Chapter 18 Reconciliation (1/2)

Chapter 18 He

When Su Tao came out of the shower, it was already late. The bright moonlight shone lightly on the ground through the thin clouds. The night in the countryside was miraculously quiet, without the hustle and bustle of the city.

A familiar red handkerchief swayed in the night breeze. It was the handkerchief He Chuan used to bandage Su Tao when she was injured last time.

Su Tao took off the handkerchief, folded it and put it in his pocket.

Su Tao packed up his things in the house and planned to return the handkerchief to He Chuan. He also brought some snails for He Chuan to try, after all, it was he who helped bring it here.

It would be even more annoying if I could brush off a wave of intimacy. I don't know if He Chuan will still pay attention to me. That day, someone helped me get snails, and I didn't even say thank you. I ignored him the whole time. Anyone would be angry, right?

You will suffer the consequences of your own actions, Su Tao said with a wry smile in his heart.

He Xinyi stared at Su Tao's back as he left with a venomous look, pretending to be concerned and pouring black water on him: "Taotao, I wonder if you have something important to do that has taken you out so late. It's so bright and dark..." She seemed to be hesitant to speak, as if Su Tao was going to do something shameful.

The speaker may seem unintentional, but the listener is intentional.

At this time, Sun Chuanfang's small triangular eyes looked towards the door, his eyeballs rolling around, and no one knew what he was thinking.

"My stomach hurts, I need to go out for a while." Sun Chuanfang covered his stomach and rushed out.

He Xinyi looked at the direction Sun Chuanfang left and a strange smile appeared on the corner of her mouth.

Su Tao walked towards He Chuan's house in the moonlight. As he walked, Su Tao seemed to feel a pair of eyes staring at him like a shadow.

So he stopped and looked around, but after looking around, he didn't see any suspicious people.

But when she turned around and continued walking forward, the feeling of being stared at came back.

Su Tao suddenly felt terrified and hurried towards He Chuan's house. He kept an eye out for any suspicious activity around him, but still found nothing.

Su Tao remembered that He Chuan's house was on the edge of the village, near the foot of the mountain.

Su Tao looked at the tall, historic blue brick and tile house in front of him. The brick walls were covered with vines, the carved wooden windows were full of cracks, and the large red wooden door looked heavy and solemn.

Su Tao didn't dare to recognize it for a moment. Is this He Chuan's house?

Su Tao suspiciously knocked on the copper ring on the big wooden door. Dong...Dong...Dong...

With a "creak", not long after, the door opened a little, and a fluffy little head popped out. It was a little girl of about eleven or twelve years old, with a sickly and pale face, black and shiny eyes, and an innocent smile in her clear eyes.

"Excuse me, is this He Chuan's home? My name is Su Taotao, and I'm here to look for He Chuan's dad." Su Tao knew that He Chuan had a sickly younger sister. Looking at the girl in front of him who looked 50% like He Chuan, he already knew in his heart that this was He Chuan's home.

"Su Taotao? Ah~ Are you the Su educated youth who gave my brother the big meat bun?" The little girl's dark eyes suddenly opened wide and round, with surprise in her eyes. She opened the door completely with both hands and invited Su Tao in.

Walking into the house, there is a courtyard with a living room in the front. There are two main rooms on both sides of the living room, and three side rooms of different sizes on the east and west sides. The whole courtyard is square and looks like a Chinese character "口".

Su Tao was welcomed into the hall. The furnishings in the room were very simple. On the wall was a portrait of Chairman Mao with 11 big red characters below: "Chairman Mao is the sun in our hearts". There was also a shabby eight-immortal table, four long benches, and some bamboo baskets in the corner.

Su Tao already knew that He Chuan's sister was called He Yanzhi. She was a very cute girl with a cheerful personality and loved to laugh. Unlike a certain person who had a cold face every day. He was really gluttonous and wasted the beautiful face given to him by God. Su Tao shook his head secretly in his heart.

He Yanzhi considerately wiped the long bench with a cloth and pulled it open, saying, "Sister, please sit down and wait for a moment. My brother is taking a shower and should be out soon."

Then he handed Su Tao a cup of tea. Su Tao took a sip. "Hmm? Is this Tieguanyin?" The tea was golden in color, with a faint orchid fragrance. The taste was mellow and sweet, just a little bitter, but still very delicious.

Su Tao raised his eyelids, and looked at He Yanzhi with surprise in his bright eyes, asking for confirmation: "Is this Tieguanyin?" Su Tao didn't expect that although He Chuan's house looked nice, the house was very simple, and there was not even any decent furniture. How could he take out such top-grade Tieguanyin?
