Wen Ruan sat in the living room, feeling restless and even afraid to breathe loudly, trying to hear if any sounds could be coming from the study.
However, the study was too far from the living room, so Wen Ruan couldn't hear anything.
About five minutes after they entered, Song's mother's voice came from inside: "What?"
