"Mother!" Da Shi spotted his elderly mother in the crowd.
"Why are you back?"
Looking at her tall and strong son, Aunt Da Shi burst into tears instantly.
"A hurricane is coming soon, and we've been assigned to different villages to help repair irrigation ditches and reinforce roofs." Seeing the villagers still gathered there chatting, Da Shi added, "Mother, why aren't you harvesting the rapeseed yet?"
"You really want to take it?"
Nearly a year of arduous training transformed the once impoverished man into a resolute, courageous, and brave soldier.
“Take it! The county government said they wouldn’t take it if the rapeseed had been soaked in water.”
Seeing that everyone remained unmoved, Da Shi's expression turned solemn, and he spoke with a firm and forceful tone.

Daishi rolled his eyes at him. "What's our mission?"
"Emergency shelters will be set up."
"Then why don't we get moving?"
"yes."
The group continued towards a higher area at the end of the village, looking for a flat place to build a temporary shelter. After that, they would build a canal to bring in water.
Lin Yinan and Yun Er traveled along the mountain road and finally arrived at the salt field in the middle of the night.

Yun Er wiped the sweat from his face and announced loudly, "It's me, Yun Er!"
