"She's He Yanzhi?" The man had been so focused on talking to He Chuan that he hadn't noticed the people around him. Was this the child his sister had given birth to after going to the countryside? I heard the conditions back then were so poor that the child was born weak and had some congenital diseases. Guilt welled up in the man, and he became agitated once more.
"Come, child, come and let your uncle see you." Qi Maoxun waved Yanzhi over.
"Uncle, I'm He Yanzhi." The little girl rushed over and called out softly.
Qi Maoxun stared at the familiar face in a daze. He Yanzhi looked a lot like his sister when they were little. Qi Maoxun seemed to see that familiar figure chasing after him, calling out sweetly, "Brother, brother, wait for me."
He Chuan didn't actually look like his sister, but he did have some similarities with her. They say nephews resemble their uncles, and there's some truth to that. But that was the only similarity; He Chuan's features mostly came from his father.
"Okay, seeing you and your sister grow up healthy, I will die without regrets. Even if I go to the underworld, I will have the face to see Su Xin." Qi Maoxun was overwhelmed with emotions for a moment, covering his face and crying.
"Okay, Lao Qi, why are you crying on your wedding day? You're making a fool of yourself for the younger generation." Wang Man comforted him softly.
"Taotao, Yanzhi, come sit next to your aunt and talk to her." Wang Man patted the seats on both sides of her and gestured.
Su Tao took He Yanzhi over and sat on either side of his aunt.
