Chapter 111 He Can't Cure the Little Girl, But Someone Else Can.

Luo Shicheng picked up Hua Li and was about to rush out when Luo Yan grabbed him.

Hua Li woke up a few seconds after fainting, opened her eyes, and slapped Luo Shicheng across the face.

Luo Shicheng pressed his tongue against his cheek and helped Hua Li sit on the sofa.

While the two were not paying attention, Luo Yan picked up a teacup, poured a cup of spiritual spring water, and handed it to Hua Li.

Hua Li was thirsty, so he took it and drank it all in one gulp.

Perhaps she was hungry, because even the water tasted especially good. Hua Li put down her teacup and urged Luo Shicheng to leave.

"Go away, I don't want to see you again."

With a handprint on his face, Luo Shicheng strode towards the door.

As he reached the door, he turned back on a sudden inspiration and said something.

"I'm going to find Xiao Xiu. Don't worry, I will definitely bring Xiao Xiu back."

Hua Li's anger subsided, and she awkwardly avoided Luo Shicheng's gaze.

Seeing that Hua Li's expression had softened, Luo Shicheng walked out the door with peace of mind.

Luo Yan quietly followed behind Luo Shicheng, wanting to go with him to find Xiao Xiu, but she was discovered by Luo Shicheng after only a few steps.

Luo Shicheng's face darkened. "Go back."

Luo Yan looked aggrieved, her lips trembling, and her eyes brimming with tears.

"Hua Li!" Luo Shicheng called out to Hua Li in a loud voice.

He can't cure the little girl, but someone else can.

Hua Li heard this, came out, saw the little tail following Luo Shicheng, and remained silent for a moment.

"How about we go together?"

Luo Shicheng, "..."

Luo Shicheng retrieved the old bicycle that he had left at the Sun family's house, placed Luo Yan in the child seat on the front beam, and Hua Li sat in the back seat to give directions.

When they arrived at Wang Sheng's house, there were no lights on in the yard, so he must have already gone to bed.

Luo Shicheng memorized the house number and went to the police station to ask the on-duty police officer to retrieve the resident information.

Luo Shicheng showed his military officer's ID, and the police officers cooperated.

It was discovered that Wang Sheng's wife works in another city, and they have two daughters and a son. Wang Sheng drives a truck.

Based on this, Luo Shicheng deduced that even if Xiao Xiu was in Wang Sheng's hands, it was impossible for him to be hiding at home.

"Could it be at Liu Fengling's house?" Hua Li asked Luo Shicheng.

Only Liu Fengling and her son remained in Liu Fengling's home, making it easy for them to hide a five-year-old child.

Luo Shicheng shook his head. "If Xiao Xiu were at her house, she wouldn't have come to you in person. Since she dared to show up and negotiate with you, she must be confident that you can't find any fault with her. So, Xiao Xiu is very likely still in Wang Sheng's hands."

Luo Yan patted Luo Shicheng, and Luo Shicheng looked down at Luo Yan.

Luo Yan patted herself, "Brother."

Using me as bait, I'm sure I can find Xiao Xiu.

Neither Luo Shicheng nor Hua Li understood.

Luo Yan pointed in the direction of Wang Sheng's house, and Luo Shicheng rode his bicycle back to Wang Sheng's house with his wife and daughter on the back.

Luo Shicheng carried Luo Yan to the ground, and Luo Yan immediately started banging on the door.

Luo Shicheng and Hua Li were both startled. Luo Shicheng reacted quickly, gritted his teeth, pushed the cart, and pulled Hua Li to hide.

The knocking soon woke Wang Sheng. He opened the door, but no one was there.

Suddenly, his pants were tugged, and Wang Sheng looked down to see a little baby.

"Brother, brother..." Luo Yan looked up and called out to Wang Sheng.

Wang Sheng had once followed Hua Li to avenge Liu Fengling. After taking a closer look, he recognized her as Hua Li's daughter and immediately strode out, looking around.

After circling the house and not seeing anyone, Wang Sheng walked back to the door, bent down, and asked Luo Yan.

"Did you come here on your own?"

Luo Yan looked bewildered, "Brother..."

How did this girl know he had tied up that mute boy? Wang Sheng had no idea.

Wang Sheng picked up Luo Yan, walked a short distance away, dropped her off on the side of the road, and quickly went home.

I had just lain down and hadn't even fallen asleep when there was another knock on the door.

Unable to bear the disturbance any longer, Wang Sheng stormed out of the door, looked around to make sure no one was there, and then carried Luo Yan inside.

Upon entering the room, Wang Sheng used strips of cloth to tie Luo Yan to a chair, gagged her, and then lay back down on the kang (a heated brick bed) to sleep.

Just as Luo Yan was about to break free from her restraints after Wang Sheng had fallen asleep, a dark figure silently entered and untied the cloth strips.

Upon recognizing Luo Shicheng, Luo Yan's eyes widened in surprise.

Luo Shicheng removed the cloth that was gagging Luo Yan and turned her to face the window.

Pinch open Wang Sheng's mouth and stuff a cloth inside, then Luo Shicheng removes Wang Sheng's arms and begins to torture him.

Wang Sheng was unable to call for help; he was in so much pain that his whole body convulsed like a live maggot or pupa.

The room was dimly lit with the curtains drawn, and Wang Sheng couldn't see who it was at all, so he could only hum and beg for mercy.

When Wang Sheng fainted from the pain, feeling as if he were being scooped up by water, Luo Shicheng woke him up and removed the gag from his mouth.

Wang Sheng had never offended anyone, so the only reason someone would dare to bring someone into his home and harm him so severely was because of that mute boy.

"You're looking for that child, aren't you?" Wang Sheng asked.

Luo Shicheng did not answer, but he also did not take any further action against Wang Sheng.

Wang Sheng knew he had guessed correctly, but he stubbornly insisted.

"If you want to know where that child is, then..."

Luo Shicheng immediately gagged Wang Sheng, allowing him to continue to suffer a fate worse than death.

After the gag was removed, Wang Sheng confessed without saying a word.

“The old man next door was hospitalized and no one was home, so I hid the child in the cellar next door.”

Luo Shicheng knocked Wang Sheng unconscious with a single blow and was about to carry Luo Yan out when Luo Yan got off the bed, climbed onto the kang (a heated brick bed), and began slapping Wang Sheng's face repeatedly.

Shining a flashlight over it, Wang Sheng's face was covered in small handprints, and Luo Yan shook her reddened hands.

The daughter left this evidence specifically to prevent Wang Sheng from retaliating if he woke up, otherwise the charge of stealing a child would be enough to put Wang Sheng in a difficult position.

Luo Shicheng was greatly pleased and picked up Luo Yan, gently rubbing her little hand.

Hua Li was anxiously waiting outside. When she finally saw Luo Shicheng carrying Luo Yan over the wall, she rushed over and took Luo Yan to check her carefully.

Luo Shicheng climbed over the wall into the next room and quickly found the entrance to the vegetable cellar.

Without the key, Luo Shicheng dismantled the lock with his bare hands.

Luo Shicheng lifted the door panel of the cellar and shone his flashlight inside. Xiao Xiu, covered in dirt, was curled up in a corner, motionless.

Luo Shicheng climbed down the ladder and picked up Xiao Xiu, who was burning up and had fainted from the fever.

After leaving the cellar, Luo Shicheng jumped over the courtyard wall, picked up Xiao Xiu, and went to the hospital with Hua Li and Luo Yan, and then called the police.

Wang Sheng had just woken up when he opened his eyes to find himself surrounded by police. He knew he was finished this time and was filled with remorse.

Xiao Xiu had a high fever, and the doctor issued a critical condition notice. Luo Shicheng immediately called Xia Suya and asked her to tell Cheng Yi and his wife to come over quickly.

Cheng Yi and his wife arrived at noon the next day.

Xiao Xiu was still in the emergency room when Luo Shicheng, who was waiting outside, punched Cheng Yi a few times to welcome him.

Gu Xiu went to protect her husband, but Hua Li blocked her way.

After beating Cheng Yi, Luo Shicheng pressed him against the glass of the emergency room, making him look at Xiao Xiu, who was lying unconscious on the hospital bed.

"Remember this, from now on Xiaoxiu is my son. If you dare to send anyone to pick him up again, no matter who it is, I'll make sure you regret it."

If anyone else had said this, Cheng Yi would have scoffed, but since it was Luo Shicheng, ignoring him would be suicidal.

Gu Xiu hissed, "He's my son, what right do you have to stop us from seeing him?"

Hua Li's face was frosty. "Because you forced him away this time, leaving him on the verge of death, he will no longer owe you any debt of gratitude for his life, whether he lives or dies."
