When Xu Ruantang looked up, she saw a tall, slender man holding a beautifully sculpted child in his arms.
My little one is almost two years old, with big eyes and long eyelashes that are very pleasing to the eye.
She smiles at everyone she meets, with her crescent-shaped eyes and small dimples—the kind of face that can brighten your day just by looking at it.
As soon as Chen Jigang put her down, Xiao Bao stumbled and ran towards Xu Ruantang.
"Mommy, hug me!"
Xiao Bao's teeth haven't fully grown in yet, so he speaks with a lisp and his pronunciation is a bit unclear. He hugs Xu Ruantang's legs with his arms outstretched.
As soon as Xu Ruantang picked her up, Xiaobao kissed her on the cheek and stuffed his cotton rabbit into Xu Ruantang's hand.
Xu Ruantang held the baby and affectionately nuzzled her little face, her heart filled with tenderness.
Xiao Bao smiled happily and hugged Xu Ruantang's neck tightly.
Chen Ji watched this scene with a warm smile on his face.
He approached Xu Ruantang, gently stroked Xiaobao's hair, and said, "Wife, let's take Xiaobao for a walk by the lake. She's always wanted to see the ducks."
Xu Ruantang nodded, picked up Xiaobao, and left the lotus pond with Chen Ji.
Upon arriving at the lake, Xiao Bao excitedly pointed at the ducks on the lake and quacked.
Chen Ji carefully held Xiao Bao's hand to prevent her from falling into the water.
Xu Ruantang stood to the side, smiling as she watched them. Sunlight bathed the three of them, creating a beautiful scene.
The three of them didn't return home until the sun was setting and the sky was ablaze with a magnificent sunset.
Every time Xu Ruantang and Chen Ji bring Xiaobao over, they carefully bathe her.
Today, while watching the ducks by the lake, Xiao Bao unusually asked to buy a cute little duck-shaped toy.
Now, while taking a bath, she happily plays with this new toy, unable to put it down.
"Mommy, duck!"
Xiao Bao shouted excitedly, quickly stuffed the duck into the bathtub, and then couldn't wait to lift it up high and show it to Xu Ruantang.
Looking at her daughter's innocent smile, Xu Ruantang felt a surge of warmth in her heart and was about to respond with a smile.
However, at that moment, Xiao Bao suddenly dropped the duck he was holding and began to splash around happily in the water.
The sound of splashing water immediately rang out, and tiny hands kept slapping the surface of the water, splashing up countless droplets.
Xu Ruantang was instantly splashed with water, her face covered in water and her hair soaked.
The warm atmosphere was shattered, and the sweet feeling that had just begun to develop vanished without a trace.
"Little Bao, Mommy's going to give you a bath. Will you sit here and play with the ducks like a good girl?"
Xu Ruantang tried to reason with her.
Xiao Bao readily agreed, "Okay."
But as soon as he finished speaking, he started splashing the water excitedly again, each splash more joyful than the last.
She splashed most of the water out of the bathtub.
Most importantly, while taking pictures, Xiao Bao stared at Xu Ruantang with his big eyes and a triumphant smile on his lips.
This child, clearly not grown up yet, already has a rebellious streak.
Xu Ruantang couldn't hold him down by herself, so she had to call Chen Ji in.
As the bathroom door opened and closed, Xiao Bao saw Chen Ji and splashed water even more excitedly.
"Xiao Bao, take a good bath."
Chen Ji spoke in a deep voice, deliberately keeping a straight face.
However, Xiao Bao wasn't buying it at all. In the end, he gave Xiao Bao a bath, and the two of them were almost completely soaked.
the next day.
Xiao Bao was so tired from playing last night that he fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow, but he woke up very early this morning.
After getting up, she grabbed Xu Ruantang's pajamas and climbed up, her main point being that if she didn't sleep, no one else should either.
Chen Ji was about to go downstairs with Xiao Bao in his arms when Xu Ruantang, for the first time ever, sat up.
"Honey, you sleep a little longer, I'll take her downstairs to play."
Chen Ji hoisted Xiao Bao onto his shoulder, like he was carrying a real sack.
Xiao Bao leaned on Chen Ji's shoulder, maintaining a very difficult posture as he looked at Xu Ruantang, his two little dimples appearing on his face as he smiled.
They even shouted excitedly a few times.
"I'm not going to sleep anymore, I'm going downstairs for breakfast."
Xu Ruantang sat there, wondering how a child could have so much energy.
The three of them went downstairs together. While Xu Ruantang was washing up, Chen Ji made milk for Xiaobao.
She wobbled along, holding the baby bottle, and walked to the bathroom, drinking her milk while watching Xu Ruantang brush her teeth.
Logically, a child who is almost two years old should be able to walk very steadily.
Xiao Bao just won't walk properly. Every time she follows behind and calls out to slow down, Xiao Bao completely ignores her.
She's clearly a girl, but sometimes she stands with her legs spread apart, or she stands in a slouching manner.
They took her out for walks many times.
Xiao Bao got tired and plopped down on the curb, refusing to be carried by Xu Ruantang or Chen Ji.
When they tried to pick her up, she pushed their hands away and wiggled around with her short legs.
Not only did he sit down by himself, but he also patted the seat next to him, saying, "Mom, sit down! Dad, sit down!"
A little while later, he started sitting down and wiping the curb, rubbing his buttocks as he moved back and forth.
No matter what Xu Ruantang said, she wouldn't listen and was having a great time.
If Chen Ji dared to hug her, she would immediately burst into tears, her nose running and her eyes brimming with snot.
As soon as it was put down, he immediately stopped crying and started laughing.
Chen Ji followed him in to wash up, and Xu Ruantang complained to him, "Was Xiaobao born the wrong gender? Her behavior and habits are nothing like a girl's."
My hair never grows long; it's always sparse.
If she hadn't gone to the hospital and the doctor hadn't said she wasn't lacking anything, Xu Ruantang would have really suspected that the child was calcium deficient.
On their way out of the compound after breakfast, they ran into Tang Wan and Chen Zheng.
The two of them took Yi Yi, who was still not very good at walking, for a walk.
"Xiao Bao, call him Uncle."
