The moment Su Tao's lips left his, the man took the initiative, picked up Su Tao, turned over, and pressed Su Tao on the bench. His lips accurately covered the woman's delicate red lips again, like a hungry tiger finally seeing fat meat, ferociously devouring her soft lips.
The cool touch and the unique scent of a man's body instantly filled Su Tao's heart and lungs. She felt her brain rumbling and her heartbeat seemed to stop. She almost couldn't breathe and felt even more dizzy.
After a long time, He Chuan let Su Tao go. Su Tao's face was flushed, his eyes were blurred, and his red lips were slightly swollen. He Chuan almost couldn't help but want to kiss him again.
He Chuan turned his head away, cleared his throat, and said, "Sit beside me, farther away so I don't bump into you. I haven't finished my work yet."
Su Tao quickly sat down nearby and didn't dare to do it again. She couldn't handle it if it happened again. This man couldn't be flirted with casually. She almost got into trouble.
Next, Su Tao went to the bookshelf, found a book, and sat down at the desk, reading while watching the man help her make the box.
After working for an entire afternoon, the box was finally finished. The square box was polished very smoothly and was unpainted in its natural wood color. Some simple patterns were carved on the top of the box. It was both simple and beautiful. The more Su Tao looked at it, the more she liked it. She couldn't wait to carry it back to the room and put her things in it.
"Your craftsmanship is really good. I like it very much. Thank you." Su Tao praised happily.
Beads of sweat hung on He Chuan's forehead, and his clothes were already soaked with sweat. Seeing that Su Tao liked it, his heart was filled with satisfaction.
"Look at what you still need. There is still some wood left. I can help you if I am free these days." He Chuan spoke in a low voice.
Su Tao thought about it and realized that she didn't lack anything. Oh, and He Chuan knew how to carve. She remembered that there was something she really needed.
"Can you help me make a steamer mold?" Su Tao told He Chuan excitedly.
He Chuan frowned. "Steamer mold? What is that? If it's a steamer, don't we have one at home?"
Su Tao saw He Chuan's confusion and described it to him, "It's just a wooden box. You have to carve out molds in the shape of animals or flowers and plants. Then I can fill the molds with batter or rice cakes, steam them, and then take them out to make cakes in the shape of animals or flowers and plants."
As soon as Su Tao explained, He Chuan came to his senses, "As for carving, I can do simple flowers and plants, but for animals, I need to have a picture to carve according to." His artistic skills are not that strong, and he can't carve out the appearance of animals just by imagining them, but he can still carve according to the model.
"Is a picture enough? That's easy, I'll draw it for you later." Su Tao didn't want to carve it too finely; a rough outline of an animal pattern would be enough. She trusted He Chuan to do it well. That way, she could make some cakes for He Chuan to sell on the weekend.
That evening, Su Tao pulled out a pound of pig intestines from his space and cooked them again, along with scrambled eggs with tomatoes and some seasonal vegetables. The meal was unanimously approved by the He siblings. Fortunately, He Chuan never meddles in these trivial matters at home. She hadn't seen her buy pig intestines the other day when she went to town with him, so she had no idea how to explain where they came from.
Unbeknownst to Su Tao, He Chuan actually saw everything. He Chuan paid close attention to everything Su Tao did. He felt that Su Tao was somewhat mysterious, always able to come up with some strange and bizarre things. He thought that she must have some unknown secrets, which seemed out of place in this world and this era. But what did it matter? He just wanted her to be by his side. He would protect her and wait for the day when she was willing to tell him.
