Chapter 335 Pure and Elegant

He Tiantian had the same idea; after seeing the children, they would have much more free time.

The area around the academy entrance was quite small, and they considered locations within a radius of about 500 meters. After walking around and asking many residents, they finally settled on a small shop.

This little shop has a pretty good location, only about 200 meters from the academy. There's only one other shop next door that sells things like handkerchiefs and headscarves that girls like.

On the other side of the shops are the residential houses, stretching out in rows as far as the eye can see.

Hong Erniang also felt that this small shop of more than ten square meters was quite in line with her expectations. Standing at the door, Hong Erniang nodded with great satisfaction.

"I think it's pretty good, what do you think, sister?"

He Tiantian also thought it was alright, "I just don't know how much it costs, let's ask around."

The shop door was locked, and it was such a small place that probably no one lived there. So, I guess I'll have to knock on the door of the neighbor's house to see what's going on.

Hong Erniang stepped forward and knocked on the door next door. After a short while, a woman's voice came from inside.

"Who is it?" Then came the sound of the old wooden door being opened. Luo thought it was someone knocking on the door in broad daylight, but when she opened the door, she saw two familiar figures.

Luo thought she was seeing things, but after she realized what was happening, she crossed her arms and stood on the threshold, looking down at He Tiantian and Hong Erniang.

Their words were incredibly sharp and sarcastic: "Oh, who was knocking on the door? It's you. So, what brings you here?"

He Tiantian and Hong Erniang exchanged a glance, feeling somewhat awkward.

What a small world! Of all the bad luck, we ran into this greedy Mr. Luo.

The last time the two clashed was still fresh in our minds.

"Um, I just wanted to ask where the owner of the house next door is?" Hong Erniang asked with certainty.

There were disagreements, but that didn't stop her from asking questions.

Luo glanced at the small wooden house next to her, a hint of doubt in her eyes.

"Why are you asking this?" Mrs. Luo thought for a moment, then asked incredulously, "Do you mean you want to rent this shop?!"

He Tiantian and Hong Erniang were wondering why Luo Shi was reacting so strongly. Just as they were speculating, they heard Luo Shi say seriously, "You don't really want to rent this shop, do you?"

This dilapidated house doesn't actually belong to her family, but it does belong to the second son's family.

It's the same old house from over twenty years ago, now it's been vacant for ages and no one can live there anymore.

Hong Erniang was too lazy to argue with this person, so she said directly, "That's right, we just want to rent this shop to do some business."

"Or you could buy it, if the price is right."

Upon hearing that business had come in, Luo's attitude immediately underwent a complete 180-degree turn.

"Oh my, what a coincidence! Isn't this the house of my second son? Can you make a reservation today? If so, I'll find someone to go right away."

Luo's barrage of three questions and her enthusiastic attitude left Hong Erniang and He Tiantian feeling uncertain.

After waiting for a while and seeing that the two did not react, Luo urged them impatiently.

"Are you going to buy it or not? Let me tell you, houses near this academy are in high demand."

The only problem is that the second son's house isn't very popular because it's too small to be used for business.

Their house is bigger, so people have come to inquire about it, but unfortunately, the price they offer isn't quite right.

If they sell this house, their family will have nowhere to live.

“Okay, let’s call someone to come and take a look.” He Tiantian nodded in agreement.

Luo happily wiggled her hips and walked into the alley next door, saying, "You guys wait here, I'll go ask and be right back."

Luo walked to the end of the alley, stopped in front of a house, knocked on the door, and went inside.

Madam Fu was quite surprised, "Oh, sister-in-law, what brings you here?"

Luo threw off her handkerchief and went off happily, saying, "Oh, my second sister-in-law, good news, good news."

The Fu family has had a terrible run of bad luck these past few days. The husband hasn't been home for days, and nobody knows where he's gone. She's really worried about this; she just wants some news about whether he's alive or dead.

"Sister-in-law, please don't tease me. My husband hasn't come back yet, what good news could there be!" Fu Shi had a lot of grievances to say about this.

Luo knew about the Fu family's situation, but she didn't want to talk about such unlucky things at this time.

"Hey, would I lie to you? Someone wants to buy your old, run-down house in front of the building!"

Fu couldn't think of any dilapidated house for a moment, since the house was really old and usually used to store miscellaneous items.

"What kind of house?"

Seeing that Fu was being so uncooperative, Luo slapped her thigh and said in dissatisfaction, "It's that house in front, next to my house."

Fu immediately realized what was happening, "What? Really? Where is it?"

"They're right ahead, hurry up!" Madam Luo urged. "But these two are really like oil and water, they're from the same village as Xiu'er's husband, and speaking of which, they're actually sisters-in-law with my in-laws..."

At this point, Luo's wicked thoughts began to surface. She grabbed Fu's arm and muttered as they walked, "I was just saying that this price needs to be discussed properly. Your shabby house may not be great, but it's close to the academy gate, in such a prime location..."

At first, Madam Fu was quite unsure, but after being persuaded by Madam Luo, she suddenly felt more confident.

The two discussed the dilapidated house, insisting that it must start at two hundred taels.
