After all, it was the middle of summer, and Chen Ji was like a furnace.

He loosened his clasped hands, placed his arm around Xu Ruantang's shoulder, and leaned most of his weight on her.
Xu Ruantang supported him steadily, her tone playful: "Even Commander Chen gets tired sometimes? How are you? Can you still walk?"
Chen Ji stared at her with a stern expression, completely ignoring where he was going, and blurted out, "I can't walk."
Xu Ruantang took a step forward and stood directly in front of Chen Ji, draping his other arm over herself.
"Come on up! I'll carry you!"
As she spoke, she used all her strength to lift Chen Ji onto her back.
