The next morning, Su Tao got up with two dark circles under his eyes and opened the door to see He Chuan sitting in the living room and eating breakfast with Su's father. Su Tao stared blankly at this familiar figure, as if he had an illusion that the man had not left yesterday.
When Su Qi came out of the kitchen, he saw Su Tao standing at the door of the bedroom. He urged him, "What are you doing? Get up at this hour. Hurry up and wash up so we can have breakfast together."
In fact, Su Tao did get up late today, and it was already noon.
But she couldn't be blamed for this. It was He Chuan who had told her to get up early yesterday, saying he was taking her somewhere, though he hadn't said where. She was so curious and excited that she couldn't sleep all night. She wondered where he was taking her tomorrow? Was he going to give her a romantic surprise? She'd fallen asleep so late, she'd overslept and woke up late today.
"Oh, then I'll go wake Yanzhi up and have breakfast together." Su Tao was just about to turn around and go back to the room to wake He Yanzhi up and have breakfast.
"Why are you yelling? Go wash up quickly. Let Yanzhi sleep a little longer. People need to sleep more to grow taller." Su Li interrupted Su Tao ruthlessly.
Su Tao turned around helplessly, pretending to look at Su Qi pitifully, "Mom, I'm still growing." Is this still her biological mother? How come it's all crooked in just a few days?
Su Qi was amused by Su Tao's little appearance. She covered her mouth and laughed, "Don't be naughty. If you grow up, come and wash up and have breakfast." She loved Su Tao too much. If they treated He Chuan and He Yanzhi well, they would treat Su Tao well in return. The relationship between people is mutual.
"Okay, Mom~" Su Tao went into the kitchen to wash up.
Su Tao came out after washing up, and the little girl He Yanzhi had just gotten up, so Su Qi took her to wash up.
Su Tao took small bites of the egg pancake made by Su Li and ate it.
Today was the weekend, and both Su's father and Su Qi were on vacation. After breakfast, He Chuan and Su's father each took a newspaper they had bought that morning and leisurely read it, chatting from time to time.
"I'm done eating. Let's go. Didn't you say you would take me somewhere today?" Su Tao said with a smile after wiping his mouth.
"Well, let's go together after He Yanzhi finishes eating." He Chuan glanced at Su Tao and continued reading the newspaper.
What? He Yanzhi is going too? Aren't they on a date alone? Su Tao felt like a bucket of cold water was suddenly poured over him. He was completely chilled.
You shouldn't have any expectations from this boring man.
He Chuan saw Su Tao's expression suddenly change from excitement to dejection like a frosted eggplant, and asked with concern: "What's wrong?"
Su Tao had two dark circles under his eyes, and his resentful eyes drifted towards He Chuan. He said weakly, "Nothing, maybe I didn't sleep well."
"Or, you can go back to sleep for a while. There's no rush for us anyway." He Chuan really thought that Su Tao hadn't slept well and was not in the mood.
"No need." It would be strange if she could sleep now.
The three of them went out after He Yanzhi finished breakfast.
"Mom, we may not be back for lunch, so don't prepare our meals." He Chuan looked at the time. It was already past ten o'clock. It would probably be almost noon when he got there, and it would be afternoon when he got back.
"Hey, go and get busy." Su Li responded readily.
