle of water, and the two washed their hands. Then she set out a folding table and two small stools. Although the ground was uneven, it was still big enough to fit them. She had bought a roast chicken, a braised duck, and some sausages from the mall. She didn't have any cooked rice, so she only took a few steamed buns.

"Shushu, hurry up and eat, or someone will come looking for us later."

She found that the items in this shopping mall were similar to those in a supermarket. They had all kinds of cooked food, but only grilled, sauced, and braised dishes. They didn't have anything else. They had raw rice, but not cooked rice. They also had seafood and dried goods, and especially snacks, which had a huge variety.

An Shuyi sat down. "Okay, you eat too!" she said, tearing off a chicken leg for her before starting to eat.

After the two had eaten and drunk their fill, Xia Hua put the food in the warehouse, and the two hurriedly went to their resting place. Just as they arrived, their son came to find them as if by prior arrangement.

The eldest son rushed over and said, "Mom, where did you and Aunt go? If you want to go for a walk so late, call us along. That way, if anything happens, we'll be there for you!"

"Your aunt and I are just going a little further away, don't worry. Let's go back. Have you eaten yet?" An Shuyi and Xia Hua walked ahead.

"I've already eaten, and I've prepared the things you asked me to prepare."

“Okay, bring me the things,” An Shuyi turned her head, “Huahua, you should rest early, I’ll take Xiao Wu to see Doctor Liu.”

Go!

An Shuyi took Xiao Wu to find Doctor Liu, who seemed to know they were coming and was already waiting there. Everything went smoothly after that. Xiao Wu served tea, and that was how the master was accepted.

"Dr. Liu, everyone is out here and we didn't prepare any gifts. We're sorry to trouble you, sir," An Shuyi said, and then had Xiao Wu present the gifts.

Doctor Liu declined, saying, "There's no need for this gift. I've already drunk Xiao Wu's tea; he's my apprentice, and I'll teach him diligently from now on."

"Don't be so polite, it's not an expensive gift."

“Alright, then I’ll accept it. I’ll have Xiao Wu come over tomorrow night when I’m resting,” Doctor Liu said, handing the package to his son.
