Luo Shicheng was seeing his guest off when the phone rang at home.
Luo Yan answered the phone, and a soft female voice came from the other end.
"Is Battalion Commander Luo Shicheng here?"
Why would a woman call the house looking for her father? Luo Yan's alarm bells went off.
He handed the phone to Xiao Xiu. The receiver wasn't soundproof, and Xiao Xiu could hear that it was a woman looking for Luo Shicheng.
Are you looking for my father?
After a two-second silence, the other person asked, "I heard that Battalion Commander Luo only has one daughter. Who are you?"
"Then who are you?" Xiao Xiu asked instead of answering.
The woman said, "Oh, I'm the goddaughter of Battalion Commander Luo's great-grandfather. My grandfather is sick and hospitalized and wants to see Battalion Commander Luo, so could you please ask him to come and answer the phone?"
