Chapter 385 Taking out one's anger on vegetables

Xu Ruantang grabbed Xiaobao, who was about to rush forward, and Chen Ji picked her up and walked towards Chen Zheng.

Xiao Bao looked at Chen Zheng, and didn't resist in Chen Ji's arms. He blinked and said softly, "No, no."

She often mispronounced syllables.

Chen Zheng didn't mind, and smiled warmly as he reached out his hand, "Little Bao, can Uncle hug you?"

"not good."

Xiao Bao answered quickly, and his voice was exceptionally clear.

Tang Wan couldn't help but laugh.

After Xiao Bao finished speaking, he pointed at Yi Yi in Tang Wan's arms and excitedly exclaimed, "Eek, eh!"

The little one kicked its short legs in Chen Ji's arms, trying to get down.

"Xiao Bao, do you want to play with your little brother?"

Tang Wan hugged Yi Yi close and asked gently.

Xiao Bao nodded, "Mm!"

Both children were put down, and Xiao Bao excitedly ran towards Yi Yi and hugged her tightly.

Yi Yi had probably never seen such an enthusiastic person before, and she was so frightened that she made all sorts of funny faces. While pushing Xiao Bao away, she turned around and tried to snuggle into Tang Wan's arms.

The adults were amused by the two of them and started laughing.

"Why does it feel like it's the other way around? Shouldn't it be Yi Yi chasing after Xiao Bao?"

Xu Ruantang voiced her doubts.

Tang Wan smiled and agreed, "Yi Yi is probably more introverted because she's been with us."

That's true. Except when she was little, she had intestinal gas and cried all day long.

As he grew older, he noticed that the adults all seemed very quiet and reserved.

Xiao Bao's screaming phase and sensitive period for order are not yet evident in Yi Yi.

While the adults were talking, Yi Yi nestled quietly in Tang Wan's arms, while Xiao Bao was making a lot of noise, wanting to run over and touch and hug Yi Yi.

Once she gets to touch or hug someone, she excitedly looks around at the adults, then spins around in circles until she almost flies away.

In the end, Chen Ji was afraid she would fall, so he picked Xiao Bao up and carried her away.

The two spent most of the day shopping at the department store with their child, buying a new rice cooker and flower pots for Wang Xiuxiu's new house.

Then I bought a whole bunch of clothes for Xiaobao.

When Xu Ruantang bought it, she deliberately bought a size too big.

She thought to herself that it's hot all year round in the south, and even if Xiao Bao grows up, he'll still be able to wear it eventually.

After shopping, the three of them went straight back to their new home.

Having not been there for so long, Chen Ji first gave the place a thorough cleaning upon entering.

Xu Ruantang played with Xiaobao, and Xiaobao would cause trouble even when Chen Ji was sweeping the floor.

After tidying up the room, Chen Ji first made lunch for Xiao Bao.

The child eats softer foods than the adults, so Chen Ji made her some vegetable and egg noodles, which were almost dried before Xu Ruantang fed her.

When they finished preparing lunch, Chen Ji brought the dishes out of the kitchen, and Xu Ruantang had already put Xiao Bao to sleep.

She sat beside Xiaobao, watching the child's surrender-like sleeping posture, a faint smile on her lips, and deep reluctance in her eyes.

During their meal, Xu Ruantang talked about the changes in the neighborhood.

"I always thought there weren't many residents in our community, but I found out there are quite a few after I came here."

It turns out that the problem wasn't that there were no residents, but rather that everyone was too scared to come out because of Brother Dao and his gang.

Xu Ruantang and Chen Ji took Xiaobao downstairs for a walk in the afternoon and clearly felt that it was different from before.

Downstairs, adults were chatting with their children, the adults gathered in small groups, and the children's laughter filled the air, creating a lively atmosphere.

After having breakfast, Zhou Tian and the other two went to Wang Xiuxiu's house.

Lu Shishen, wearing an apron, came to open the door, while Lu Xiaozhao was still hanging on her father's lap.

"Little Bao, my little sister."

When Lu Xiaozhao saw Xiaobao, she excitedly reached out to take her hand.

The two children, oblivious to everyone else, held hands and went straight into the room.

Lu Xiaozhao took out all her toys and taught Xiaobao how to play with them one by one.

Lu Shishen invited the two inside, and Chen Ji handed over the gifts he had brought.

Wang Xiuxiu also came out of the room, smiling and saying, "Come, come in quickly, I have some newly arrived tea leaves, have a taste."

Wang Xiuxiu and Huan Yuanliang both love drinking tea. Whenever Huan Yuanliang gets his hands on a delicious cup of tea, he always brings some back for Wang Xiuxiu as well.

Knowing that Xu Ruantang preferred bitter tea, she pulled her to sit down at the tea table and began to introduce the tea: "This time it's Yunnan raw Pu'er tea, I'm sure you'll like it."

The two were chatting when Chen Ji and Lu Shishen put flower pots on the balcony.

Xu Ruantang bought a money tree for Wang Xiuxiu.

They knew each other well, and sure enough, Wang Xiuxiu's eyes crinkled with laughter when she saw the money tree.

Who else is coming today?

As Xu Ruantang picked up the tea that Wang Xiuxiu had just poured for her, she asked.

Wang Xiuxiu poured another glass and took it to Chen Ji on the balcony. She quickly returned and said with a smile, "I didn't invite many people. I ran into Shuhe while shopping at the department store the other day. She said she wanted to come over today after she found out."

Xu Ruantang nodded.

Wang Xiuxiu quickly added, "And our boss said he'd bring Huan Molin over when he has time."

Everyone was busy, so Wang Xiuxiu didn't want to bother them.

"Then he probably doesn't have time."

As Xu Ruantang spoke, she took a sip of tea. The bittersweet taste filled her throat, and her eyes lit up instantly.

Wang Xiuxiu raised her eyebrows smugly, "Is it delicious? I knew you'd like it, so I specially saved one for you. Take it with you when you leave."

Xu Ruantang didn't refuse and said with a smile, "Okay, thanks."

It was still early, so the two of them chatted idly.

After finishing his conversation with Chen Ji, Lu Shishen planned to continue preparing the ingredients in the kitchen.

The two children were playing happily nearby, and Chen Ji didn't want to disturb Xu Ruantang's conversation, so he followed them inside.
